I used to be a fan of Creative Circle, however this past year with them has proven to be miserable. I had expressed to about 4 different recruiters I was NOT looking for a freelance position, yet all they did was call me for those and never actually bothered to read my candidate profile. Then a recruiter had submitted me for several positions that did somewhat match my profile yet she had ghosted on me for literallt every single one. No answers to emails, phone calls, nothing. Listen, if you're going to help people find a job in an already stressful job market, at least be open to communication! read more

My experience with Creative Circle was unique as compared to any other recruitment agency I've worked with in the past. They were thorough, professional, but also welcoming and encouraging. I was lucky in that I was placed within a couple of months of signing up with them - and at a fantastic job - but even if I wasn't, they literally did everything they could do get my resume to a variety of employers, as well as bringing opportunities to me. This is NOT a passive agency - it's work, which is what job-searching should be. Danny, in particular, is great about updating you throughout the process, even when things are slow - just so that you know where you stand. It's so much more helpful and reassuring as opposed to the process where you apply someplace and never hear back. I would highly recommend working with them and trusting the process - IF you're the right prospect. They specialize in a specific field and evaluate their candidates thoroughly so don't expect a magic bullet. That said, I did hear of one person who was actively being mentored by Danny on a bi-weekly basis to help get him to a place where they could pitch him out. This place is NOT about the bottom-line, they're aggressive on your behalf, and outstanding at what they do. If I ever need an agency like this again, I'll be heading back for sure! read more

In October 2015, Creative Circle tried placing me for a job but couldn't because they accidentally input my SSN in a field marked Passport. It was supposed to be a quick fix: call the Department of Homeland security, inform them Creative Circle had messed up (I never even gave them my Passport info), contest the form, and have them resubmit my information sans errors. Why *I* had to go through the hassle of correcting their mistakes was already annoying, but there's more... It's now July 2016. Creative Circle contacted me about a job but ran into errors again because they NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM. We're currently working on fixing it now. I kind of feel bad because the person who messed up isn't the one fixing it; it's a different employee cleaning up the other ones mess. Other problems: I was emailing one CC employee about coming in (as per her request) and when I got there, I was told she had stepped out. She had JUST told me to come by, knew I was coming, and left? Not cool. EDIT: They were able to finally get me into their system without me having to do anything. It seems like if it were that easy, they should have been able to do it back in October, but at least if I want to use them now I can. read more

they call you at 8am with false job leads and never land you an interview. No follow ups.

I applied for the Creative Circle newsletter to receive updates on available jobs. Upon applying for a position, I called the office to inquire about being represented by someone at the company. I was immediately interrupted and given feedback on everything that did not fit their needs. Not once was I provided with options on how to work on my experience, nor was my original inquiry answered. I was interested in working with a representative directly to help me find a new position- not calling about the position I applied for. I've worked at recruiting agencies in the past and, whether or not this is their intention, Creative Circle is giving the perception that they are worried about the bottom line. They are more concerned with their retainer and client and will ONLY accept you if you fit their needs. I know someone who had a great experience with them given she was a perfect match for what their client was looking for (this is why I didn't give them 1 star). If you're looking for a company to work WITH you and the client, then do not go with Creative Circle. Otherwise, they're very professional. I wish they had at least given me the opportunity to meet with someone to discuss options, not immediately shut me down over one position. read more

I signed up with the location in New York a month before graduation. They were able to put me in contact with many different companies and interviews. Although I did was not hired through one of their connections, it was a great learning experience. read more

Creative Circle helped place me at an amazing job that aligned perfectly with my skill set and career goals that were discussed with the recruiter. She reached out when an opportunity arose and was communicative and up-front throughout the entire process. It never took more than 3 hours to hear back from my recruiter when I emailed or left a message. In addition to the personal experience with the recruiter, I enjoyed the email notifications. They provided relevant information that allowed me to quickly determine if an available position was one that I would be interested in as well as a quick way to apply. 10 out of 10 would use again and would recommend. read more

I signed up for their newsletters to get job updates, which is nice and all. However, I never got anywhere with this agency. First off, when it comes to their "news letter" they just sent me random things whether or not I was qualified for them, even though I added my resume to their files. Also, I called their business and tried to schedule a "in person" interview with anyone so they will know what I'm looking for. I was desperate at the time and willing to negotiate with an actual person. Not only was I confronted with an aggressive attitude from the receptionist, but basically I got shut down and they told me that they will interview me only if a job fits me. Shouldn't they get to know me as a candidate before that so they can better represent me? What an awful, unhelpful company! read more
