This firm handled my personal and business taxes for three years. Every single year, I received notices from the IRS and the Department of Revenue stating that my returns were filed incorrectly. Communication was another constant problem. Nearly every scheduled meeting was canceled due to an "emergency." This happened year after year. The first year, after I emailed all required documents, I was invoiced to review and respond to IRS and State of Oregon notices caused by their own mistakes. Even after paying for their review, the issue was not resolved, and I am now making monthly payments for taxes that should have been handled correctly from the start. Document management was equally troubling. After sending complete records by email, I was repeatedly told they could not locate them, as if they had never been received. Most recently, I learned that in 2023 the CPA failed to check the box to file an extension for my returns. As a result, I am now responsible for paying the penalty for their oversight. I gave this firm three years, hoping things would improve. They did not. I have since switched to a new CPA. Other entrepreneurs should think carefully before trusting this firm with their livelihood.

Overcharged and underdelivered. 2025 was our first (and…read morelast) year filing with PNW. We provided a well-organized packet of documents, which was commented on when we dropped them off. Then 3 days later was instructed to complete a very detailed filing questionnaire and instructions that our return would not be filed on time without if. We would have been fine with that if this was explained ahead of time instead of so close to 4/15. The filing review meeting was rushed and average. No tax strategies were explored for that year nor any tangible actions for the next year. Then we were given the bill which was over $2,000. Our 2024 filing was nearly a 3rd of that amount and experiences with our long-term preparer from 2006 - 2023 (who retired) was less a 1/4 for 2023. Both were professional tax advisors, and we had no major changes to our finances. We asked why it was so high and were given no plausible answer other than that is what they charge. I don't believe the Porsche's in their parking lot belong to clients. Lastly, very odd, the door to their office looked like we were entering an amateur workshop. We had concerns their premises were secure.

These last 2 years have been increasingly difficult with abbott tax. 2024 my taxes were completed…read morevery late but this was because of a passing in their family in which i was able to speak with Daniel and he assured me would not be a issue again...wrong! 2025 taxes were a nightmare. I inquired about the status in June 2025, got the run around from his staff and no answers. I inquired multiple times after that and continously got the run around, disregarded and told things that were not followed through. I requested to speak with the Owner and got every excuse, continuing to use the sane excuse they used the year prior. It was absolutely absurd. It took me having to seek a lawyer and the lawyer to outreach for them to finally get my taxes done in December 2025- yes December 2025- right as 2025 are now going to be due. On top of us owing and penalties, I then had to pay them a decent amount for poor services and when I tried to discuss a refund the owner disappears but then writes back to what he wants too. No accountability of the poor response, stress they cause as i have never had late taxes until abbott, poor follow up and follow through, as well lack of professional accountability. My sister contacted them a few days ago to check on the completion date. She was told that they were "in Dan review" (Dan is the owner) but they were not ready yet. These people are either in over their heads or they don't know what they're doing! I DO NOT recommend this company.
