Had very low expectations given all the bad reviews. I have a rooftop box on my car and can't do any drive thru car washes. I've used a couple self wash places that were mediocre so this also gave me low expectations. The rooftop box and front grill of my car was covered in bugs. Wheels had lots of dirt and dust and the car was just generally dirty from parking under trees and the long drive to work from where I live in the mountains. Well first off - there is a setting specifically for bugs stuck to your car! There is also a very strong power wash that removed all the bugs after soaking them. Didn't have to scrub. There was a soak specifically for wheels too. The timer stopped at $15 and I had to put my card in again and I think the minimum is $5. I didn't really need that much time after putting in my card the second time but at least now I know. So the wash was $20. Next time I'll move faster. I'm very satisfied with how clean the car is. read more

Didn't have coins. Used a credit card, only wanting a $5.00 wash. Pushed the red button to stop the wash and timer from continuing. My card statement is now $20. Called the phone number, like everyone else say's, DO NOT go here..... THEY DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE. RIP OFF!! read more

RIP OFF!!!! If you use a card they will charge you $20 even if you stop the machine at $5. DO NOT GO HERE. The phone number doesn't work either. This business is a SCAM! read more

Just got overcharged by $15 per time. It timed out after 5 minutes, so I tried it again. Just got charged 2x $20. $40 for like 8 minutes.... Seems ridiculous. The number to call doesn't connect to anyone. I won't be going here ever again.. read more

Be aware that your credit card will be charged for more than you were expecting! I bought a $4.00 rinse today and my credit card was charged $10.00,as others have reported here. Called their phone, but no answer. I'll dispute the charge once it's posted. read more

horrible. I was overcharged by $10. tried to call but no one answers the phone and the number disconnects after around 20 rings.

the change machine did not work, had to use a credit card, i used a second time for 5 minutes and they charged $15 for 5 minutes of use! Rip off place, never going there again. read more

F*ck this place. Cost $5 for 4min just to start the wash and DOES NOT beep when time is low so it times out and you have to spend ANOTHER $5 to start it. I have a large van so I would have spend a fair amount of money here but I left with a half washed vehicle because I refused to feed into the cheap trick and terrible pricing. read more

Overpriced with no customer service whatsoever five dollars to get started. I use the thing for three minutes. It charged me $15. No way to get a refund no way to report it to anybody. This is a deadbeat business. Don't ever go here go across the street you'll save money by paying them to wash your car! read more

It's a car wash, basic service. They will place a $15 hold on your account for a couple days (typical for car washes) then refund the balance if you use less. Convenient location. read more

Charged $15 for a 5 minute rinse. Why is everything a ripoff these days? So sad. This place used to be my go to. Not anymore.

Went there today to wash my truck and was wrongly charged. The first time around it got to $10 on the meter and stopped working. Second time it got to $4.30 and I was finished and hit stop, although I was charged another $10 on my credit card. I would stay clear of this place. read more

I was in Boulder recently and found myself in need of a self service car wash. Coyote Wash was just up the street so I gave it a shot, even though the reviews weren't so great. The wash worked great, no issue with the services I used. My wash required I swipe my card twice, the first time I ran the wash until the time maxed out, the total cost was $10. The second swipe to complete the wash was an initial charge of $10 that reduced to $5.81 once posted to my account. When in the area again, I will return. read more

We were here for 10 minutes and got charged upwards of 25 dollars. The machine says it is 4$ until the machine runs out and you have to swipe again, which we did once. He was very rude when we asked about it, saying we had been there as long as he was (not true) and unwilling to help with the incorrect multiple charges. Spent 30$ on a car wash you have to do yourself read more

DON'T GO HERE! This has been the 3rd or 4th time I was overcharged. I made sure I stopped the machine, and had it switched to off and I was charged $15 instead of $5. Ripoff in my opinion. read more

This is a great coin car wash. Has change machines and takes credit cards. As someone who goes on a lot of road trips, this is exactly what I look for in a self serve car wash. Clean and well maintained. I often ride on long motorcycle trips and use yelp to try to find places like this. Too bad some people have it low review for wrong reason on their credit cards. Not knowing the money is charged and then unused time is refunded. #streetglidenation #motorcyclewash read more

Coyote Carwash - Car Wash Near Me - Boulder, Colorado

Well, isn't that interesting that I pushed the STOP button after my wash and recorded my fee as $4.03 but got charged $10. What's going on Coyote Carwash? You are not answering my call, so off I go to call my credit card company. My boyfriend has had the same thing happen to him so he told me to watch my credit card bill. Whaddya know!? Not cool! We won't be back! read more

Listen to the rest of the reviews. I paid with card about a week ago and stopped at the $5.00 minimum. Saw on my statement that I was charge $15. I have now called on 2 different days to ask about the charge and they do not pick up the phone. Scumbag thieves. read more

