I'm not sure why the bad reviews. This is my 3rd time staying here over the last two years. This…read morehotel is right on the lake, offers spectacular views and has the best free breakfast buffet of anywhere I've stayed in awhile. This location has been recently renovated but I didn't have any issues the last time I stayed last fall. There's a bar on site that stays open late, and plenty of places to dock your boats. The location is near several restaurants you could easily walk to, and a few miles down the road are even more choices. The beds are comfy and the pool always looks inviting, though I have yet to try it out. I always get a room with the lake view. There's a busy highway in front of the hotel but the noise doesn't bother me. The only downside might be the cost. But...factoring in the location and the delicious breakfast, I don't even think that's a deal breaker. I come here when I need a break from city life. It's perfect for relaxing and reading a good book in front of the beautiful lake. Don't take my word for it...try it out for yourself!

This place is TERRIBLE! First of all the hotel is located at a major intersection so there is LOUD…read moretraffic whizzing by all hours of the night. I had to pay $10 extra to get moved to a lakeside room just so I could get some peace the road noise was so bad. Second, the place is an old, rundown motel. This is not a hotel at all but rather an old motel style place with outdoor access. This was not mentioned anywhere in the listings. You get in the rooms and the walls are dingy, you can see every drywall seam and every spot where they did paint touchups. They have dirty linoleum floors and tiny bathrooms with low ceilings. The elevator was a joke as the button for the second floor has to be pushed 20 times to get it to register and make the elevator go. Online this place look so glowing and so nice, it's all a dirty lie. Don't waste your money here, go literally anywhere else.

This place was amazing! My wife and I rented the Love Shack glamping tent for the weekend to…read morecelebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The tent was very well laid out and pretty private. I did like the fact you can block off the sides of the back deck with curtains for more privacy. There are other amenities that you can take advantage of. Definitely worth doing, We plan on doing it again!

We visited here on a whim after coming across this property on social media. We booked the…read moretreehouse, which was the absolute cutest! We'd debated on the Tiny Cottage or TreeHouse and thankfully for 2 people, the TreeHouse was most appropriate for space. Check in was contactless and pretty easy based on the instructions provided by email. Golf carts and/or ATVs are provided for you to get around the property which was pretty cool. The TreeHouse was stored with most of your household basic needs. The only thing we needed inside that wasn't available was a cheese grater and colander for a recipe. However, we were able to improvise. There is a store on property which is accessible 24 hours. We were under the impression that the store carried eggs from seeing them on several TicTok videos, but that was not case during our stay. There were none in sight. Additionally, the store's payment kiosk was out of order so we were unable to purchase anything additional. This would've been nice to know at the time of booking. We ended up having to leave the property and head to the nearest Dollar General & Foodland for a few extras which was a short distance down the street. When returning from Foodland, we came across the manager who happened to be on the property. She was nice. The property's amenities were nice. We really enjoyed the main firepit and the people we met. Blankets were provided in a nearby bin. We didn't get to enjoy all of the amenities as the temps dropped significantly during our stay and a freeze warning was in affect. All in all, it was cozy, quiet and a peaceful retreat (except for the acorns hitting the top of the treehouse). It should be noted that the stairs are short and steep, getting to and from the bedroom (upstairs) and bathroom (downstairs). My friend slipped a little while going downstairs to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but she was fine and didn't hurt herself.
