It was later in the night and the "Bev Mo' type stores where closing or too far. I used Yelp and came across this store. SUPER IMPRESSED! Honestly, BevMo has nothing on this place. I'm a whiskey guy and know good ones..hard to find ones...ones that BevMo has to order. A lot of those were actually here. It took me almost 15 minutes to pick what I wanted because of the good selection. I wanted to buy a bunch of stuff. If it was a local store, I would be broke. Cool dude working and clean store.

I was told they were out of stock and are now going to get the item ready to ship. IF they had told me at time of purchase they were out of stock I would have found the item elsewhere. Now, since I did have to go find it elsewhere to ensure it was here for his birthday I canceled the order. They are charging me a 10% restocking fee? you have not even pulled the product to pack yet, so horrible. I will never even look at their site again. Do not buy from them. also, why does a small family business have their customer support overseas?? seems very strange to me!

What! There's a Total Wine in Southern California. Well, I'll be. I thought that this was BevMo…read moreterritory, but I'm glad to see a Total Wine in these parts. This Total Wine visit was a means to an end, to be honest. I visited strictly for two reasons: One, to procure bourbon that can't be found in the Midwest. And two, to grab a bottle of red wine that has a twist-off cap that I could take back to my hotel room. I'm happy to say that both missions were accomplished! This Total Wine is like many of the other Total Wine stores: It's very organized and neat, with helpful people all about. That's one of the things that I love about Total Wine: There are people here and there in the aisles, ready to help. The other thing that I love about Total Wine is that it's so super organized, so you can just pop into a store and find what you want. That was the case for me, and I was in and out very quickly. Sometimes, you want to wander and browse. And other times, you just want to go in and get what you want. I got a bottle of red wine, and it was delicious. What more can you want?

Upon arriving I saw they had a tasting for 10¢ so we opted to try a few tastes of wine and holiday nog. This is such a good way to find wines to your liking before purchasing. There was a varied selection. When we were done tasting we asked the woman who was pouring where to find the wine I was looking for. She walked us over to where it was and explained that they had other labels under their brand that were good too. It was great information. We knew what we wanted was the higher end brand name. Knowing what our friend likes made it easy. The lines were a bit long at check out but we got through eventually. It's my favorite liquor store to shop because the selection and prices are the best.

They are reasonably priced (often less than the big stores). They have a good variety and it's fun to wander the aisles. Plus they have fun events and ever changing flights. Sign up for their emails so you know when they're serving something you'd like to try or something you know you like. Plus the outdoor patio is very pleasant. When we arrived we were the only people in the shop so we asked the employee if the wine bar area was open and if we could grab a glass of wine. He said 'of course!' We sat down, and were able to easily see the wines available and pricing. The employee introduced himself as Jim, and we soon learned he was the owner! Within a few minutes more guests arrived and filled the space. Jim knew everyone's name, even asking about pets and upcoming trips. It seemed like a real community. I quickly got to know the other local guests, and learned about their wine club! From Jim's service, the great variety of wine, overall ambiance, and laid back vibes I would recommend everyone to check this out. I'm already looking forward to coming back for the wine club events! They do also serve a small selection of cold bottled beers and snacks like chips and crackers. I did see other guests bring in their own food, so maybe that's allowed too. Thanks Jim!
