Stay away. If you want a positive caring friendly environment for your child this is not the place. Unless your child comes from an affluent family is a girl is quiet and doesn't express themselves , you need to search out a different place. The experience my child had here was so negative I could never positively recommend this place to any child. I wouldn't recommend this daycare center to my worst enemy. To start off, I moved my son from a small home daycare who was more of a babysitter to Creative Child so he could become more familiar with a structured environment, do more activities, etc. From the start the center seemed good, although expensive. We met his teacher Melissa who didn't come across as the most pleasant person in the world, first impression wasn't great, but I brushed that off to maybe she isn't a morning person. 4-5 weeks into my son's part time care at the center, a notebook was placed in his cubby with no context as to what would be in the notebook. My husband thought this was going to be a report of how my son's days are going as a new student and was excited to read it. We were very wrong. The first entry in this book explained all of the "weird" behaviors my son has, and the demeanor it was written in seemed more annoyed than concerned. They wrote "he makes sounds that make no sense" and told me he couldn't wash his hands or throw away trash like the other children. Keep in mind - my son wasn't really taught how to do those things at the other daycare or at home yet. This was all new to him. As a mother of a two-year-old boy who's never been in a daycare environment such as this one, I was immediately upset and confronted his teacher Melissa who said to me "these are autism behaviors." In my personal experience, having worked in daycare over 10 years myself, I would have never said that to a parent - my son is too young to come to any kind of conclusion such as autism, and certainly a daycare teacher does not have the proper authority to diagnose such a thing. The way this notebook was presented was completely wrong. The lack of communication at this center is truly disappointing. No one at this center communicates to you unless it's written in a book, and if you forget that book at home they threaten disciplinary action. (I have emails to prove this if anyone is interested). Fast forward to recently: I am aware my son has a speech delay - he is in EI and has only had three speech therapy appointments thus far. He improves and says more words daily, however, as he is a speech delayed child, he often gets frustrated when he cannot get his words out and will slap himself as a way to get his frustration out and get attention. He doesn't slap hard, but when he does this he is easily de-escalated if one gets down to his level, asks if he needs help and shows him how to do nice hands. This is not how the daycare handles my son when he gets frustrated. Instead they ignore him, or yell at him, and the behavior increases because my son is not getting the attention he so obviously is looking for. They do not have any patience for a child who isn't able to fully communicate and they don't follow EI's instructions on how to get him to make choices, etc. Now this is concerning behavior, sure - however my son is a well-mannered child, he is not a danger to anyone nor himself, and he is easily redirected if the time is taken to do so. Creative Child asked us to come in for a meeting about "transitioning into pre-k" which really was a meeting about them kicking our son out. They said "unless a magic wand is swung and he improves, we do not have the time to give him the attention he needs." I pay almost $1,000 a month for my son to attend a school who doesn't have time to give him a couple moments of attention when he needs it? Usually my son is very happy to go to daycare in the morning. He never cries when I bring him to his classroom until the last week where he has cried at the door and refused to walk inside every morning. It's a telling sign that he isn't being treated the way he should be, and he is scared. One Friday, before all of this came up about them expelling my son, I had to pick him up because he was sick - I walked in his classroom while his teacher was yelling at him to sit down. I brushed this off and I'm realizing now I shouldn't have. My once happy to be at daycare every day child has become scared to even walk into his classroom. There's obvious mistreatment and possible physical abuse at this center. This is a disgusting excuse for a daycare. I truly hope no one else is treated the way they have treated us. UPDATE: Weeks after my child is still scared to even drive in the direction of this daycare. He cries, and says "no no no mommy". read more

No, I do not recommend this daycare. It is poorly structured and the children suffer from lack of management. On occasions when I picked up my son the staff was screaming at the children. My 5 year old son did not look forward to going. I removed him from the daycare immediately. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place for any child. They do not care about your child if your child has been out for more than a week they don't care how they are they just want their paycheck! this place is a joke they have absolutely 0 business skills, have no clue what they're doing and make up their own policies and procedures when everything is clearly written on a piece of paper, they're so lucky they haven't been sued yet. I Highly recommend you look for a place that is more sincere and actually cares about your child and how they learn and how they are understanding everything instead of worrying about the money when she has a business across the street making more money for her as well, clearly education is not a business that she should have any business running! My oldest went here for 7 years and loved every minute of it. He started at 3 and they helped him with his speech and everything. Now my youngest has gone since he was 4 months old, and they have been wonderful to him. I've gotten many pictures over the past few years of him being a happy goofy child that he is. They keep the kids busy and they have them learning so much. Miss Savana has been great teaching my youngest his letters, numbers, and so much more. They have great activities for the kids everyday and the staff loves what they do. You can tell they have a great relationship with each child (as if they were their own). I can't say enough about the staff and the buildings. The buildings are always super clean and the playground is kept in great shape too! I highly recommend sending a child here! read more

