Another Victoria Quarter posh type shop, which is essentially bath and shower products, under the umbrella of posh wrapping and luxury ingredients. The actual Crabtree and Evelyn store itself is light and bright and airy in fact the white is so bright it's almost blinding, with it's little boxy alcoves, well shelves full of products, it's nice and tidy and either completely not what you expect a store of this nature to be like or the exact expectation of a luxury product store to be, clean and to the point.
The products themselves smell amazing, and with scents like crabapple and juniperberry whiffing up your nasal cavities they are rather addictive in the sniff department, without being too overbearing, like The Body Shop whiff factor tends to have. Scent combinations tend to be geared towards the more mature scent palates which is often evidenced in the price, seriously, the disposable income crowd must be the only people inclined to part with their pennies in here, as shower gel retails at £15 as does bath and body wash. What else can you get in here, well there's soap for a start, shampoo with aloe vera, essential oil mists and fragrances made from essential oils, body creams and lotions, glycerine soaps again with essential oils and cocoa butter and all that stuff that's good and nutritious for your skin.
Oh and Mother's Day is looming, and Crabtree and Evelyn is aware of this, so erm, yeh, it's a port of call if you're thinking about it, but double and triple check the ingredients for dermatologically tested or hyporallergenic and what not with all the perfume stuff, last thing you need is a blotchy mother on her day. read more
