I have two tanks that I constantly swap out between dessert flavors and fruity ones. Finding juice that I enjoy is a hassle. I've tried many different kinds over the years and I have 7 or 8 bottles constantly being rotated, but I'm always on the lookout for new ones, especially if a shop mixes them in house (shoutout to Wise Vice real quick). Lone Star is not close by: I live on the north side, so it's a 30 minute haul to get there. Normally I wouldn't bother, but when I saw online their list of flavors they make (including such flavors as Mountain Dew, Root Beer, and even Pizza), I figured I'd give it a shot. When I walked in, the store was completely dead, only one employee in the front. She was super attentive and I wish I had gotten her name, but she greeted me as soon as I walked in. I explained I found the shop online and was interested in their variety. She then proceeded to point out their menu of juices and told me to pick out two of them and she would give me two of their small 10 mL bottles as free samples so I could try. I asked her recommendation and she mixes me up Health Potion and Creamy Cupcake. I walked back outside and sat in the truck before I cracked one open to smell and let me tell you, the creamy cupcake smelled exactly like a can of frosting. I immediately walked back in and asked her if I could buy three more bottles to have a wide variety before I came back: Mountain Dew, Root Beer, and Lemon Bar. Now at this time, one of the other employees (I assume) walked in on her day off and was mixing up her own concoction, so I waited while she was rung up, and when she left, I was informed that she paid for two of my bottles, which nearly made me cry because I was honestly having a bad day and that was my first experience of someone "paying it forward". Then, when I tried to pay for the last bottle, I signed up for their reward program (for free I might add) and because I was a first timer, I got the last bottle free as well. 5. Free. Bottles. I didn't even care how they tasted at that point, the service and vibes were easily worth a five star review. I got home and over the course of the next day, I tried 4 of the 5 bottles. Mountain Dew is great, citrusy but pretty sweet. Lemon Bar was my favorite of the ones I tried. Root Beer reminded me more of root beer flavored gummy candies, it wasn't bad but not for me. Health Potion was decidedly average in my opinion, tasted almost like red life savers, not a fan, but the juice was spot on. I wish it was a little closer, but even as it is, I'm already preparing to make a pick up order for the next time I'm close by to pick up that pizza flavored one. I'm sure it will be a harrowing ordeal, but I gotta do it. If you're looking for great service, great variety, and honestly just a good experience, you can't go wrong here.
