We had a very disappointing experience at this seafood restaurant in Somerville. The crawfish we…read morewere served were clearly not fresh. they smelled terrible, tasted rotten, and were completely inedible. When we brought it to the staff's attention, we expected the issue to be handled appropriately, but instead we were only refunded half of what we paid for food that should never have been served in the first place. Serving spoiled seafood is a serious issue and can make people sick. and the lack of full accountability made the experience even worse. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. If you are looking for good crawfish do not go here. My daughters food was good and so was my father in laws Though.

I was trying to pass time to avoid traffic into Houston so I decided to stop in Caldwell to do some boutique shopping. Caldwell has some awesome boutiques FYI!. I was looking for a late lunch/early dinner and decided I wanted some steak. Now this place is by no means fancy but it's definitely hometown feel and obviously a small town staple. I ordered the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Yall 12oz for $26 dollars is an absolute steal. I was worried about the quality due to the price but I was impressed! The meat was good the mashed potatoes tasted sweet though so not a fan of those. But for $26 I wasn't even complaining. Now back to these fried pickle, I text everyone I know "I just found the best fried pickles in Texas" as I scarfed them down. If you are ever passing through you must stop to grab a basket of them. All of this and my total was around $35! The service was efficient and friendly 10/10 recommend!

It ordered the Seafood Platter and my wife had their Fried Shrimp. When the food finally came out (it was very slow) the shrimp were so overcooked that the tails were permanently affixed and I could not cut them with my fork. The server disappeared until she showed up with the bill. Both plates were untouched so she asked if we wanted doggy bags. I told her that I would not feed that to my dog, which she ignored and walked off with my credit card (I suppose I was secretly hoping she would notice that we hadn't eaten an offer some consolation). She didn't. After she returned with my credit card, I finally got the manager's attention and showed him what they had served. He apologized and went back with my CC and credited my account. As I said, they eventually did the right thing, but the entire ordeal was unnecessarily painful.
