Welcome to the Jersey Shore Vacation Grifter's Club, Blue Palms. Go ahead. You've earned it…read more We had been coming for years, but this place has slipped into the typical vacation grift destination and is to be avoided. This property is right at the boardwalk and right at the main amusement pier. For which you need "tickets." The Blue Palms has a "funclusive" deal where if you stay there, they give you some 'free' tickets. Isn't that great? The deal with the tickets is the *main* reason we'd stay here. The location is also great. But you DO NOT GET THAT 'FREE' TICKET DEAL IF YOU BOOK THROUGH EXPEDIA. Instead, they'll tell you to CANCEL Expedia and re-book through them. Even at the front desk - as we checked in - they advised us to do that! (Never mind the Expedia policy for cancellation indicated 27 April was my latest opportunity). The manager went into some detail that, had I listened *carefully* to the information message (which I did), I would _know_ that I would NOT have the ticket benefit unless I canceled Expedia and instead booked directly. It's enough to make a cat laugh. That's slimy, low, cheapskate grifter behavior. To save themselves, what, $10? Maybe? They rip off Expedia, rip *me* off, rip off my rewards, etc. Why not put it in your advertisements? Setting their mountebank behavior to one side, let's discuss the stuff that ruins trips in the immediate sense, not just the "I feel like I've been robbed!" sense: * No control for room temperature. There's a fan (1,2,3) control, but no thermostat. Hope the temp suits you! * Used to have free bikes for guests! Sure they were rough, but at least they had them, a nice convenience. GONE NOW. OK, I get it. Times change and prices rise, so they put in a rental bike system. BUT THEY HAD ZERO BIKES. It's not like they're all rented out; they're just not there. * Good Luck if you have to park in the section of the lot nearest those for-pay bike racks that don't actually have any bikes. Its preposterously tight dimensions are a hazard to driver, car, pedestrian, and stroller alike. * See photo. Dirty sheets :( ... to be fair, I'm not sure I cared that much. But after all their charlatan behavior, I am duty-bound to include a photo of the vague-ishly dirty top sheet. **** An outfit like Morey's should be better than this. **** P.S. A slight tangent, to be sure: You can hear the Honky Tonk bar from the hotel. This may or may not be pleasant according to your tastes. But I can tell you this: If you can hear the Honky Tonk from the Blue Palms, the Honky Tonk will be *painfully* loud inside. (Yes, I am an expert. Feel free to inquire within). *** PROS *** : 1. It is steps from the Boardwalk and Morey's (Mariner's) Piers.

May 23, 2025 We…read morereturned from our second stay at Summer Nites in Wildwood NJ. Shelia and Rick have a wonderful Bed and Breakfast and from the moment you walk in you are welcomed with a very warm cheerful greeting. Shelia and Rick are the most pleasant, friendliest people and they go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. All the rooms have a different theme from the 50's, 60's & 70's. There is an Elvis Room that is all decorated in black and gold, a 70's room with a real working disco ball above the jacuzzi tub. Our favorite and the room we stayed in both times is "Life is a Beach". The bed is very comfortable. Loved that there was a small refrigerator in the room, the only suggestion would be to have 2 chairs for sitting on in the evening. We had a chair in our car from when we went to our granddaughter's softball games and that worked out great. Shelia and Rick thought of everything that will truly bring you back to reliving the past eras. Breakfast and afternoon refreshments are served in a room that resembles a 50's style diner and each booth has an authentic jukebox loaded with 50's, 60's and 70's style music. Shelia & Rick supply the quarters so you can select your favorite songs to listen to while enjoying breakfast and later in the afternoon while enjoying your refreshments. There is even a working Coke machine to grab yourself a bottle of coke anytime, with dimes that are supplied on top of the machine in a Coke tin. There are 4 rooms on the first floor with a private entrances: Life's a Beach, 70's Disco, Elvis, 60's Suite (this room is ADA accessible). In the common area, there is a Keurig coffee machine so you can get a cup of coffee or hot tea anytime. There is also a full-size pool table on the main floor, and a few neat vintage pinball games await on the lower level that all you have to do is turn them on to play. I highly recommend staying here, as the entire place is immaculately clean with private parking. There are even bikes you can take out. A favorite thing for us was sitting on the front porch with coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening on the wicker rockers with a nice breeze. We are already planning our return visit for next June 2026. Shelia & Rick, along with all their staff, is kind and caring. Thank you all very much for a lovely stay. See you on our next stay. But, oh. Those summer Nites! (Tell me more, tell me more....)…read more My wife and I have never been to the Jersey Shore. I had booked a spot for Corvettes on the Boardwalk in Ocean City and needed a place to crash. But where? I found Summer Nites and from the pictures it looked like a beautiful seaside mansion. Sold! We arrived on Saturday night for a two night stay. Sheila greeted us and proudly showed us her home. The theme throughout the home is the fabulous 50's. We're shown into the kitchen and it is a beautiful recreation of a 50's style diner. Each booth has a few quarters to play the authentic jukebox loaded with, yep! 50s and 60s style records. I had that bad boy crankin' the Beach Boys and Frankie Valli. There is a working Coke machine (with dimes in a can) grab yourself a bottle anytime! There are two working hot tubs on the property and the front porch has rocking chairs to sit and relax. In the garage, Sheilas husband has his 57 Chevy waiting to cruise. Sheila & Rick are car people too?? Very very cool. Each morning we were greeted with an amazing breakfast. To start, a large fruit cup and freshly baked muffins were waiting for us. I poured myself a coffee as I was served a delicious homemade waffle and sausage. This has to be the best Bed & Breakfast I ever stayed at. Our room was the Marilyn Monroe room. Lots of Pink! When I walked into the room, I didn't know what to expect. My wife filled up the Jacuzzi and used the bath bomb in the water. After a 10 minute soak, I can understand why JFK kept Marilyn as his side piece. We checked out on Monday, we were the only guests in the B&B. Sheila sat with us and we talked about the future events at Summer Nites. Sheila, I can honestly say we had a great time and cannot wait to return next year.

