Dental stuff is the only thing that really gives me white coat anxiety. I have an irrational fear…read moreof my teeth breaking or falling out of my head. Dentist visits make me anxious, but the potential loss of my teeth is scarier. So I go to my appointments regularly. I originally began patronizing Breckenridge Dental Care because it was convenient to my apartment at the time, and they took my dental insurance. It is no longer conveniently located to where I live, and they no longer accept my dental insurance. BUT I STILL COME HERE because I think I have gotten great care, they don't shame me or make me feel bad, they have appointment times that work for my schedule, and until recently I loved my hygienist! She has recently left, but the front desk staff suggested a new-to-me one who she said had similar feedback and so far, I agree. They are both kind and friendly and gentle but thorough in their job. The only reason this is not 5 stars is that, more than once, I have not received my appointment reminders, and more importantly there was a day when my appointment was cancelled on their end and I didn't get notified until 90 minutes beforehand because the texts and calls about them were going to my sister. My sister is also a patient here, and we have the same last name...but our first names are very different and our phone numbers don't even have the same area code. That day with the cancellation was really frustrating and infuriating, and I ultimately found out that my appointment was cancelled from my sister and not from the business. I know they have had some staff turnover or new staff in the last couple years, but this is an issue that shouldn't be that hard to fix/not do. But I keep going out of my way and paying out of pocket because of the care I feel I get here.