Don't be fooled by the nice facade. The owner and office manager do not have a clue. They often make up policies and procedures with no relevance or purpose. With no warning, or formal documentation, they invoked a $25 penalty for any day your child does not need care after you have already prepaid the week in advance! So, they want more money NOT to watch my child? How about when they decided to remove my child early from thier school because of a POTENTIAL snow storm to bring them to thier facility which is closing early because the lights were flickering? When asked to explain the logic behind these types of decisions, the office manager and owner could not provide any adequate answers. Extremely disturbed and disappointed with Creative Child's fundamentals and protocol. My child was repeatedly bullied and harassed by other children often and every time I expressed my concern I was promised a different solution or result that ultimately was a blatant lie. Some children were teaching other kids vulgar language and talk, or inappropriate actions and words. When my child was told to tell a teacher (by myself and the staff when I expressed my concerns) the teacher told my child that other kids can play "whatever they want" when my child was trying to tell an adult that there was inappropriate behaviors taking place. Mysteriously he does not work there any longer. This being said they continued to treat my son poorly and mock him. I requested video footage which showed multiple teachers on their phones while my son was being harassed. This all happened on the older side. The younger side with teachers Ashley and Savannah never mistreated my son and greeted him with loving arms. Everything began to get worse. And they began not showing video footage of claims they were making. They began lying on incident reports. (During all of this I was actively looking for a childcare center to switch to). Accusing my child of doing things that he didn't even know what it was. My son was coming home in tears because of the harassment and inappropriate behaviors from other students. I was told they'd be separated for the time being only to find out that when I picked him up or saw in pictures this was also a lie. They only care about selective children, not all, possibly not yours. Since my experience I have heard other parents claim to have similar experiences including a family friend of mine that actually worked there and saw a lot of what I have. Due to the fact I wanted to see video footage prior to signing that my child did something I know he did not, (obviously not going to admit he did something that he doesn't even know how to do) they claimed they were not allowing him any further. I believe whole heartedly the teachers and the two/three women including Joyce and Jess were aware of the poor treatment of my son, and were purposely allowing it. Having worked in daycares and having family that ran them we have seen this before where some centers find it acceptable to try and get certain children they "don't like" booted out. Any time my son did something wrong he told me. But what people do not realize, clearly, is my son tells me the whole story along with why he cried, got upset or angry. And every time he said his side of the story it matched up with the video footage that they DID show me. And any time he had a write up he was clearly distraught and upset and would tell me the ways the teachers would take his stuffed animal for nap away and mock him with it or scream at him. When I have been there in the morning I heard one of the teachers mrs adreth call over to the office "freaking out because this is ridiculous and I can't do this." If you can't handle watching children or you can't be a fun and inviting person to children then you should not be in this field. Children don't learn by being screamed at or constantly mimicked or picked at. There is so many things wrong with this center and it's a lame excuse for a child care provider. They only care about themselves and the payment. I really hope they learn a lesson and treat other people's children with more dignity than they did to mine. They are not dogs, they are not dumb and they have feelings and deserve RESPECT. I have yet to see Joyce or adreth smile. What kind of center acts this way? Dcyf was informed as well as the police the behaviors my child was subjected to, and I hope they find what is really going on. On a side note there was another issue where my son did not know how to write his name to trace it. He was much younger and new to the older side. The teacher wrote that he "was refusing to write his name and they had to grab his hand" and moved his behavior color down. First issue is nobody should be physically forcing a child by grabbing their hand. This is unacceptable. Secondly, He came home crying and said he had tried to be really good all day and simply didn't know how and needed help and they moved his colors down. I sat him at the table and showed him how to do it and he began tracing his name without an issue and felt better. Never again. I wouldn't recommend them to watch my pet goldfish. My children have been going to Creative Child and Club Creative for 3 years now and they love it! The teachers are all so knowledgeable and kind. They really treat the kids like family members. If I could rate this below zero I would!!! The management does not care about the children AT ALL! STAY AWAY! My 2 year old daughter went to creative child and her teachers were great. Story 1: during the summer both my children 2&4 went there. I work manual labor and am a single father of two and one day needed to drop my kids off early and had to pick them up at 5:15 and I received an email questioning my parenting abilities for leaving my kids there for longer than 10 hours. Story 2: I decided that my son might be able to go to club creative instead of his private school to make drop off and pick ups easier. Scheduled a day for him to visit and see if he liked it. When we got there the teacher didn't know we were coming apparently and didn't even introduce herself after i greeted her "this is my son _____", she didn't reply simply said he can put his stuff over there. When I told management that this wasn't the start that I would have expected, I was yelled at and told I was "not picking". I called to talk to the owner and she told me my children needed to be picked up that they were no longer allowed to attend the school" . My sons things were packed into bags and he was made to stand at the door and wait for me to pick him up, which was at least 10-15min. Why couldn't he continue to play until I got there? Why was he made and outcast? He did nothing wrong! It was cruel and showed a lack of compassion and is sickening. read more

