Thankfully they fixed the elevators. The elevators here used to be wobbly and shaky. They are also not leveled to the floor when the elevator opens. It's rare to meet someone so naturally comforting. I went to a different location previously but made the decision to come back to this one specifically because of how sweet and professional Peggy was. She truly made a difference. I also want to thank the ladies who helped me at the front desk like Lynn Lin. They were welcoming and helpful, creating a smooth check-in process and a friendly atmosphere right from the start. I was taken into the changing room to change my top. The staff lady opened the door when I was in the middle of changing. The lady did not apologize to me and just closed the door as if nothing happened. I was shocked because there were patients sitting outside right in front of the changing room and they saw me. Also, front desk charged me upfront for the ultrasound even though I have insurance. I paid and realized that my insurance paid for 99%, I called them and asked about my refund and they told me they will send me a check but they never did. read more

I went here for an x-ray of my shoulder at the advice of a doctor. After a bike accident where I fell on my shoulder, I needed to make sure I didn't have a hairline fracture. I called the number on the website and they told me I can just come in anytime before 530 for an x-ray no appointment needed. So that's what I did on a Friday afternoon at around 4:30 PM. I have to say this place isn't as fancy as a brand name hospital such as NYU Langone, but it's perfectly fine. It wasn't crowded and I was able to get in and out within an hour. They promptly sent my x-ray to my doctor, so by Monday I was able to find out I did not have a fracture. And the cost was under $50. And they accept credit cards read more

I was referred to this place by a doctor and I won't be coming back ! I had two appointments first at 11:45 a.m. second at 2:30 p.m. I arrived at their office at 11:20 a.m. checked in waited until 12:00 p.m. to be called by the front desk to give them my insurance and to be given paperwork to fill in. Mind it they have at least 5 people at their front desk. Her name is KIM and she is a monster! I repeat this is not a human an evil monster. I asked her if they confirmed with my insurance that I'm cleared because I already had a letter from the insurance from my 2:30 p.m. appointment the answer was "THIS IS NOT MY JOB" -strike one! I went to seat in the waiting area to be called in she screams across the waiting are and asks me a question that needs to be asked in private-strike 2. Finally I'm called in for my first appointment and before I walk in to the room that will be handled my examination I asked if the front desk confirmed details with the insurance. The lady called the front desk and right in my face THE MONSTER KIM starts yelling at me that is not her job mind it I'm in the open space half naked in robe and there are people half naked seating waiting for their turn. I didn't respond to her because it wasn't worth my energy at this point and I was in tears while calling my insurance to do her job. Everyone seating in the area was telling me that they know exactly what I needed and it is the facility responsibility as the regular place I go to does check with insurance. I am not a person who easily gets shaken or cry but KIM was someone no one should experience. One old lady told me that she is always like that well this must change! I understand that we all went through tough years, I understand that there is a shortage of employees but why would you hire someone who needs to be correction officer in jail to be front desk person. Manager pulled me aside and gave me tissues and I had my two exams done as I explained that I'm concern that I might be late for my second appointment which was MRI and I had to go to another floor even though is the same medical center. I made my second appointment on time and Sheryl was beyond delightful and handled my appointment professionally. All I can say I'm not going back to this office even though I'm referred by a doctor. They should fire KIM and have someone with people skills to serve their patients as KIM is notoriously famous for being inappropriate and rude! read more

Went in for a CT scan, check in was smooth. I was then asked to drink two bottles of barium sulfate. The staff was patient and took the time to explain how I needed to drink the first bottle asap and can take my time with the second bottle. They told me I might experience an upset stomach afterwards and checked up on me a few times to see how I am doing with the second bottle. During the scan the tech was polite and informative. He explained the process with easy to understand instructions. read more

