We travel to England quite a bit to visit family. One of my favorite dishes there is seafood pie. Think Shepherd's Pie but with seafood. In the UK it's super simple to prepare, as the local butcher sells premade mixes portioned out for the pies. I simply have to have those here in the US too so what did I do? I ordered salmon, shrimp, and cod and made my own mixes. Took some time removing skin and shells, cutting everything up and portioning the mix into small freezer bags but now we have a taste of the UK right here at home! I'll add pics the next time we cook some of their delicious offerings!

We've probably been to the restaurant at least 40-45 times. Never, and I mean never, did we have a bad meal or experience. In fact, I personally enjoyed at least 25 or so different meals, not including appetizers. I'm from Massachusetts so when I discovered Ridge I had to try them. Absolutely phenomenal menu choices that bring amazing taste and quality to your table. My recommendations...where to start? Blackened Mahi or Salmon, Potato Crusted Grouper, Grilled Orange BbQ Mahi Mahi, Shrimp or Scallop Risotto, anything fried but the shrimp, oyster, and flounder really set the bar high. Sorry Drew and Brad for my delayed review. And give my praise to your amazing friendly and attentive staff. Craig

We are…read morealways looking for a spot with raw oysters and this one is about a 20 min drive from our house so we decided to give it a go. Boy am I glad we did. We got to the restaurant around 4 when they opened and decided to sit at the bar. They are located in a strip mall which can be hard to find but just look for RIDGE in big block letters. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful when it came to selecting menu items (the menu is on a chalk board behind the bar). We told her we had never been in and she made sure to make our dinner special. We started with the mussels and oysters and I knew after those two dishes we would absolutely be back again and again. The broth the mussels are cooked in was divine and I loved that they gave us bread and butter on the side to go with it. The oysters had a hollandaise sauce which really brought the baked oysters with spinach, onion, and bacon together. For our entrees my husband got scallops in a Cajun cream sauce with grit cakes which was phenomenal and I got the sesame crusted flounder with collards and grits. The fish was so plump and juicy and I loved the hot sauce on the table to go with it. The collards were nice and vinegary like I like them and the grits were creamy. For dessert we decided on the banana bread pudding and it was an absolute show stopper. So much so it's going down as a best dish of 2026 for me. In all our experience was fantastic and I can't wait to return to try more of their menu!

I came here for the first time for lunch. I never went to it before when it was a poke-only place,…read moreso I was interested to try the new place out. They had more on the menu than I expected, from smash burgers, to buttermilk fried chicken to, obviously, poke bowls. I built my own bowl, and was very happy with the result. Everything tasted fresh and very flavorful. My only small gripe was that I could tell the pineapple was not fresh and obviously canned. The jalapenos were fresh sliced and added a bit of heat, which is perfect. I feel like this is one of those places I could come back multiple times and get different combinations of things in the menu.

The only thing missing was some bread. There are 2 nice size center cut pork chops and they were tender and seasoned to perfection. He just knocked my favorite place out of their spot as the best fried pork chop in Winston. The mac and cheese looks old school but did taste like it may have a hint of sour cream. I personally prefer it without. It was still good but not my preference. The fried okra is seasoned and cooked well and I appreciated them being packaged separately. My OCD was in heaven. The shrimp are well seasoned and the fries appear to be beer battered fries. The pork belly was surprisingly crispy and the shrimp was surprisingly giant. Both were seasoned very well. Only negative thing I can say about the experience is that we came here for our anniversary and it's strange that they didn't really do anything to celebrate it outside of just saying happy anniversary.
