They offer services that you can do on your own. I felt like I wasted my money using them. I used them for about 7 to 8 months. So it was very crucial for me to find someone I can trust to listen, communicate, be honest, not push but guide, and pull through with the work he is doing when handling my unusual complicated case. When dealing with financial institutions, I feel it is more common that the providers approach clients apathetically. However, this was not the case with Ger. I was pleasantly surprised to feel that I was working with someone that was genuine and cared about my situation, resolved issues in my best interest, communicated easily, and gave me options depending on the scenario. There were no surprises and I knew what to expect. I am so glad I was able to work with Ger, and I really would recommend him to anyone who I know needs this service.

For years, I proudly wore the "I got this" badge and did my own taxes--ever since college. Back…read morewhen my biggest financial decision was whether to splurge on guac, filing a basic W-2 with TurboTax felt like conquering Everest. Simple return? Done. Refund? Secured. Celebration? Taco Bell. Fast forward to adulthood: I now own a home, have a 401(k), an IRA, property-related paperwork that looks like a small novel, and about 47 different documents that arrive in the mail just to remind me I'm responsible. At some point, I realized my taxes had officially outgrown the "click next until refund" phase. Between rising bills and the government taking a generous slice of my hard-earned money, I decided I needed a professional--someone who actually knows the tax code beyond page one. Enter Jesus. This is my second year doing my taxes with him, and let me tell you--this guy doesn't just "prepare" your taxes. He performs a full forensic investigation. He dives deep. Solar panel tax credits? He's on it. Overtime adjustments? Covered. Medication deductions? Already calculated. Home improvement credits, retirement contributions, disbursements--you name it, he's checking, double-checking, and making sure you're not leaving a single dollar behind. What I really appreciate is that he explains everything clearly and responds quickly (which is rare during tax season when most professionals vanish into the Bermuda Triangle of paperwork). He's thorough, detail-oriented, and genuinely makes you feel like he's fighting to make sure you and your family get every tax break you're legally entitled to--especially after Uncle Sam has already helped himself. If your return is simple, sure, software might do the trick. But once you're dealing with property, 401(k)s, IRAs, credits, and the adult-level tax Olympics, you need someone who actually knows what they're doing. Highly recommend this place--and especially Jesus. Professional, responsive, and absolutely worth it. My stress level during tax season has dropped significantly... which might be the greatest deduction of all.

I had to educate myself on things I didn't know about, and it took a while to learn that that was okay. The Roundleaf team was always available to answer questions, and they were very good about following up/staying on top of processes. At that point I started to search for help. I came across their ad and decided to call and see if they can help me. I spoke to Kam and told him my Delma. I was lured into Kamran Shah's so-called "credit repair" services with big promises and flashy ads,…read morebut it turned into one of the most regrettable decisions I've ever made. Right from the start, something felt off--he demands payment through Venmo or PayPal, which are typically against the rules for this kind of business. I later found out he's not a lawyer, not certified in California, and definitely doesn't have a 100 100k surety bond. That alone should've been enough to make me run the other way. His whole operation comes across as a shady hustle: he pushes clients to file dubious disputes that might actually hurt your credit long-term. A few people I've talked to said those disputes backfired, leading to new flags on their credit reports and even deeper problems. I asked him to clarify how this was all legal or to show any credentials, but he evaded my questions and started acting defensive--almost threatening--when I pressed for details. It was unsettling, to say the least. By the time I realized what was happening, I'd already wasted money, time, and trust on a setup that felt more like a scam than any real credit help. It's bad enough to end up with worse credit than before, but the stress of dealing with someone who doesn't seem accountable for their actions is just as damaging. If anyone's considering Kamran Shah for credit repair, I strongly recommend looking for a licensed professional instead. Don't let his fast talk and flashy signs fool you--this nightmare can leave your finances in worse shape than when you started.
