Chelsea was able to help me navigate through a confusing system of continuing education courses. I needed 30 hours of credits to renew my Illinois PE license. Their postcard advertisement was somewhat misleading, but I would use them again. Three CEU's for $100? Yeah, they are worth the hassle. read more

** Edit/Update** I received an email as well as a phone call from Chelsea (manager) regarding my experience, who addressed my concerns and subsequently informed me I was removed from their contact list. Though satisfied by being removed, I am still disappointed in the lack of professionalism from their representative. Chelsea, whose sugary sweet yet respectful voice via phone call, was rather irritating. She wanted to convince me I must be referring to another company or must have confused them with another company as she only had record of them calling 3 times. Regardless, initially I requested and was polite to their rep who was less than adequate. Even now, I had to track down and publicly post as well as send a formal email wasting my time to get some resolution. My original post is valid though I did edit my accusation of them selling personal/professional contact information to 3rd parties or affiliates. ORIGINAL POST: This company harasses companies that have purchased or even inquired about a product EVER. Past, present, dead... they do not care and have no ethics. I have received several phone calls from their telemarketers, who must get a percentage of the sales they acquire as they are relentless! Do not provide any information! POOR COMPANY!! DO NOT WORK WITH IF YOU DESIRE PROFESSIONALISM read more

This Company will not take off their call list! I am a CPA who does not use this type of method for satisfying my continuing education requirements. CPE Solutions does not care, they phone at least once a week. No matter how many requests I have made, they just ignore me and keep on with the unsolicited calls. read more

UPDATE: I received a phone call the day after I posted the review below. I was told the representative I had spoken to prior to the first review was mistaken and I could obtain the certificate of completion at no charge. Since then I have been able to receive the 8 hours of free CPE including the certificates of completion. Although, I was not impressed enough with their product to switch to this company, I appreciate the opportunity to try their courses at no cost. I received a post card offering 8 hours of free CPE. I completed the online registration but was unable to access the courses without paying. So, I called the 800 number and left a message. I received a call back (which was mostly a sales pitch). When I said I would like to get the free 8 hours of CPE then decide if I would like to purchase more or continue with the company I am currently using, I was told I had to pay to get the certificate of completion. Since I don't know of anyone who takes CPE courses for fun, everyone is going to want the certificate of completion. The advertisement is DECEPTIVE. So add my review to all of the above reviews which state do not do business with this company. read more

**UPDATE** I received a very courteous call from CPE Solutions upon the receipt of my review below. My apologies, I do not recall the gentleman's name. I appreciate the simplistic basics of customer service, and because of that I decided that I would give them a nod for it. It does not change the initial experience with them (which is why I will leave my original review below), but it does give me hope that in the future they can get their associates to respect prospective clients. I will look into CPE Solutions in the future to see if the improvement is enough for us to do business together. *Original Post* Our business (an Engineering firm) received a call from CPE Solutions, today. A woman (named Tamera *I decided not to include her last name*) called asking for our firm's principal. She stated she wanted to specifically discuss the PDH credits for his Texas state engineering license. She was unclear on her intentions (which I now understand that she was trying to sell him courses to earn credits). When I questioned her intent (because occasionally the Professional Boards will audit your PDHs earned for a license renewal) she rudely claimed "You obviously don't understand what I am talking about. I will just email him." and hung up. I am his assistant, so I am the person who keeps track of his licenses and their renewals and PDH requirements. If you want to speak to anyone about his PDH credits, I'm the lady you need, so being rude, especially to me, is counterproductive. If the calls continue, I will always screen them. We obviously will not be participating in anything CPE Solutions has to offer. read more

Do you like pushy salespeople who don't know the meaning of the word "no"? They you will love this company. For the rest of us, I would suggest that you stay far away. This company provides mediocre CPE at best. The courses are not top notch, the speakers/authors are third-tier, and the topics are not really all that up-to-date. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

These idiots call everyday and leave a moan on my machine. I have reminded them that I am on the do not call registry. They told me they ignore the registry. Why would I ever do business with them. Stay far far away! read more

They call all the time, and get a local number to show up on caller ID even when calling from Florida. I asked to be removed from their call list last week and they just called again today. When people need CPE, they will seek it out. No need to call and harass previous customers every few weeks. Their ethics CPE course is fine, but their own ethics and sales tactics could use some serious improvement. read more

Are you kidding? You call my office using a person's 1st name like you're family? You don't know us. That is unprofessional. In addition, when I ask you to please hold, you give me attitude with an "mmmhmmm". That is NOT a professional response. Please work on your ettiquette. read more

Rude! They have the audacity to call my cell number after being repeatedly told that I don't take business calls from my cell, that I would prefer they remove my number from their cold call list and that I don't buy CPE independently. My employer provides it. Then today, when "Michelle" called AGAIN and I attempted to explain AGAIN why her call was pointless, she says, "Well YOU should have said that the last time we talked. There's no need to be rude." And hung up on me. Who's calling whom here? I am not interrupting her life with unsolicited calls and sales pitches. My cell number is not published and is not for HER convenience. And her lack of professionalism makes her company look pretty unprofessional too. There are MANY reputable and excellent CPE companies out there. I have no use for a company that uses obnoxious sales tactics and has rude, unprofessional sales people. Avoid them. read more