I've been to this place twice since they have a relationship with Charles B Wang Community Health Center--and thanks to them I'm going to another health care provider. First, they leave you waiting for a solid 30 minutes to an hour for each procedure (I was going for 2), which I wouldn't mind so much if they told patients up front (they do not.) Second, staff professionalism is very lacking, to the say the least. The ultrasound technician, Peggy, was exceptionally unprofessional, making unwelcome and unnecessary comments about my body, butchering my name and then claiming that this was because Chinese people can't say Vietnamese names (first time I've ever heard that in my life) and then giving medical advice that was incorrect about breast cancer risks in families with a history of it. At this time, only patients with an appointment can come in as they check your name and temp before getting in the elevators. I had to go to the 3rd floor and the staff at the front desk were very on point. I say good morning, they said give me the paper. Ok sure! Waited for a little bit since the one assigned for mammograms just got in while I was waiting. I got called in after 10 mins and asked for my insurance card, waited for another 5 mins to tell me I have a copay. Ok, then signed a few pages of paper work. After another wait, the front desk staff, I forgot her name but she was very helpful. She told me to follow her to the back so I can get change into a gown. I noticed she just opened the door and picked up an empty plastic bag, so this room has been used before for changing without being sanitized or disinfected. Was waiting then got brought into the room. Then went back in front of the changing where the chairs are to wait for an ultrasound. One of the staffs just sprayed a disinfectant without wiping the chair inside! And the smell of the spray lingered everywhere where we were sitting down. Overall, the staff are helpful read more

I had a pretty unfortunate experience here that would qualify as 1 star but in the interest of starting this review off on a positive note, the staff that I've encountered here is pretty nice and helpful. I'll go in more detail about that, shortly. The words, "barely contained chaos" comes to mind when I think about each and every visit that took place at CP Advanced Imaging. It's always crowded. It's always full of confused people, many of whom are elderly and/or sick. I wish elderly and sick people didn't have to ever experience an environment like this. It saddens me to my core. They deserve better. I would like to say it's a management problem, but it does deeper than that. It's a business model problem. I have a family history of breast cancer and have been getting mammograms/MRIs for a number of years. This is always extremely stressful and upsetting, not to mention, mammograms are super uncomfortable. Suffice to say, I dread this semi annual experience. I do not recommend getting them here for one major reason that may or may not matter to other women: there are men walking around on the same floor/section as the mammo area. I can't articulate as to why this bothers me, but it's such an intensely personal experience to even share on Yelp, but I feel people need to know about this. A man walked in on me as I was washing off deodorant in the bathroom (by this point I was undressed and wearing a flimsy hospital gown). Yeah, I forgot to lock the door, so my fault. But I couldn't help screaming because I was so unnerved to begin with, and the man was so annoyed that he yelled at me to "lock the f@cking door!!" I just took it as an act of aggression, whether or not he meant it as such. I was shaken to tears. I might also add that walking to the bathroom required me to pass a male custodian emptying the trash (who looked at me as I passed, half naked). Unacceptable. When the tech brought me in the room, I told her about the experience and she was SO KIND, that it calmed me down a lot. She assured me that only women techs work in the mammo department and that I had been in a bathroom in an area that shared access to some other imaging area. It doesn't matter. I'll never return here for a mammogram. That said, I had several other visits because I needed films to bring for a second appointment that I made elsewhere and I was able to get them quickly enough. I also had to bring in films from last year and the young dude working at the reception area (he answers phones, too) is also extremely helpful, so I appreciate all of this and it's what keeps this from being one star. The waiting room experience is one of the worst I've ever experienced (see above) and it's rare that you're not going to be waiting in this upsetting environment for less than a half hour. Luckily there are alternatives for a lot of us. read more

My doctor ordered an X-ray for me. The place says they're open 9am to 6 pm seven days. I arrived at 5:07 pm and was told they can't take me because I'm "too late" and they already have "too many patients". So now I'm still in pain and no closer to figuring out why. If you're not taking patients after 5, you're not open until 6. Either advertise proper hours or start taking appointments for X-rays. read more

