The individual care they give to each child is fabulous. They take time to ensure each parent is well informed but more importantly that each child feels loved, safe, and important. Every learning experience, hard time, and activity reached children respect for themselves, others, and their environment. As a parent, there is nothing better in a preschool than when you know your child is excited to go to preschool and you feel confident that they are in nurturing, supportive care. Don't let street view of the home fool you - Brandy and Scott have taken great care in creating a wonderfully prepared environment with natural play spaces, animals, and a beautiful garden in the large backyard with a separate entrance to the side of the home. They have an application process to ensure it's a great match for all including a call and an in-person visit. They provide very detailed daily notes for each child every day sent same-day along with lots of photos, and a quick check in at pickup. They also create opportunities for the families to have several group events throughout the year. My daughter attended CNP for about 2.5 years beginning January 2019 and absolutely loved it! We knew this outdoor setting was the perfect fit for our outdoorsy girl. Scott and Brandy are amazing people! They are great teachers and friends. They try very hard to accommodate all the families they work with. The kids that attend CNP are also very special. This preschool is fantastic. It's all outdoors and the kids get to learn about nature, explore for bugs, and get a real appreciation for for the world around them. Scott & Brandy are great and I fully trusted them with my child. All the other families are nice too. This program encourages kids to do things by themselves before asking for help, which is great. My child has grown so much here and we are sad to say goodbye. The owners have great communication about what's going on and send daily reports and photos. Creative Nature is an excellent solution to breaking the mold of the typical preschool classroom. It's a beatiful outdoor environment that fosters all kinds of learning. My son attended this awesome school and learned so much. We found ourselves impressed daily with the kinds of things he would come home talking about. I truly believe that my kids are better humans for their time spent at CNP with Brandy and Scott. CNP is amazing. It is a play based, child led, 100% outdoor experience. Both of my children flourished there and one is an introvert and one an extrovert. My kids learned so much about caring for the environment- actions they could actually take, like picking up trash or shutting off the water while they're washing their hands. My son thrived on all the physical activities, from the swings, slides to balance bikes, while my daughter loved ALL of the animals she got to interact with from chickens, to bunnies, a cat, dog and a bearded dragon! She was taught how to handle and respect animals. She also wrote her name for the first time there! The families at CNP couldn't have been kinder. Each day we'd get a report about our child's day and they'd post SO many pictures through the Shutterfly app! I felt like I really had a sense of what my child did each day. Brandy and Scott are the best humans and my kids felt safe and loved each day at CNP. I really believe we are all better off for knowing Brandy and Scott, they had such a positive impact on all of us. Now that my kids have begun public school they are a noticed absence in our lives. read more

PROS/CONS of our experience from my 3 year old daughter attending CNP for almost one year. PROS -The school has a beautiful backyard that was amazingly put together and is a dream for any kiddo. -The nature school program is great and it was pretty cool to hear all the wonderful things my daughter was learning about the world around her. It clearly showed in her conversations with me that she was learning a lot and expanding the love she already had for the outdoors. -The house is kept meticulous and you feel you know your children are safe and loved. CONS -NO PARENT CONFERENCES. at no time were we ever offered a parent meeting or conference to talk over child performance before CNP terminated my daughter from their program. You are charged $1 per minute if early or late and they don't try to make time to tell you how your child is doing. Written communication is NOT the same as verbal. -LACK OF EMOTION FORTITUDE. My 3 year old daughter was having a very rough Monday after coming back from fall break and ended up hitting the teacher for her 3rd time over the course of a year. Unacceptable and it was addressed with discipline and consequences by us parents each time. During our most recent conversation during pickup time, the teacher mentioned to me how emotional the situation was for her and she went to her room to cry. I expressed that perhaps added emotions from an adult could escalate situations where as a firmer stance and ability to separate personal emotions would help. She did not like me sharing this concern and felt disrespected from my feedback. -UNPROFESSIONALISM AND DISREGARD FOR PARENTAL CONCERN. Each "conversation" I tried to have with teacher Brandy was pretty much a monologue on her part and she very clearly did not want to hear my concerns. Parents should always be made to feel very comfortable providing feedback to care takers and her body language, comments, and talking over me was so strange to me. Just 4 hours after going over possible solutions for my daughters difficult days and hearing my concerns I received an email stating my daughters last day would be the next day. JUST 24 HOURS NOTICE. Unbelievable and very much rooted from an emotional decision. If you want to be able to talk honestly with your child's caretaker, there are plenty of other great schools that encourage this. Example- My youngest daughters school will sometimes give you a free day for doing an online review of any kind. CNP will give you a free day ONLY if you do a review and they win Best School in Orangevale. They cannot handle constructive criticism, a very necessary part owning a business. After very quickly terminating our enrollment, they offered us a "courtesy" refund for only 2 of our 3 remaining weeks left of the month. They kept $180 dollars of our money and we felt very cheated. -LACK OF EXPERIENCE. CNP has been open for 2 years and it is clear they have not been through enough situations and are not prepared to deal with any meltdowns, hitting, bitting, kicking etc. If you think your child may go through any of these natural phases, this is not the school for you. The hitting was taken very personally and emotionally by the teachers instead of with strength and professionalism. They will encounter these issues, and they will need to be better prepared. So be aware that if your child does not fit in their program they could keep all your pre-paid monthly tuition no matter the date, although they terminated the enrollment. read more

