From the initial inquiry to the final gallery delivery, the entire experience was flawless. Sarah is the definition of a professional. Her contract was straightforward and easy to understand, and she was incredibly responsive and easy to get a hold of throughout the entire planning process. On the wedding day itself, she was prompt and even arrived early, which immediately put my mind at ease during the morning rush. I'll be the first to admit that I am not "good" at having my picture taken... I usually feel awkward and stiff in front of a camera and my self esteem isn't the highest. However, Sarah made me feel instantly comfortable and relaxed. She has such a gift for direction and used unique, creative poses that felt natural rather than forced. My guests and wedding party haven't stopped talking about how much they absolutely loved her energy; she truly felt like a part of the family while still staying incredibly focused on her craft. I specifically asked for a focus on candids, and Sarah delivered beyond my wildest dreams. She captured the raw emotion and "in-between" moments perfectly, and every single edit was breathtakingly beautiful. Her pricing is amazing for the high level of talent she provides, and to top it all off, she delivered our full gallery ahead of schedule! I had actually hired Sarah previously for a friend's maternity shoot, and after seeing her work there and now at my wedding, I am a customer for life. We are already in talks about my own maternity photos this coming spring! If you want amazing value, exceptional photo quality, and a photographer who makes the day stress free, hire Sarah. I had tears looking through my gallery and I cannot believe how beautiful I look and how well she captured my day. Especially the moments I wasn't able to see for myself. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

However, Sarah immediately made us feel comfortable, and the session flowed seamlessly. I'll definitely be booking all my future photos with her. I shared my ideas and inspiration with her, and she brought them to life perfectly. I was a bit self-conscious about my weight and asked her to capture flattering angles--and she did an amazing job! I genuinely love how the photos turned out. If I could give her 10 stars, I would! Sarah is incredibly sweet, talented, and easy to work with. I highly, highly recommend her. I couldn't imagine getting better photos anywhere else. Thank you so so so much!

In comes Melanie, who I happened to find by accident through a Yelp promo email. She had another shoot earlier in the day, but bc we were doing a later beach elopement ceremony and reception, she could do it! Signing the contract and working out all the details online and via email was easy. She sent me some paperwork to give her details and then we had a phone conversation to discuss and get to know one another. She posed us wonderfully and rolled with the punches when a few things didn't go as planned (it's a wedding, it's going to happen!). Absolutely professional. The photos we've been given so far as a preview are stunning and I can't wait to see the others. Everyone raved about how kind she was and how much they liked our photographer afterwards, and when we've sent a few photos, they've all been blown away. I feel lucky to have found Melanie, and her husband Chris, to shoot my day and would recommend her to anyone who asked me for any photos. If we need family portraits or special pics taken in the future, she's our girl!

Not only was he able to frame and shoot my digital photo to spec, he also checked the resolution of the photo with a test upload to the online portal to make sure the photo would be accepted. Sure enough, within a month I received my new US passport after submitting my online application with the photo he took. Bonus: he's also certified by Passport Canada as a preferred photographer due to their strict passport photo requirements (which do differ from the US specs), so when I renew that passport he'll be the go-to for that one too. Oh, and one other thing, he may be pricey for many folks (cost: $50) but at least you can be assured that he'll do what it takes to get it right the first time, which is something those drugstore photos can't promise.