I received a reply from a sales person that claims that I am not even in their system. I that's funny it has been years and they still call me AND my husband whenever my CPE hours are due. read more

They have a single person to take care of you, if that person isn't available they will have to call you back. No one else can help you.....seriously !! The product is OK but dealing with the telemarketers is not worth it. Use someone else !!! read more

I briefly looked at some CPE classes on their website, I did not enter any information and now our CPA firm gets a call at least once a day from them. I have asked numerous times for them to remove us as we are not interested and still the calls keep coming. I chatted online with an agent today and again requested that they stop calling. Fingers crossed I hope it works, as these unwanted phone calls are getting quite annoying. read more

Let's face it...You use this service to get the cheapest 80 biannual credits possible...content is not the prime concern. If they could only get their technology working (their own people weren't even aware that the webinars won't work with Windows XP) then they might be worth the price. But I have to agree with other reviewers that they don't respond to many email and phone messages, though I have found them to polite and conciliatory. I have been using this service for over 10 years and the same technology and service problems they had then they still have now. read more

This business sold me an 18-month online training subscription, then backdated my order date by 6 months and cancelled my "18-month subscription" after only 12 months! There only ever seems to be one person who can be reached in customer service; someone named Victoria, and she is very disrespectful to the customer. Each time I've had correspondence with her, she just mouths-off to me to me and does nothing to help matters. Now, she is refusing to refer my concerns to management, not even at my explicit request. It's unfortunate this company has a gatekeeper who is obnoxious to the customer, and there doesn't seem to be any QA of her interactions at all. I haven't found a way to reach management directly, but who knows. Maybe they'll see this review. read more

They use telemarketing...which is fine, but they then call a firm that has five lines and one operator and they light up all five lines at once. They have been asked NUMEROUS times to remove our company number from their call list. We still get calls two to three times a week from this company and they always place multiple calls all at the same time. read more

Run from this group. I thought I would try them. The program did not have the courses I was interested in. I requested a refund and received notice it would take up to two weeks. That was three months ago. Each person says they will take care of it and then they don't. I will never give them another chance and I recommend everyone stay away. They are not ethical and do not keep their promises. read more

I have been a customer for CPE for several years now, however they have repeatedly called me on my cell phone when I have asked them not to. It appears from comments that other people leave on here, CPE has been doing this for a while now and ignores their customers' requests to leave them alone. A few pieces of advice to CPE on customer retention: 1. If a customer asks you not to call them, follow through on that request and don't call them back. Eventually we will need to get our continuing ed done for whatever license we hold. If you don't aggravate us with by repeatedly calling us all of the time, we will come back. 2. Do NOT call any of your CPA clients on the week leading up to April 15th as you did to me this year. A lot of us easily work 60-80 hours that week, the last thing we want to do is stop what we're doing to listen to a sales pitch. 3. Do NOT ever mask your sales call by porting it to a number with the same area code as the one you are calling. That is rude, dishonest and deceptive. 4. When my response to your salesperson is, "I just completed my CPE a few months ago and I am all set for the next two years," don't reply back with questions. Nobody is going to drop a few hundred bucks over the phone right then and there for something they don't need for another year and a half. Rather, say, "ok, thank you for your time, we hope you will keep us in mind in another year or so when you need to re-up your continuing ed." Rather than phone calls, perhaps send your repeat customers an email in a year and a half when they start thinking about their continuing ed and offer a returning customer discount. Basically, CPE has a decent product, but I don't see how their customer retention department is doing them any favors. It's like you have a decent meal and service at a restaurant and then the hostess kicks you in the groin as your leaving. Therefore, they have gotten a one star rating from me. read more

I had used these guys for a couple years but when my subscription came up for renewal, they started calling me, even after I first turned them down. Now they call almost daily, some times more than one. I have their number on ignore at this point. Personally, I don't do business with people who use such tactics and if I could have given them less than one star, I would have. read more

Misleading telemarketers....the Unlimited Gold Package is NOT unlimited....unlimited only to the extent of a list of 8 or 10 courses, not their entire line of offerings. I have used this company in the past and I enjoyed their products. They have been in business for almost 20 years so they are doing something right. I have received calls many times and I appreciate being contacted. They call when they have special pricing on their courses and webinars. I see nothing wrong with that and I have saved money over the years because of it. People need to understand that its okay to market. Amazing how people complain about the economy and no jobs but can't understand why a company might market directly to them. read more

don't use!!! they don't give you full credit. listened to the full 2 hours and they said i didn't answer but 3 questions. obviously trouble with their system and didn't take my word for it. not to mention, it was the worst webinar i have ever sat through. my assistant and i said it was worthless. so to add insult to injury, i then didn't receive credit. read more