My daughter absolutely loves going to playschool and in fact I have a challenge getting her to leave at pick up time lol. Brady is awesome and does a great job. You should feel confident leaving your kids with Brandy! She's fun and intelligent and really cares about your child learning and creating a love for nature. I have had my neice stay at Creative Nature Playschool and she had so much fun! She loves being outside now and is constantly looking for critters and flowers to show me. We have been so blessed to have had two of our kids in this program! We found Creative Nature Playschool after trying out another program that our son wasn't so comfortable in, and after meeting with Brandy and Scott, we fell in love with the atmosphere and the two of them. We love that the class size is smaller and provides more one-on-one attention for our kids, the outdoor play area is AMAZING and allows the kids to be KIDS- they run around playing with animals and in the garden- and they eat and are informed of healthy foods/choices. Brandy and Scott truly care about what they do and they've done an amazing job at making both the kids and parents feel that they're being taken care of, protected and valued. Wonderful preschool, I feel so blessed that my son was able to attend CNP. Brandy loves her job and it shows each day when she greets her students. My youngest daughter was lucky enough to get in to the CNP program and she had a wonderful experience. They offer a half day or full day programs and a rigorous daily routine that involves learning time, lots of play, healthy snacks and nap time (for full day attendees). They also provide a daily recap with photos for each day attended. Within the first two weeks of attending, my daughter was done with training pants (fully potty trained) and socializing well with the other kids. CNP has a gorgeous backyard with a variety of zones for lots of different types of exploratory play and learning. CNP is true to their name in being honestly "creative" with what activities the kids get to do. It was important to me that my daughter be encouraged to be outside and get dirty, and she did! In the winter they even put on rain jackets and boots and go stomp in the puddles. They also have a year-round vegetable garden and a variety of pets. I never had any problems with CNP. Brandy and Scott are a smart, motivated, energetic couple and I highly recommend CNP. read more

CNP was the first type of school/daycare that we took my daughter to. From day one Brandy surpassed every expectation and made us feel comfortable - which never faulted the entire year our daughter went there. I love the extra steps that Brandy takes to ensure you that your child is in good hands. For example, after rough drop offs we'd get an update of how she was doing and every time we got a photo of our happy little girl having totally forgotten about her melt down. At the end of every day I'd get a summary of her day with pictures that made me feel in the know and like I was included in her day and schedule while at work. CNP introduced us to a nature learning environment and to this day I see how it developed my little girl to be fascinated and inquisitive about the world around her, to learning up close how caterpillars turn into butterflies and watching that process in class, to playing outside rain or shine. My daughter also learned two extremely important lessons from Brandy - how to communicate with others and how to communicate her needs. My daughter now knows how to express herself and her boundaries (within reason for a toddler.) My daughter loved every single day she was at school with CNP and I wish we could've stayed with CNP forever. I highly recommend Creative Nature Playschool with Brandy. There's no other preschool I would recommend. My son was very shy when he started and he adjusted very well. He learned quite a bit to get him ready for TK and there was always a great mixture of activities that were educational and he loved being outisde learning about nature and animals. Im very happy with the teacher as she always made my son and myself feel very comfortable. She will also have a long lasting effect on my son: he still talks about it!! read more

Creative Nature Playschool has been absolutely amazing for my son! The outside play area is so fun and there are so many creative projects that the kids get to do.
