My experience with this company is in different stages. When I first met Hugo, he was very nice and…read moreaccomodative. However he cancelled twice for the evaluation of my project. When he initially came to evaluate my project, which was to remove and replace some wood siding of my fence and around the eves of the condo, I have new gutters that I had replaced a couple of years ago. I specifically told him that I did not want the gutters painted. The gutters are bronze in color. After I approved the price, he started on March 11, 2026. Besides the rain delaying the extensive time it took, it went well. However, Hugo did not properly supervise the project. All of the wood siding repairs, replacement and replacing the gate to my fence it went well. The issue came when the painting began. He seems to only have one painter, or that's what he lead me to believe. After a few days of his painter being on the job, when I came home from work, I immediately saw that he had painted the gutters beige. I contacted Hugo and alerted him; he enitially disputed that I did not tell him not to paint the gutters, but later recanted. When his painter came to repaint the gutters, he painted them brown, which is the color of the trim. I contacted him again and he corrected it. Shortly after that event, I had the front of my front door painged beige; he took one and a half hours to prep the door and two hours to paint the door. After he left, I saw that the overspray was on my white wall and the floor. I contacted Hugo again to let him know. I supplied him the white paint to paint the areas of overspray. Then I noticed that he painted one side of the trim bronze, so I had to contact Hugo again. This is when he becane defensive and whined about the time his (one) painter had taken to address all of the valid issues I had. Finally I contacted Hugo today, sending him pictures of the color descrepency of the two walls with the trim. Again he whined about that and he said he was done essentially with my dissatisfaction. This is why I gave Hand2Hand an unfavorable review. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for, and I would not recommend his company, considering the service, or lack there was.

His price was very reasonable and he was able to start the next day. He showed up on time and finished the job ahead of time. Not only did he do an excellent job, he was friendly and cleaned up after all the work. (Trust me, you may think that's a given, it's not.) We are so impressed by the work he did we will be using him for other jobs around the house. We are new to the area and it is such a relief to have found someone who is trustworthy and skilled that we know we can count on for a variety of issues that come with a new house. He can do a variety of home improvements, so we will definitely be using him for future projects!

JEFFERY IS NOT A LICENSCED CONTRACTOR. PLEASE CHECK THE LICENSE # BEFORE HIRING HIM. I hired H T…read moreConstruction to install luxury vinyl plank flooring in my foyer, living room and dining room area. Jeffery came to my home and installed my vinyl flooring. The floor cracks when I walk on it and the planks are not properly locked together. Also, when I walk on the floor, I stump my toes because the floor is so poorly installed the ridges from where they are supposed to join are raised off the floor. I tried to resolve these issues with Jeffery with no resolution. Jeffery was rude and constantly talked over me and made it clear that I did not know how a floor should look, and I did not know what I was talking about even though I have laminated flooring in other parts of my home. Jeffery also told me he installed a FLOATING FLOOR. FLOATING FLOORS DO NOT LOOK LIKE THIS, MY FLOOR. It would not take a professional contractor to look at my floor and know it was installed poorly. My advice is run do not walk away from H T Construction. All of the hype you see on their website; not true. They will take your money and not do the work correctly. Also let me add I requested a breakdown of my PAID invoice and have not received that as of this date 07/27/2024. The room painting was done poorly; painted the air conditioning thermostat and vent, window chain used to open and close the verticals. Did not tape off anything just painted. I was also charged for an electrician that never came to replace and check my electrical outlets. Two floor installers showed up to do the floor installation; one was a young man who looked like he was still in high school and did not have any idea of how to install flooring. Jeffery told me maybe the flooring was defective. When I questioned him if the floor was defective, he should have seen that as the floor was being installed and not installed the flooring and I could have retuned the flooring. This was another attempt to shift the blame for the poorly installed flooring to something or someone else. H T CONSTRUCTION & RENOVATIONS INC

I asked J Bailey for a price on repairing exterior wall cracks and painting my main house and back…read morecottage. Although his price was fair, because I am on a fixed retirement income I could afford only to have the main house done. I was worried that, because the job was pretty small, he would pass on it (it's happened before), especially since a lot of his work is pretty big projects, but he was very understanding and re-wrote the proposal for the main house only, plus he agreed to let me look on to learn how they did the repairs and the materials they used so I could try to do the back house myself later. He used subcontractors for the work but it was a very small and tightly knit crew, and Jeff Bailey was on site several times to make sure everything was going as planned. This was the first impressive thing about J Bailey--even though my job was a small one, it was getting the same level of consideration as his big jobs. The second impressive thing was how communicative everyone was. They texted daily to inform me who would show up when, and what work they would do the next day, and told me in advance the one day they couldn't make it due to weather. When they were here, they described step-by-step what they did. I was never in the dark about anything. About the contractors: Maynor (sorry if sic) patched all the major cracks. He told me what he used, and described what he was doing and what tools I'd need for my back house. He did excellent work, once the paint was on you can't see any trace of the patch jobs. A father-son team, Ed & Brandon, did the initial pressure-washing, most of the minor crack patches (Maynor came back and helped on one day), priming, and painting. Ed did most of the painting. He showed me what to use for patches and how to work it into the cracks. He used top-of-the-line paint, Benjamin Moore, and did a meticulous job, he got into some pretty difficult spaces to get the porch and patio walls. And even though my back door and steps were not in the contract, he painted them anyway with the leftover paint I had the last time I painted them. These guys do a great job for what they're hired to do, and go above & beyond their contracted responsibilities to make sure the job is not only right, but the best.