I see other reviews saying the wait time can be crazy but they managed to schedule her an appointment in a timely manner. I was referred to this place by my doctor. I was anxious about getting an MRI, it's never fun to do these type of procedures but process was overall smooth! The technician gave me earplugs for the loud sounds and offered to give me an extra robe since I was cold. My veins are difficult to find but I was relieved that was not an issue here! I am also impressed by all the safety cautions they are taking for Covid-19. There is someone in the front to greet you to make sure you have an appointment before they let you go there, they take your temperature and encourage you to use the hand sanitizer before proceeding to your appt. There were extra sinks available near the waiting rooms, which was super helpful since I was able to conveniently wash my hands without needing to wait for someone to come out of the restrooms. The friendly staff greeted me shortly and gave me couple of forms to fill out, that process was pretty quick and there were only a few others waiting. The only time there was a little wait was after I changed into the robe, but it gave me a chance to respond to some messages on phone and use the restroom. I liked that they were playing a funny game show in the waiting room I was at, definitely liven up the mood! Bonus: It's in chinatown so there were many authentic, delicious, cheap eats for me to choose from after. Also, only a few blocks from Grand st. & Canal St. train station. I had my first visit to do a mammogram and no one called me to prep me or let me know that I should not wear lotion or deodorant so I had to wash the upper part of my body with hand soap or they would not do the procedure. They think they spotted something and said I needed a second mammogram which my doctor scheduled anout 1 month after my first appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, these people refused to see me because I hadn't paid my deductible from my last visit which was $110. My health is at stake and I was basically told that my life is only worth $110! As big as this company is, they certainly are not hard up for that amount of money. Should something happen to me and it's on their hands!! You all should be ashamed of yourself! read more

It has always been efficient and professional. Never a problem with imaging, quick turnaround and pleasant staff. Just went there yesterday for a series of x-rays. Horrible place. As a walk in, I was informed that my wait would be about 15-20 minutes. After waiting 25 min, I was told there is at least 10-15 people before me and i would have to wait additional 30-45 min prior to my turn. Advise to the management: train your staff to provide accurate information to your clients and have respect for your client's time... As a business who has such a big turnaround you should be able to establish a system that would leave your clients (WHO DO PAY MONEY FOR THIS) satisfied! Also, they wanted to charge me a copay of $26.00 stating that I haven't met my deductible, which is absolutely wrong. My deductible was met prior to my arrival to their office and if I was someone who would not keep count of this they would have charged me for that as well! read more

A family member of mine needs surgery but prior to surgery, the hospital/surgeon where shes getting a procedure done requested that we obtain FMA slides from where the biopsy was performed. Me, being clueless to the medical field, followed the surgeons orders and was told to go to the place where the biopsy was performed and request for FMA slides and that they will know what it is. Hospital did not want to request them directly as there are times, fees from a third party may incur. Understandable. So, I go to CP Imaging on a dreary Monday afternoon. Place has 3 floors, which means they are doing well. I enter the 3rd floor, whereas the elevators acts as doors. The place was packed and even the receptionist table, every chair was occupied. Being my first time there, I walked in and waited by the receptionist table. Shortly, a I hear a voice, how can I help you. Lets call her Recep#1. Recep#1 seems nice at first. I proceeded to tell her a family member got a biopsy here, provided, the name, and DOB. she was able to find the file. I told her the hospital is requesting FMA slides. she hesitated at first. she didnt ask for assistance. All i said was the hospital told me to go to the place where the biopsy was performed and ask for FMA slides. All of a sudden, she understood and asked me to sign a waver form and come back in 2 days. I return as instructed, 2 days later. I walk in, place was empty. I saw Recep#1 there, so I approached her, and said I came to pick up the FMA slides i requested earlier this week. She was busy, so she pointed me to Recep#2, who was sitting next to her. So I walk to her and said, hi, i am here to pick up the FMA slides. Recep#2 goes, we dont have FMA slides here. Wat da heck??? so i turn to Recep#1, and without apologizing, she goes, i thought you meant the CD. When did i say CD? and if I were going there for a CD, i wouldve said CD. Recep#1 clearly wasnt even trying to help, so i tried to explain to Recep#2 what i needed, all she said without even looking at me, said we do not offer that here. Recep#2 is just as bad as the Recep#1 but at least she knew they didnt have what i needed. Luckily, there was a pretty lady sitting behind the frosted glass, lets call her Recep#3 overheard our conversation and said, you need to go to the lab where the specimen was tested. She explain to me in detail of how the process goes from the biopsy to the lab. thanks goodness someone was helpful. Recep#3 provided with me all the details and contact person of the lab where i can obtain the FMA slides. This place would have probably gotten NO stars but that is not possible, the ONE star goes to Recep#3. She alone would get a 5star rating. Its ok that they didnt provide what I needed, but if they misunderstood, they should have been at least apologetic. Not everyone is in the medical field and understand all the terms. Needless to say, i got what i needed from the lab and now just hoping the surgery goes well. read more

