I have been using him nearly my entire life and I have always felt completely comfortable coming in for check ups. Even after not seeing him for a few years, he still knows what's going on with me and my family (My mother is also a patient of his.) He's made three retainers for me that have completely improved my teeth, and is honest and professional with his work. While going to the dentist isn't particularly something I enjoy doing, I am always put to ease with his warm welcome and friendliness.

My husband spoke and the women at the desk barely responded. They also failed to acknowledge my child, and did not ask why they were there or what type of appointment they were coming in for. My husband filled my son's name on a sign in sheet. One of the ladies highlighted his name in green, but did not explain a weight time, ask if paper was previously filled, or any of the normal walkthrough for a first appointment. What amplified this was that a man came in behind them and the women in the front not only spoke, but was kind and friendly. Assign insult to injury, a little girl was leaving her appointment and they went out their way to speak and hold a conversation with her and her parent. I understand the state of the country has some people operating out of bias, but it's unfortunate to see that in a professional space that is in a community. Even more that my child felt overlooked and unwelcome when he's treated kindly at his previous dental office. If you can't be kind and polite to everyone, you shouldn't be servicing them.

We've gone every 6 months for regular checkups, and she is hands down the sweetest, most patient, and most fun dentist we could ever hope for. Honestly, I wish she had an adult practice--I'd be first in line to be her patient! Thanks to her care, my kids have had very few dental issues, but if anything ever came up, there's no one I'd trust more than Dr. Jenna. Her newly expanded office is beautiful--spacious, spotless, and so welcoming. The staff is equally incredible. At our last visit, I told her the whole practice runs like a well-oiled machine, and it's true. From start to finish, everyone is friendly, professional, and attentive. I am continually impressed and grateful for the care my kids receive here. Highly recommend--10 out of 10!

After coming across the other review listed about Dr. Yang's office, I read it and felt compelled…read moreto share our experience. We've been a patient of Dr. Yang's (and her office) for over 10 years now - starting with our oldest child which just so happens to have special needs. From the very first appointment with her, to our most recent first time appointment with our youngest who turned 2 back in the Spring, we have never experienced anything like what was mentioned in the other review, more specifically it's been quite the opposite. Dr. Yang (who is amazing) and her staff that we have consistently seen since we've been going there have always been patient, calm and at any point whenever any of our children have had issues of possible tears from a first time appointment or having a loose tooth come out, they go above and beyond to turn the situation around and make sure the child is comfortable and not afraid. They often do funny or silly things like let the kids use the water tool to squirt water or say funny rhymes to keep the kids laughing and comfortable and to lighten the whole experience of going to a dentist which can be a bit scary, especially for first time patients who are often as young as 2. Maybe the hygienist mentioned was just temporary or it was an off day but I can attest our 4 kids going there and us never experiencing that in all the years we've be a patient of Dr. Yang's. I realize everyone can have a different experience or different circumstance, so that is why I felt it was important to share ours.

We visited Dr. Yang for my son's first dentist appointment when he was 2 and a second 6 months…read morelater. Dr. Yang was very nice and I liked her. The office was clean and the train table in the waiting room was a big hit with my son. I wasn't sure what to expect from a first dentist appointment, but I think I was anticipating a very laid back first appointment. It was not. While the hygienist was very thorough, she moved through the introduction of tools VERY quickly and then asked me to hold him down so she could delve right in within about 90 seconds. My son is not the type to be scared or cry at the doctor. He's had stitches in his face without a tear. But the speed of the exam was jarring to him and pretty soon he was crying. Rather than stopping the hygienist continued to speed through it and kept saying, "I like it when you cry, that helps me clean all the teeth in the very back too!" I found that an insensitive thing to say, but we gave them another shot since I did like Dr. Yang. After the second appointment when my son was older and more experienced I didn't anticipate any tears. When the same hygienist sped through the appointment and said, again, when he started crying, "I like it when you cry!" I realized this was not going to be a good fit. I appreciate that they are doing a thorough exam, but the experience felt more intense than it needed to be and I worry it's the kind of early dental experience that could cause a future fear of the dentist if we continued there. Today I took him to my dentist and they took their time with him AND completed a thorough exam and he didn't shed a tear and sat in the chair himself without being held down. I understand they have certain procedures and maybe speeding through checkups and holding kids down works for some kids, but not all children will react well to this. For my son it was just too much.

First I feel like I was misinformed regarding which option to choose for the extraction. Having laughing gas or nitros for your child is NOT equivalent to being "put to sleep". They will say you have an option but for an extraction there should really be NO option using Nitros. My daughter's experience was terrible! She screamed and seemed to feel everything. I was told it's because the tooth was not loose yet which is a bunch of BS. I am livid!!! The experience traumatized me as a spectator so I can't imagine what my 7 year old is feeling.

(We even go to her practice even though we have an excellent Pediatric dentist in our own family!) Doctor Accord has always taken time to build a relationship with our children and stresses the importance of oral hygiene in a fun and relaxed environment. It is obvious that she could take twice as many patients during the day but chooses not to to provide a higher standard of care. We have always had an exceptional experience with all of the staff at her practice. On top of that her place is beautifully done in the theme of the derby and Louisville! Looking at the other reviews makes me wonder about how absurd people are - if people can't keep track of their own appointments and get charged that is their own fault - it is clearly disclosed. If people don't realize that a doctor can run behind and there is the occasional wait then what kind of rushed care are they expecting? Dr. Accord recently spent additional time with a new member of our family carefully explaining to him all aspects of his dental care and reduced his stress about his visit. I'm sure this made her run a little behind, but I appreciate the standard of care and that we weren't rushed.
