The same nice guy M.O. as most of these negative reviews…read more We had a squeaky and struggling garage door issue. The tech was a pleasant guy and nice enough. He started by reviewing some "garage maintenance and repair theory" before he even looked at the door. (That's sets the buyers expectation of what's to come.) He gave me a "deal" on "inspecting" the second door so I agreed to pay $60 before any work was done. He replaced 8 rollers on the main door but advised that I might want to consider a new spring and a cable. The spring was $1,000 but he offered an instant discount down to $700. A huge red flag. The cable, which is actually a belt, was an additional $200-$300. Plus they charge you for additional random parts. And let's not forget the visit fee. I called a local tech for a further evaluation. He looked at the work that the A1 tech performed and pionted out that he didn't notice, or bother with, all the hinges that support the rollers. They were all loose and one of the main reasons for the noisy door. The local tech also quoted me almost half the price for the same new spring which I didn't need to begin with. He tightened all hinges and lubed both doors and they are now quiet and run smoothly. He charged me $79. We paid $350 for a visit, some parts, and rollers that we didn't need. I'm glad we stopped there. The moral of the story, don't get lured down the rabbit hole by a coupon. Shop, ask questions, and go with your gut. Avoid the big box guys whenever you can. I guess someone needs to pay for those TV ads and that fleet of nice trucks.

I looked up the opener parts etc, they charge 4x what the cost of the garage opener units actually are. I unfortunately was too late before my partner agreed to have them start the work. That's on uS But I won't be using or recommending them again because of what they charge. So unfortunate, they price gouge you but this seems to be a thing now in the treasure valley. I miss quality work and pricing done by honest businesses.

We are very pleased with their service from the time we made appointment to after our garage doors were repaired. They were professional, kept us updated when they were on their drive to our house ( even sent a photo of the tech), presented us with a quote that was reasonably priced and did the repair the same day. Thank you Jay, Scott and Thomas!

Called in the morning talked with Kevin and two hours later Scott was texting me he was on his way. GREAT customer service. Office Manager Kevin was able to fit me into their busy schedule as promised and we really appreciated his help in getting our door fixed as soon as possible. Most others were a day or two out. Scott showed up, confirmed the price in advance, and fixed our broken spring in approximately 30-40 minutes. Scott was so professional and we liked the fact that he explained in detail what he was going to do and showed me how to lube the spring every 6 months so the spring would last. Scott noticed my Viet Nam Veteran hat and I appreciated his kind words of thanks for my service. Little things like that mean so much to our Vets. Great job Scott, Kevin and the rest of their Team. If you are having garage door issues give the Garage Door Store in Boise a call. You'll be glad you did just like us.
