This is the absolute worst tax preparer I have ever encountered in my entire life. Not only did…read morethey miscalculate my father's state taxes owed by $3,000; the later corrected state $3,000 refund by the State of Alabama was unduly then taxable at the the federal marginal tax rate (undeserved double taxation burden on my father for their mistake) the following tax year. Plus, I specifically asked that that the owner (only CPA in the mix) review and sign my father's return. She did so, but she intentionally did not include her CPA designation which was my sole reason for the request. I now understand why. What an embarrassment to her profession. Went online they said yep, you qualify for a 500.00 loan on your refund, in urgent need of the…read morerefund went and filed them, charged over 380.00 to file them, gave us a bank card, the bank replied thank you for your interest in their bank but it is denied. So we call Hewitt tax services back and they said the IRS are not even taking tax returns until January 29, 2018. So on a repeat call, they said they preapproved online, not at the preparation location. They were asked how can you false advertise??? They said sorry for the inconvenience but they can give a 50.00 Walmart gift card. The bank also replies they can give you an answer of why you were denied in 30 days. And Hewitt says your taxes has been processed, check with the IRS next week. Numerous people have replied the same of this scam and should join in a class action lawsuit!!!!!
