Not a bad music shop, but, I can;t agree that the staff are always helpful.
On one occasion I tried out an amplifier and decided I didn't like as much as I'd thought I would and the salesman tried hard sell tactics trying to tell me that they'd done me a massive favour in bringing an amp to swansea in order for me to try it out.
On another occasion I wanted to buy a mandolin but it was not intonated proplerly and there were fret buzz issues with it, I was told that these things would be sorted out on the basis of whenever someone got around to doing it, after some prodding, they then proceeded to attack it with a pair of pliars in such a way that I wouldn't have wished to purchase it afterwards anyway. I would have thought as I was there with cash ready to purchase it that they may have made more of an effort, or that maybe they would spend some time preparing the instruments that are apparently ready for sale, maybe they didn't want to sell it at all.
On another occasion I purchased a guitar on the basis that they would give me a discount on strings the next time I visited, when I went back in the following week, the same saleman I had bought the guitar from said he didn't remember agreeing to this and I had to wait around for 30 minutes before they agreed to honour the deal.
It's not a bad store and the staff are generally helpful, but beware of showing that you know what your talking about, they don't seem to like that and don;t expect them to remeber any deals they offer you. read more
