All the Dentist are excellent; however, Sydney has helped me with multiple dental problems and she somehow exceeds expectations every time! Misleading billing practices and poor communication…read more I had a very disappointing experience with Stone Dental Associates. I was quoted $400 at the time of service for a deep cleaning that I was told was necessary. I paid that amount in full before the appointment, assuming everything was settled. Weeks later, I received an unexpected $1,200 bill after my insurance determined the procedure wasn't necessary. I then had to request the office to dispute the charges, and after all of that, I still ended up being billed another $400 because they said one quadrant of my cleaning wasn't covered. At no point was it explained that the total cost could change so drastically or that I might be responsible for so much more after paying upfront. This experience felt misleading and frustrating, and I would caution anyone considering this office to make sure you get a clear, written estimate and confirmation of insurance coverage before agreeing to treatment.

I have seen several dentists here and all of them are pretty straight to the point, kind, but matter of fact. There is no messing around. I have had two crowns done and 3 filling now and my time here has been quick.. relatively painless, and at good pricing. The offices are well maintained and they do their best to make you as comfortable as possible. I'm not a fan of the dentists.. but I am of town dentistry.

I walked in and was immediately greeted and given a tour of the office. Then I was taken to a consultation room and given a welcome letter and a gift bag, all before I had even seen a dentist. He's gentle (no pain!) and friendly, and plays awesome music - rock, blues, country - instead of the mindless New Age crap you often hear. On the last two visits, I've heard Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, and Bruce Hornsby. (He plays entire albums.) Second and third are Nancy Green and Lori Miller, dental hygienists extraordinaire. I was hesitant to purchase the groupon as it didn't seem like the traditional way of sourcing a cleaning. Upon arrival every staff member was professional, courteous and attentive. The cleaning went great and the hygienist answered all of my many questions. The office was clean. After getting teeth cleaned and convinced to get unnecessary x-rays, then asked to get further consultstion from a visiting periodontist, for a large fee, a bite guard was recommended. We were assured the high and full cost would be covered by insurance and anything over would be discounted, so any out of pocket cost would be zero. A month later we started getting harassing calls from some rude lady at John's Creek Dental Excellence for $75, she claimed was still owed for the non-discounted price. She said that the $75 amount would be sent to collections. I explained the price agreement promised at time of service. She didn't care, and we never received a statement itemizing their claim. So, after spending hundreds of dollars this rude dental office would rather send $75 to collections instead of keeping a family for future dental care. Pretty pathetic. They lost all future care from us, obviously. The owners here are poor examples of what it means to care for a patient. I'd certainly not trust their clinical skills. We won't ever return and will warn our friends and family about the unprofessionalism and lack of care we experienced. Just goes to show that the name of a business on the building doesn't always reflect the integrity of the owners inside.
