My little 1.5 year old liked the Thomas train, the cars to get in and go around, the shopping carts and the stuff to climb on. We met up with a friend and they had a great time. You get told you can ask anyone questions and when you do you are in the wrong. Kids are not allowed to have an imagination, for example they get told they cant play kings and queens cause they are not real , um hello ? England has a king queen etc. Kid wants to paint a blue flower? Nope cant paint or have a blue flower cause according to the director, blue flowers don't exist. When ever told you can leave , you then get in trouble the next day for leaving as you were directed cause numbers were down. Teachers walk around talking instead of watching children outside, but if you play with the kids you get in trouble for " not interacting enough ". When at nap time you are told not to tell the kids to lay down but then in trouble cause they are not sleeping. You LITTERALLY can not win at this job. I would Highly recommend anywhere else to work or send you child.Montessori school is suppose to be a loving nurturing environment, but the kids are not allowed to have any type of imagination when playing or interacting with other children.If they do not do their "lessons right " they are yelled at and forced to sit in time out. Often if misbehaving outside the kids will be forced to run laps around the playground till whatever teacher that told them to deems they can stop. Montessori would be rolling in her grave right now, as she always thought that kids should be able to explore and interact with other children to grow and learn, but Storybook hollow limits what your kids can do.

I never have to worry about how they're being treated or whether or not they're safe. It is a large facility with a lot of kids divided into segregated age-based classes. They do have a strict policy about calling ahead of time if you're going to be late dropping your child off (due to staffing reasons, as it was explained to me). I imagine that they probably need to be rigid about certain policies like that since they have such a large number of attendees and are also obligated to follow state law (# of kids : # of care providers). I would recommend Kid Kountry to anyone looking for care for their kiddo.
