When that person drove off, they made my mom and I waited a little bit while they talked and laughed. When they got to me and my mom, they took our clothes, threw it in the boxes. Then asked if we wanted a receipt. My mom who is elderly said yeah and then he's like well you're gonna have to get out and get it in there. He was just rude. Lacked in customer service 100% with us, I don't know what the issue was. We said no that's OK and then he's like all right and just walked off ! No have a good day or thanks for the donations. Nothing. Just Rude! It would help if they gave everyone the same type of customer service.

I wanted to give to St. Vincent de Paul since I have a Vincentian connection; however, Howard Brown, SVdP, etc. have more restrictions on what they take than Salvation Army does. And rather than sort things out and take them to multiple places, off to SA it is. Luckily it's easy to drop off things off here and it's nearby. They have several carts outside in which you can leave the items you're donating. I don't know if that's a pandemic precaution, or if that's how they've always done it. Anyway, I think they accept items pretty much throughout their open hours but double check on their website.