Please note one of the reviewers above is an employee of this place. They have some great teachers, but the ownership makes poor decisions and is very unprofessional when communicating with parents. One summer when they didn't have enough space they brought kids to the bar next door because they didn't have enough class space. I am disappointed to say that my experience with Creative Child was horrible and I have pulled my daughter from their school. When I first enrolled my child I was blown away by the looks of the facility and the woman in the office made me feel like I was choosing a school for my 2 1/2 year old that would keep her safe and make me feel at ease. I enrolled her in December and by February I was starting to see things here and there that would make me feel uneasy. For starters the staff never lasted. I would come in to pick up my daughter and be greeted by teachers that I had never seen before. After a few weeks then it would be someone else and created a lot of inconsistencies in the structure of the classroom. At one point I even had one of the teachers assistants not know who my daughter was and she was working in that classroom! As if that wasn't uneasy enough the head teacher for her classroom was never around for me to speak with. The few times she was she was not only distant but rude in her tone and seemed very uninterested in her work. The communication between them and myself was non existent. The feelings I had about this teacher were not just me but my daughter never wanted to be dropped off there. when we would pull into the parking lot she would start crying and always say that she didn't like her teacher. As I started looking around for a new school the head teacher got switched to a different classroom and a new teacher came into my daughters room. Everything was different when that happened and suddenly my daughter was thriving at school. The communication improved because this teacher actually engaged in conversation but she only lasted for the summer and then one day she was no longer employed there. No letter to inform parents of any changes just tape over her name on the door and the old teacher came back. At this point my daughter started acting anxious again about school. She would say things like her teacher is mean and pushes her head down at nap time. The incident that caused me to pull her from this facility was when I came to pick my daughter up and she had a very large welt and open cut on her forehead. I got all the way to my car before I saw it because my daughters hair was in front of her face, when i pushed it away i noticed the cut and went back inside to ask the aide when this had happened. she acted surprised and said that she did not see it at all and it must have just happened. Mind you, this cut was scabbed and the blood was dry there was dirt and sweat in it as well and you could tell without any medical degree that this had been there for quite some time. Frustrated I flat out stated that it looked like it had been there for a while and the teachers aide then pulled out her cellphone and said that she would call the head teacher. It was not even a thirty second phone call which made me question if she had even called anyone before she put her phone back in her pocket and said that the head teacher did not see it so it must have just happened. I again said that it looked old and she gave me a long explanation about their procedures for injuries and that if it had happened earlier they would have filed an incident report. At this point she then brought me into a different classroom and handed me an ice pack. No concern for my child was ever shown, no sympathy towards how I might be feeling. The only thing the teachers aide said to me was to make sure I return the ice pack next time I come in. After this mess I contacted to school and asked to have a meeting with my child's teacher. The woman in the office assured me that she would meet me at the door of the school and be apart of the meeting with me. When I showed up for my scheduled meeting this office woman was no where to be found. I went into my daughters classroom and it was empty as the children were all outside playing. I had to hunt down an assistant and ask to have her help me find my daughters teacher for this meeting. The aide came back saying that the teacher had no idea we had one scheduled but she would be right in to her classroom. So I waited for about 15 minutes before she came in and when she did I basically had a conversation with myself. I expressed my concerns about the injury, my frustrations with communication and her response every time I spoke was the same "You have that right". I wanted to have a productive conversation with my child's teacher and it was not possible. I got no feedback, I got no empathy or even apology! At that point I ended the meeting and pulled her from the school. She would finish out the week there and then be done. When I came to drop her off the next day they already had her cubby emptied, and her name was missing from her hook. I am and always will be disgusted with this school. Now that it has been some time since my daughter was been there she says things to me about how her head teacher would yell and push their heads down at naptime and she is still scared of her! read more
