You can print out the card and laminate it if needed. Thank you Ronna! Training experience: You get a booklet and take an exam at the beginning of class. The training was interactive and hands on towards the end. The dummies were very helpful because it showed how much you need to breathe in and how hard to press down. I previously took CPR certification online, but I highly suggest you go to class for a hands on experience if it is your first time. I am now confident to give CPR and use AED if needed. FYI: Accepted method of payment is cash only at the day of training. You can pay with a card if you pay ahead of time online. A lot of students were frustrated with this because we didn't bring proper method of payment or didn't know it was required to purchase a book. They have various training you can choose from online and on various days/time which was very convenient.

The General First Aid/CPR/AED class (which lasts 5 hours) is sometimes required by an employer but I recommend taking the class just in case there is an emergency at home. You are not required to buy books or supplies for the class itself but you can purchase kits and books later on. Our instructor was very nice and informative. They are very thorough and I recommend you bring paper and a pen for notes. They offer a Wilderness First Aid class and Pet First Aid course too.

Awful. Just awful. Went in to donate blood, as I have before. Had completed the "Rapid Pass" at…read morehome and was set. Or thought I was. The lobby had quite a few folks sitting around. Bad sign. The very nice lady at the front desk said they were short staffed. I understood. My appointment had been for noon and they called me back at 12:45. Got through the interview/exam aspect and then was brought to a bed. There were two men working there, one with long dark hair in a pony tail and the other with short light brown hair. The second guy came over, asked the standard questions, put a BP cuff around me and then left to take care of the woman in the next bed, who was ready to leave. Never came back. And never drew my blood. When I looked over he was slowly and methodically cleaning the tools and her bed. I asked if he couldn't at least get me started and then go back to his cleaning and he said "Well, hopefully someone will come out". Huh?? My time is worth something, jackass. So I ripped off my BP cuff and left. Will not be returning.

They are extremely polite and authentic in their concern. My step mom suffers from congenital heart failure and when she seemed weaker and weaker, I called 911. The team came promptly and were very kind to her and helpful in checking her and suggesting the hospital as the next step. This means I can add GV Fire to the plus side of living in "God's Waiting Room." And from my perspective there aren't that many positives about living here, that is, for those of us who still have our wits about us. Still waiting for the housing crisis to improve!
