Fun store. My sister and I generally make at least one Excursion down to visit both of the Crazy Franks locations every year. We usually leave with a couple of goodies. We are very into kitschy, but every once in awhile there are a couple of good surprises.
I personally prefer the Crazy Franks by the hotel, but they both have a variety of great stuff.
Pros:
- lots of unique items.
- sometimes you can find some pretty amazing deals
- there's a little something for everybody and the selection is huge
- two locations... So if you don't have luck at one you can head to the other
- bathrooms are clean
Cons:
- you know what they say about one man's trash, well... there's just as much trash as there is treasure
- there is a lot of stuff and it can be almost overwhelming. Not to mention the fact that some of the aisles are very narrow and less than shopper friendly
- location isn't stellar. It's the kind of place that you stop at along the way.
- I don't know what it is... but every time I come to Crazy Franks I encounter at least one really rude person. There is genuinely at least one rude customer or a rude staff member EVERY TIME. In their defense, it is usually a rude customer. Quite frankly, there really isn't anything of that great of value that anybody should be pushing and shoving or saying rude things. I don't know if it's the area. I don't know if it's the traveling or if antiques just bring out the worst in people... But there's almost always one person who needs a snack and a nap in that place. read more