Due to new found severe health issues I was referred and instructed for a MRI exam. Scheduling an appointment as a first-timer was a ordeal with the amount of paperwork to complete, in conjunction, with the aggravating hurdles of O DUMMY healthcare. Staff thoroughly instructed patients in full detail of what to bring on the date of the appointment: all receipts from doctor's office to meet insurance deductible, insurance card, and doctor's referral. They also gave a written instruction in both Chinese and English of what to do the morning of the radiology exam (i.e. to eat or not to eat, do not urine 1 hour before, do or do not take medications, et al) which is very informative as a first timer MRI patient. CP Imaging is a full service radiology center with lots of equipment, several waiting rooms, changing rooms. Warning: This is not Disney World where it is all fun and enjoyment as there are numerous HUGE MRI and other radiation equipment. My overall time totaled enduring three (3) hours from arriving on time, waiting for my name to be called, changing to the hospital gown, waiting again, injection and IV, preparing to go inside the lion's den, lying on the bed, performing the MRI, checkout, payment, and picking-up my CD. No doctors are present and they do not exist at CP Imaging. A Radiology Technician is present for setup, perform the actual exam, removal of injection contrast dye, downloading image on CD, and discharge. The woman kept jerking the bed as I was inside the extremely enclosed, small confined claustrophobic space. For people who never endured any form of radiation MRI, mammogram- note the machine is extremely loud, clanking noises while the technician operates- bigger and deafening louder than my company's Indigo 5500 digital printing press. Industrial ear protection is put on me which this also serves as a guide for instructions as when to hold your breath and when to breathe. I received a emergency call button should I encounter a problem because once inside the technician cannot hear you and there is no communication with the outside world. No music. The only sound emitted is the MRI machine. I was inside the lion's den lying on the narrow thin bed for forty five (45) long haul minutes. My body was stiff and I closed my eyes during the whole ordeal reciting "The Lord's Prayer" and "Hail Mary's" repeatedly out of fear and great anxiety. I had a reaction to the Contrast MRI dye with a massive blaring headache and rash on my arm where the injection was located. There are free lockers for patients to place personal belongings, or have a friend/love one to safe keep your personal belongings. Facilities are plenty and clean with the look of a cookie cutter hospital setting. The technician assisted me to physically rise from the bed. Credit cards is only accepted when one's bill is $40.00 and above. Appointment highly recommended. read more

I've come here on and off over the years for scans, X-rays, so I figured I would try them for a saline sonogram because they are open on the weekend which is convenient. I'll never go there for any kind of invasive procedure again. First the front desk receptionist then the tech both asked me why I was getting this procedure because it didn't match the diagnosis code? Excuse me? Why don't you ask my doctor and just do your job which is to perform the procedure. Which they didn't do because the doctor was inexperienced--she was actually moving the speculum around in order to get a better angle. Come here if you have a noon appt, be registered at 1pm and maybe get scanned before the crack ass dawn of the next day if you don't go insane in the closet of a waiting room of course. This place has no respect for your time. Will overbook as many patients as possible and expect everyone to wait, for hours if need be, for their scans. Don't be fooled when you get fed up after wasting a few hours of your precious day off waiting. The staff will sense your frustration and take you inside only for you to wait some more. I am starting to reconsider the MD that recommends their patients to come to a place like this. Given the sheer lack of care of their patients time, it's a wonder what kind of care they will give to the actual procedure. I had a great experience at CP. I was originally worried with covid around right now on the safety for me and my family but at the lobby before you even go in they measure your temperature and give you sanitizer to sanitize your hands. The elevator also has spots on the floor to show social distancing in it. When you get to the waiting area and actual rooms everything is very clean, there is hand sanitizer provided at different sanitizer stations, and social distanced seats.The wait was normal for a medical office and no one was being discourteous there from the patients to the staff. The technicians that helped me and my family were very nice and patient with explaining what issues we had and escorted us to the areas we needed to go to. I asked some repetitive questions too but they didn't get annoyed and remained patient and nice. They currently take cash and card payment so there's no problem if you go with either. Overall I think they're doing really great during these times with their service and cleanliness, which I think is something we all find very important. read more
