He is very upfront and walked me through each phase and again embraced me for the dust that would travel through out the house even with the plastic tarps taped up to capture it all. The concrete dust was crazy and can't thank Joe and his team for doing an amazing job with the 4 days they were down there. From start to finish they were excellent and you can tell they were seasoned masonry tradesmen and new there stuff. We interviewed four contractors for this job and selected FR because Matt both listened carefully to us and also offered his own good ideas. They gave us a detailed and competitive estimate and we liked the idea that both owners of FR, Matt and Rich, would be onsite and doing a good part of the work themselves. As it turned out, they were simply excellent to work with at every stage of the process. FR is apparently a sought-after group and we waited about 4 months for them to start our project. During that time, Lindsay responded to our questions in a timely and friendly manner with detailed emails about what we should be doing in advance (e.g., selecting the tile, vanity, light fixtures etc.) and suggestions about which companies to check out in the area. Matt and Rich have assembled a group of skilled craftsmen who each are personable, hardworking and diligent. They arrived punctually at 9 am each day, worked steadily throughout the demolition, wiring, plumbing, drywalling, tiling, carpentry, painting and finishing touches. In the process, they took great care to protect our hallway tile, stairway and wood floors, kept things as tidy as possible, and cleaned up at the end of each day. As a result, we were able to stay in our house during the entire project. They completed the job in just over two weeks and it was impressive to watch how they coordinated the many different steps with a crew of 7. Matt oversaw the project, and also handled the plumbing, wiring, tiling, and more. He is particularly skilled at setting tile and did an artful job matching tile patterns on the floor and the tub surround. Rich built shelves in the bathroom and walk-in closet and they turned out beautifully with functional design and excellent craftsmanship. The team members were all easy to interact with and each showed great attention to detail and pride in their work. We've done a lot of house renovations (including 4 previous bathrooms) and it's clear to us that Falcon Renovations are at the top of their game. They do quality work, are as unintrusive as possible, listen carefully to your ideas and yet also have great suggestions, work well as a team and with other contractors, and clearly care about the quality of their work. We highly recommend them and plan to work with them again in the future on other projects.

We had many, many more issues other than tile with John Giordano...We hired John as the general…read morecontractor for our home renovation and was the worst decision ever made. Him and his team demo'd our old bathroom and glued tile to the shower walls that were chipped, broken and uneven which resulted in uneven, crooked grout lines and left us having to replace tile and grout again after we fired him from the project. When I asked his workers why they were putting chopped and cracked tile up that was uneven, they said "you were in a hurry for a shower, right?" The workers, Tone, Travis, Bruce and Anthony he had were less than skilled leaving unfastened molding and trim against the bottom of the wall, breaking brand new tile, creating bigger than needed holes in our ceiling for can lights, leaving live electrical wires dangling from the ceiling and scratched vinyl flooring that they just installed. Not sure if this was all due to their lack of experience or the weed they were smoking on the job that probably impaired their ability to do the work properly. John also never arrived to our house when he said he would. Said he would be here at 9am. Then texted at noon and said he'd be there by 3pm. When he finally did show up, he would work for a hour and then disappear. This happened almost every single day. And when he did show, he did subpar work, dropped our butcher block on the ground, cracked a brand new vanity sink, broke a coffee maker and much more. He does not know basic math either.. I had to keep ordering more tile and flooring as he was not able to properly give me the correct amount the first time. He is going to say he is going to do something and then not do it. The certified and licensed professionals we hired after John to FIX all the mistakes and complete the work in our house were shocked at the less than acceptable quality of his work and could not believe how much we paid him to basically do nothing but create more work and a bigger mess. We hired him because he was able to start right away and what a mistake that was. If you ever come across this person or his employees, RUN! The I only thing John Giordano is good at is over promising, underdelivering and cashing checks.

I've used Greater Rochester Home Improvements on many jobs in the past. Most recently on a total…read morerenovation of a rental apartment in our 125 yr old farmhouse. The place was completely gutted down to studs and John and his team transformed this space. They did everything from hanging and finishing drywall to installation of cabinets, sinks, showers, tile flooring in bathroom, and lvp flooring in other rooms. He was able to take down and move walls to enlarge the bathroom as before it was just too small. He opened up the door way to the living room to make it feel more spacious. He also added beautiful built in shelves for more storage in the bathroom. He was able to add a stackable washer and dryer to the corner of the kichen for our tenants. The end result is amazing and I have received many compliments on how beautful the place is. He was responsive and took on any extra additional work we needed and worked nights and weekends to get the job get done. I've also used John on a job at my home. Hlast year he painted my cabinets. What a fantastic job he did!

Robert and his people refinished several rooms of red oak hardwood flooring in our house back in…read more2013. Many sections had been stained by pets and plants over the years when it had been covered by carpet. I don't believe that the floors had been refinished since the house was built in the 1960s. They did a great job refinishing the floors and replacing the stained slats while matching the color and randomness of the wood. He kept his schedule, informed us of the options beforehand, and when problems arose (like old boards that didn't look bad until after the sealer was applied), he just made sure that they were fixed. We had gotten several estimates and his was the most reasonable. So this year when we decided to install new matching hardwood in a room that didn't have hardwood, we called him and he came within a couple days to give us an estimate. We didn't bother getting other estimates, we just had him put us on his schedule. He and his crew came and installed the floor and finished it, and made it all fit with the preexisting flooring. Some defects did show up in a couple slats and he just came back and fixed them without any trouble. He made it all look right. We had him come back a couple months later after we had picked out some tile for the hearth extension and he installed the tile as well. We had an entirely positive experience with Rob Petit and his team, and I am happy to recommend them.
