I've been through four accountants in my ten years of a retail business. Anthony was the first to…read morespend time with me, give me recommendations on legitimate deductions no other accountant told me I could take (e.g, my dead stock), and charged less than the other indifferent professionals I had used. I feel as though I've finally found a financial professional who's really on my team. What a relief.

Anthony charges $350 for any and all tax returns which is extremely high cost. He did my tax return…read moreover email since I couldn't meet him in person because he bought out my former CPA's business and he's over an hour away from me. I called him and asked him to also do my boyfriend's tax return and we have a son together so we wanted to know what scenarios would be best for us which is obviously a normal question to ask your tax preparer. He forgot to file anmendment for last year's return when he said he would, when my PMI was left off a form intentionally by my bank because they weren't sure whether tax laws allowed people to deduct PMI then sent it after i already filed my taxes. Anthony told me in writing he'd amend it and then forgot as he always "forgets" since he is very unorganized and obviously too busy to spend the appropriate time with each customer. He said "your tax return has obviously been filed after your initial review. If there are errors I will of course correct the returns." He said of course but didn't file my amendment for last year! Then he goes on to say "If you had all theses questions which need answers you should have set up an appt (or call) so we could have discussed before any return was filed." I did call him and email him to ask him specifically if he could run these scenarios and he told me he'd do my boyfriend's tax return and obviously just said yes to appease me and get the new business. He goes on to say "It is difficult to have these email barrages and try to keep track of all the questions and answers, especially projections of filing a joint married return when you are not married. Arrange a time to call and I will gladly answer your questions but I will not continue the email confusion. You should know that our minimum fee is now $350 for any return and it is only because of your relationship to John that your and RJ fee is low. It is not our job to continue to run alternatives scenarios in the normal process of doing a return." It's not a tax preparers job to run different scenarios!? If you're thinking of using Anthony to do your tax returns, RUN! He's overpriced and not customer focused or friendly and dumps his work on his son Nick who also dropped the ball and filed our taxes two weeks after we sent them. My boyfriend used to pay his CPA less than $100 and sat down for half hour to do his return and it was done that day. I convinced him to use Anthony because he promised he'd run these scenarios but he lied to get the business and charged him $200 and me $250 and now i gotta pay this guy $450 of my hard earned money when he didn't do the job he promised. Finally he ends his email reply (after months of asking the same questions with literally no response until now) "We of course try to provide quality service but sometimes things do not go smoothly and I apologize for that." This guy is all over the place and I wouldn't trust him with something as important as your tax return. Also his secretary mailed my tax return back to me with full social security written on it and I never got it. It was "lost" in the mail and I've had attempts at my identity being stolen since. Just an overall terrible experience and I'm sorry I ever had him do any of my returns and hope to prevent these same issues from happening to anyone else!

They were very minor, but not comforting knowing the person we rely on for this is making mistakes. When we asked him about what happened, he brushed it off as no big deal...okay fine, we moved past it. This year, he provided us with withholding consultation, which we paid extra for, that was WAY off. We noticed the inconsistencies in early April and brought them to his attention, to which he requested we follow up after tax season (understandable). We then met with him when schedules allowed, and it was clear he was completely lost on how our income works, and let me tell you, it's not that complex at all! He then had the nerve to ask us to pay for these services again! When I questioned him on this and reminded him that we had already paid for these services and that he missed the mark, he completely ghosted us. We left countless voicemails, sent a bunch of emails, and he would not respond. This went on over the course of 5 weeks, it was clear he was avoiding me. He never took the time to ask simple questions about our income and, even worse, made assumptions about how we earn our yealy incomes. He completely relied on this tax accounting software to do the work for him, and unfortunately for us, that still requires some level of competence... I'm writing this review to save others from the pain of having to go through this, do yourself a favor, and look elsewhere.
