Trilogy Hotel Montgomery Autograph Collection

If you're visiting Montgomery and want a stylish stay with a modern twist, Trilogy Hotel…read moreMontgomery, Autograph Collection is definitely a nice & convenient spot allowing you to walk to enjoy the Riverwalk and local restaurants/attractions. Ambiance & Vibe: This place has a whole vibe! It's a beautiful boutique-style hotel that blends historic charm with a modern, upscale feel. From the lobby to the rooftop, everything feels thoughtfully designed and perfect for a grown, relaxed atmosphere. Location: You really can't beat the location--right in the heart of downtown Montgomery, within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and the riverfront. Perfect if you like to explore without having to drive everywhere. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable--giving that elevated hotel experience. It's a great place to unwind after a long day out. Service: Overall, the staff is friendly and welcoming, giving that Southern hospitality feel many guests appreciate. Extras: The rooftop bar is definitely a highlight--great atmosphere, nice views, and a perfect spot to grab a drink and relax. Only thing missing that I would have loved was a pool or jacuzzi. Final Thoughts: It's more than just a hotel--it's an experience. Whether you're in town for a quick getaway or a longer stay, Trilogy gives you comfort, style, and a vibe that makes you want to come back.

Spending a weekend in Montgomery to visit the Legacy Sites, our group stayed at the Trilogy Hotel…read more Part of Marriott, the hotel provided a comfortable stay overall. Here's our experience. 1) Check-In: It's easy to book and check in was a breeze. There were enough staff and they move efficiently. 2) Rooms: I was in Room 119 on the ground floor. It's a more small room, but the high ceiling made it look bigger. The room comes with a more spacious bathroom. There's ample closest space, an iron, a safe, coffee maker, and complimentary water bottles. 3) Amenities: There's no pool, but there's a sizable gym, lobby with bookcases and murals, a restaurant, and rooftop bar. If you go to the rooftop bar, it may be confusing to get a seat. We went two different nights to an empty bar and both times the servers were hesitant to seat us. 4) Area: It's downtown and walkable to many museums, but there aren't as many good bars and restaurants in the area.

This was our regular date night location for the last 3 years. We've always recommended this…read morerestaurant to everyone. But last night was not worth the money we paid. Our first date night in months, we get sat at a half table with a view outside of a small and dirty window next to a large table, it felt very crowded. We tried so hard to enjoy ourselves. My filet mignon was over cooked, our server was amazing and he noticed and took it back for me. But my husband's pasta was way too 'lemony' and not reminiscent of the delicious meals we've had before here. We can cook delicious food at home, but we were looking forward to a dining experience. From the 'ambience' of our table (uncomfortable chairs as well) to the over cooked meals, I wish it had gone better.

The hostess was super friendly and welcoming, which set a great tone right away. Even though he's young, he was really attentive and on top of everything. Plus, he's very easy on the eyes, which didn't hurt! I ordered a glass of red wine, the Brussel sprouts, and the short rib rigatoni. The Brussel sprouts came out cold at first, but Alejandro handled it quickly. When they came back, it seemed like fresh ones had been added on top of the old batch--first bite was still cold, but the rest were hot and honestly delicious. The short rib rigatoni was the star of the night. Perfectly cooked pasta, tender short rib, and the fried garlic on top was my favorite part, it added so much flavor. Overall, everything was phenomenal. Great service, great food, and a really nice atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

I stayed with a roommate at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa from Jan 7, 2026 to Jan 8, 2026…read moreas part of a Road Scholar tour program. It was the most luxurious of the three hotels in the program. Photos shown include our room 317. The room included two queen beds, a reasonably large desk, a door to an adjoining room, two religious literature (a Gideons' Holy Bible, and The Book of Mormon) in the nightstand, ample closet space, and "high-tech" light switches that required some head-scratching to use them. The bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower stall. I used the latter. The bed pillows were fluffier than those of Hyatt Place Atlanta/Buckhead, so I needed just one to sleep on. I had to contact front desk and maintenance staff for a "Do Not Disturb" sign as the room did not have one. Sadly, it did not prevent room service from entering the room the next day to make the beds and re-fluff the pillows. My sleep was not impacted but my impression of the overall service was. On the first night, our group went to a private room for dinner. We walked from one end (where our rooms were) to the other end of the hotel. Food was catered in-house as evidence by the serving staff in their hotel uniforms. On both mornings, we had breakfast at The House. It was buffet style with plenty of choices and plentiful in volume. Since we had coupons, we didn't have to pay a cent. However, I didn't give my coupon to the waiters both times and still ate for free. But I sat with my fellow group members so it wasn't an issue. For second day's dinner, I ordered mozzarella sticks to go from The House. It was pricier than I would like, but it kept me fed. There was only one laundry room and it was located on the second floor. It was free of charge but access to the room required the room key. I did my laundry on the morning of the second day. Did not have any issues with the washer or the dryer. It was nice of the hotel to provide a small lounging area just outside the laundry room where I waited until my laundry's done. The laundry room had two microwaves. Don't ask me why they were there. I'd have put them where the vending machines and the ice machines are. I did not try the spa. There wasn't sufficient time and the high price tag was enough reason not to. Nor did I patronize the performing arts venue adjoining the hotel. But there were plenty of lounging areas throughout the first and second floors. The one that I used for a private Zoom meeting was on the second floor, and had plenty of distance away from foot traffic for a reasonable expectation of privacy. If it was entirely up to me, I would not choose the Renaissance. It's out of my price range and I can easily find less expensive choices nearby. However, the stay was mostly pleasant especially when covered by the tour program. If you're willing to pay the price, it's worth it.

At first, my compadre and I sat and ridiculed the middle-aged magician who was hired to entertain our party of mutually middle- (to end) aged guests. But that's just what humans do when they don't understand something. Plus, it did seem to be a rather unconventional form of entertainment for adults, no? No. Once Gary had exposed his huge talent (not in that frowned-upon overcoat and no undies kinda way) to us, I changed my chastising tune. He was so good at what he did, one couldn't help but be impressed. Im not going to detail any of his tricks, as I don't want to take away from the experience, but he had a vast arsenal up his rolled up sleeves: from card tricks, to coins, and hanky's disa and reappearing no one in our party could pinpoint how any trick was done. I kept hearing "slight of hand" this, and "slight of hand" that; slight of hand my ass, this guy has legit skills. If he can handle and entertain a room of fifty, 50 year-olds with an open bar, I'm sure a kids birthday party would be, well... child's play. Book this guy.
