Ummm, my bad. I'm sorry that I have failed to write this review for a while - but no longer…read more I love it here. It's definitely a nice getaway in Knoxville for those that like to game in a lively environment and enjoy time with friends and family. And on top of that, it's also great that this and the other parts of the same chain (Bit Burger, Space Bar) are near each other in the same area as well. Makes for a lot of great food service for what you can order (that will be similar at the other spots). The staff has always been (10+ visits) nice and responsive to any requests. The drinks are fun but I like to personally stick to some snacking. I have found the buffalo wraps and mini hot dogs to be the ticket. The pinball machines have a lot of variety and art to admire in them. There are also other board and video game options for those that don't like pinball. I know you'll see us there - so definitely say hi! SYOY!

The corn dogs were fine but likely frozen. The salsa with the chips felt canned. I didn't try the other food but did order a burger from next door Bit Burger with an extra service charge. I ordered the Mega Man, a burger with cheddar, caramelized onions and white BBQ sauce. I didn't taste much of the white sauce and thought the side potato salad was okay, but I did like that they make them smash burgers. As a boba fan I also ordered one of the poppin sodas so that was fun. Overall Token Tavern is a fun place to go with a group of geeks like myself!

I counted 23 taps of beer at the bar, virtually every style is covered, an impressive number and the three we tried were excellent. I had the West Coast IPA and my wife had the Oktoberfest and the Black Rice Lager. The service was excellent. Instead of going for the pizza, which they have a lot of, we went with the Pretzel and beer cheese which my wife liked better than I did. The real star was the Muffuletta sandwich which hands down was the best version of this sandwich I've ever had. The Olive spread had diced jalapeño in it so pretty spicy and oh so good. So between the many taps and that sandwich, CBB West gets a five star.

When our pizza arrived, it was very thin crust, and there were very few toppings and for a buffalo pizza, we couldn't find the buffalo sauce. Definitely not worth the price of the Pizza. There was a gentleman playing music outside that was quite good. In short, beer and service great. Food and pricing for food well below expectations. We would go back for drinks and live music.

A quirky, fun place to go for drinks and light bar fare, especially with a group. You don't have to…read morebe a fan of sci fi/space things, but it helps. It's in a weird, kind of out-of-the- way shopping center, next to a movie theater that's been turned into one of those odd evangelical worship centers (I wouldn't say "church"). That adds to the appeal I think. The staff are friendly and fun, which is what you'd expect in this kind of place. Some of the customers were cosplaying the night we were there, which again added to the fun atmosphere. Even the backlit menus are fun! We had 2 of their most popular cocktails: the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster (named for Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) and the Turing Test. The former comes with a buzz button, which is a seed that makes your mouth tingle. They tell you to take a drink, then chew the buzz button, then take another drink. I found the initial taste of the drink sort of one note. But after the buzz button, when I took another drink, I could taste the many layers of ingredients they use in this drink. It was definitely better. The Turing Test was supposed to have a walnut-ish taste. It was good, but the walnut ingredients were pretty low key. We had a huge lunch the day we went here, so we ordered some of their light bar fare as dinner. The Orbital Cheese was surprisingly good: crunchy parmesan pesto crostini bread that was wonderful on its own, but also really good with the melted feta cheese and tomato dipping sauce. The Rack of Rhynark included bacon, sausage, a few roasted potatoes and a (bland) slaw sort of thing made with radishes or cabbage or something along those lines. This dish was okay -- the bacon being the best thing about it. You don't really come here for the food though anyway, it's the weird drinks and the atmosphere. It's worth a visit!

Neon lighting is everywhere, and the EXCELLENT service are all trained to verbally communicate as if you're in a space lounge. You're greeted at the front door with a funny line like, "Hello Captain, are you ready to greet your crew?" Then smoke surrounds you as the room "air locks", then a host brings you into the bar. The immersion is so fun! Most surprising were the menus, which you open and they glow in illuminated light... very futuristic. The drinks we ordered were absinthe specials, which were served in creative and smoky ways. Note: these were strong drinks :P I saw food at other tables and the pizza looked great. All in all, this bar is so immersive and I can't wait to return!

It doesn't have all of the items they have on the board either so you either have to know or ask. We got the pretzels and cheese and they were yummy. When it was at the motel, there wasn't room for 20 chain smokers to huddle up next to each other and hotbox the entire room. People keep posting on here that they "heard Roger's Place has great hotdogs," and that "they are reported to be the best in Knoxville. Of those people, I wonder "who are these people hanging out with," and "who is telling them that Roger's Place has great hotdogs?" I don't mean to offend anyone, but it would require the "lowest of standards" for someone to deem that Roger's Place has the best hotdogs in Knoxville. They appear as though they cone out of a microwave with cheap canned chili and a blanket of roughly chopped onions. Nothing special here. If you drink enough, you might start to believe the coworker who told you that they are the "best hotdogs in Knoxville." Unless you are dead set on catching emphysema, you may want to go elsewhere.
