I had recently learned that…read morealthough I've always been allergic to dust I could have developed more since I was last tested years ago. I had an initial consult with one of the physicians in this practice-Dr. Michael Orsini. He took the time to listen and address my concerns and explained the underlying cause of my post nasal drip. He also gave me literature to read and recommended me taking an OTC medication to keep it in check for now. He recommended I return for allergy testing which is done in another part of their office and then will determine if allergy shots are necessary and in my best interest. This practice has multiple locations. They have a strict cancellation policy where they will charge you $25.00 if you fail to give them notice within the proper time frames for whatever procedure you are having done. The waiting area is clean and there is a separate section for children. Although I had to wait about 30 minutes to be seen it was on par with most practices I have visited. Most major insurances are accepted and they will give you procedure codes you can tell you health insurance to see whether or not the service is covered or needs preauthorization. I normally check ahead before I see a new physician to make sure the doctor is in network with my health care plan so I'm not overtaken with "hidden" costs. Time will tell if I will benefit from taking allergy shots but all in all I was pleased with how things went here. The office staff is very cordial and they are willing to make "allowances" if you have a late cancel with a valid reason. The practice is located in Edgeworth Medical commons building near Sewickley, PA. The practice name is "ENT and allergy specialists of Western PA. P.C". I mention this because the practice is not limited to allergies. You can visit one of their physicians for anything involving ear, nose, and throat, sleep apnea, hearing aids, and vertigo to name a few. They have their own parking lot and special parking up front for surgical patients and handicapped parking since this building incorporates multiple practices on different floors. It sits on Rt 65 about a mile west of the Sewickley bridge.

My main symptom was severe stuffy nose. 2 months later instill could not get my nose un-stuffed. I went to my Dr and other Drs with no help, they all said, it is left over Covid it will clear when its ready. Told me to use Mucinex And Flonase. I returned a month later, told the same thing, I have to just let it run its course. I finally decided something had to be done! I found Dr. Orsini!! From the moment I left the office my whole life turned around. He took great concern I felt and started me on the road to healing. He told me it took along time to get this bad (6 mos) and it would take a while to heal. He was right, I do everything he tells me and I am so much better. I know I am not healed completely and understand it will still take a while longer. I can now breath out of my nose, I can blow it when its stuffed, like first thing in the morning, get it to clear and carry on with my day FINALLY!! In my opinion Dr Orsini is a blessing. I would tell anyone and everyone, need an ENT he is the man to see. His office staff is very professional and caring. They work with you to make sure you can get in and be seen. I could never thank him enough for what he has done for me and continues to do!! Sophia Prose

She's been named to Pittsburgh Magazine's Top Doctors list in past years and it's well deserved. Sarah is personable, easy to discuss just about anything with, and really knowledgeable in her field. She never makes you feel like she's rushing to get to the next patient and she's efficient and thorough. She's really good at analyzing your personal risk factors and ordering tests that will give her a clearer picture of your health because her goal is always to keep her patients healthy. Some of the tests she's ordered were things I've literally known nothing about but did them because I trusted her judgment and said afterward, thank goodness I did that when something was discovered that needed to be. Her office has also called me with a subtle reminder to get my act together and call to schedule a test she's felt was necessary and I'd been putting off. How many physicians are that on top of things? I'd venture to guess that type of follow-up is unique and just one more thing that makes her amazing.
