Ladies: There are good lady-doctors. Even great lady-doctors. But on the gynecological yardstick of glory, Doctor Sara Matthews is at the pinnacle. The climax, if you will. First, she's hilarious. (I mean, I guess you'd have to be to stare at hoo-hahs all day and still kiss your loved ones at night, right?) She's completely down to Earth and makes an effort to actually get to know her patients. Yes, she puts a face with a va-jay-jay, which is more than I can say for most. (That goes for men as well as doctors.) An unwavering professional, she was willing to listen to my boy dilemmas and reassure me that although long-distance relationships are both admirable and romantic, as well as a gynecologist's dream, that waiting for months at a time was just too damn long for, umm, needs. She than swiftly whipped up a prescription, you know, just in case. And for the, uh, headaches ... I couldn't be happier spreading the good word!

Does she have a crap ton of letters behind her name? Yes, she does. That's a good thing; it means she knows her stuff. She's definitely not your typical, buttoned-up doctor type. The day I saw her, she was wearing a fairly provocatively cut lime green dress and super high, hot pink heels. I loved her immediately. She's the most knowledgeable, tall, leggy blonde I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Like I said before, she really does know her stuff. She can answer any and all of your questions about any and all things lady-part related. Sara also gives great referrals for people like me, who have no knowledge of the private doctor system. She gave me an excellent dermatologist rec. She also has a great assistant, Jill, who is super fast with the prescription refill requests and really good with the insurance paperwork. This crack team is the best!

Surgery hours have recently been extended so that working patients are more likely to be able to get appointments. They have also recently changed their booking system, allowing patients to book appointments up to two weeks in advance, as previously they only had an on-the-day booking system. The staff I have come across have been friendly and helpful, and the surgery is easily accessible. Overall, I would give this place a thumbs up, which for an NHS joint is pretty impressive.