Visit Date: July 28, 2025 into July 29, 2025…read more My boyfriend's family was staying here for their Summer Vacation. My boyfriend was there from Monday to Wednesday, my son and I came out to stay Monday night into Tuesday and we left Tuesday night because I had a notary class the next day on July 30. I did love it here, my one issue was not enough parking. They only allowed one car per room to park on the property. I had so much stuff with me because I was not only packed for one night in Wildwood but packed for the next week without my son in case I ended up sleeping over anywhere. I usually don't sleep over anyone's house but my sister's but I always carry extra clothes on nights I won't have my son in case I end up being offered to sleep at a friend's house or something I'm prepared. So because of my issues with being prepared and having too much stuff when I found out I couldn't park at the hotel I had a mini heart attack on the inside. When I got to the hotel, I had to figure out what I needed and unload my car and than I ended up parking the car 3 blocks away. I am not sure if they can arrange more parking, I don't know if it's possible but it's the one gripe I have. The room my boyfriend, son and I stayed in had a king size bed. I bought a cot for my son to sleep on but my son ended up at the end of the bed because he didn't want to sleep in the cot, I ended up in the middle of the bed and my boyfriend ended up at the other end of the bed. The 3 of us fit lol. The room had a kitchenette. I love the rooms with the kitchenettes. I like to bring groceries with me on trips so I can save money on food out so anyplace that has a kitchenette I love. I bought regular coffee to brew and were dismayed to learn they had a keurig, if I knew that I would have bought some of my disposable k cups with me. It ended up being okay they had starbucks k cups that they provided and I was more than happy to drink that. They had a pretty nice pool. I didn't get to visit the beach but I heard they provided beach accessories. This hotel was also located at the end of the boardwalk and very close to it. I would stay here again if I were given a chance.

Couldn't be nicer. They were through, and needed to ready what looked to be 20+ rooms. I suggest you be patient, if you can't then go home. We waited by going to get some lunch and a walk. Our room was clean, clean linens and towels. We brought our own pillows and blankets. If you can't figure that out from the reading the other reviews then go home. Our room had 2 double beds very firm mattresses so if that's a problem bring a pad. I've read enough reviews to know what I'm getting and don't act so surprised. We parked in a single spot and they do have additional parking up the street. So stop whining about the parking. Simone the manager was very nice and we chatted for a while. COVID decimated this town and it these places are trying to get back to making a profit. So tip your housekeepers. There are 2 of them so leave 10 a night. If You're from Jersey then you tip hard. If you're cheap then shame on you. You stay here because it's convenient, clean and you like being around people. The partiers, crowds and noise are all part of it's charm. You don't come here to get rest, calm and solitude. If you want that then you're in the wrong state. If you grew up in Nj like I did we'll share but we won't shed a tear if you leave unhappy. We love this place. The inconveniences are all easily overcome. We book early in the year so we get great prices $141 a night. $500 less than if we booked now in July ($635 vs close to $1300 w/taxes & fees) for the same 4 nights Mon-Fri. I've read the reviews on all the major sites for the place. Most seem to be from those who are unable to manage their own expectations. They see problems I see it opportunities. We will be back again in the fall and again next summer. We really love it here, and you can too if you choose too.

This was the most horrible hotel/motel experience I have ever had…read more Upon arrival the office was locked and there were no hotel staff to be found. We had to call Tony (the manager) to come to the hotel to check us in. He arrived dirty and rude and grumbled through checking us in, charged us an additional made up "resort" fee, and informed us that the "piggyback parking" meant that if another guest parked behind us we would have to attempt to locate them ourselves to have them move their vehicle. Upon entering the room we were assaulted with the most horrendous odor, picture a combination of stale cigar smoke and urine. The room was filthy dirty: sticky, sandy tile floor, clumps of dirt in corners, dead bugs under bed. The bed frame was repaired with duct tape. Mold on box spring and pillow cases, and on air conditioner. Save your money and your health! Sleep in your car!!