This is the second or third time my card was overcharged. I've been charged exactly $10 and clearly stopped at a little over $4 for my carwash. I pressed stop twice to make sure it was done and it still overcharged. Just tried calling and no answer. make sure to use cash if you use this so you don't get overcharged read more

Exact same experience as those below. Stopped my wash before the $5 credit card amount was reached. Machine says will be charged $5 and the car wash stopped at the point $5 was reached (as i expected and wanted). Just received my credit card statement and was charged $15. This isn't an accident. Its calculated theft. I will dispute with the credit card company and recommend investigation. read more

I like this car wash well enough until something goes wrong like I just lost $4.00 in the coin machine because although I inserted my money the spray wand never started and there was nobody around in person or on the phone line that I could report this to and I've called many times! Consequently I lost $ and have a dirty car. read more

I came here yesterday to give my car a thorough wash after a dirty Colorado winter. Not only was this the most expensive car wash I've ever been to but I ended up having to re-wash my car after I got home and wipe the dirt off. I clipped my floor mats into the clamps on the wall and after spraying them they kept falling off onto the filthy ground. This ended up wasting more time, as I'm trying to hold the spray hose while picking my mats up and clamping them in again. I'm disappointed with my experience here and I will not be back. read more

Great value for the services available. Extremely hard to find a cheap car wash in Boulder otherwise.

YUCK. Are they really thinking this place is cleaning my car? My car wasn't that dirty, but thought it would be nice to get the dust off. First of all, I didn't read the reviews because I was just driving through Boulder and saw this place. I wouldn't have gone. Is there soap in this machine, because I didn't see any. I kept checking to see if I had it on the right selection, it said soap but there wasn't any coming out. I turned it to rinse, just to get out of this place. I rinsed my car and left. Two miles later I got out at Target and looked at my car, it looked worse then before I went there!! What a waste of time and money. I just told my husband that I'm writing this review. He said don't you remember I brought my car there in May and complained of the same thing. I guess I dont' remember. Awful then, Awful now. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. My search goes on for good car wash. read more

Car wash OK just what I expected. The bill changers says it will change $20.00 and it gave me $5 in quarters...but what happened to my $15 change? Ripped off! read more

This place is rarely busy and everytime I have been here all the equipment is working! That's a rarety from where I come from. I love the do-it-yourself washing booths equipped with everything from soap, sprayers, wheel cleaner, etc. They even have little hooks on the walls to hang up your car mats and spray them down. I will say this place gets a little sketchy at night though, behind it is a popular spots for vagrants to hang out and it seems like some drug dealing goes down. read more

Southern vacuum has no hose and of course no out of order sign so I gave them $1.50 for free. Went to the most notthern vacuum and BEWARE OF NAILS everywhere along with trash all over. This place is a convenience and less then the one off Canyon Blvd but I would never recommend this to anyone. I did try calling the phone number but it just kept ringing and never went to voicemail. read more

It's a good car wash, $3.00 and I can rinse the Colorado dust off my baby. SMH the people saying the place is ripping you off.. check your credit card balance at the end of the month, it will be refunded. They have to "charge" a minimum amount. Do adults really not understand how that works? Anyway, I stop here to wash my car.. the only time I go somewhere else is during the winter months when I need my under carriage rinsed. read more

always over charges when you pay with card. when i called to deal with this issue they never pick up. definitely better places to go

BEWARE! Charges $10 to your card for a $3 wash , every time. Total rip off!! Cost me $20 to wash my car this morning, WTF!

Hey all, I've been a local resident of Longmont, Lafayette and Boulder my entire life and visited tons of do-it-yourself car wash places in the area. I've never had a problem with any of them until today at Coyote Carwash. For a 3$ wash it charged me 3.50$ the first time. The 3 minute timer was done as I arrived at the final rinse the cycle, again, never had this problem before. Thinking that this was a bit odd I decided to get my cell phone out and synchronized the stop watch function when I began a second wash cycle which cost me 3.50$ again. When the wash timer was done I checked my cell phone and found a nearly 20 second difference! I was baffled and angry that a 3 dollar car wash had turned into 7. Being my first time AND last time using this car wash I can't speak to whether this is a common problem. However, for a business whose entire business model is predicated on the time they deliver to their customers, to overcharge AND have that big a time difference is unacceptable and borderline criminal. I can't decide if this was a fluke or if this is common knowledge among boulder residents. Either way, the better business bureau might be hearing from me on this one. read more

The credit card readers are the worst. It stated I would be charged $4 for the wash and it charged me twice for $20. Avoid this rip off.

I arrived today to wash my car and wound up with none of the equipment working. I hit "STOP" on the wash but it said I had to wait a minimum of 3 minutes. After that, I moved to the next slot over and ran the car wash. When I got home today, my credit card was charged $10 x2. I have tried to call and call and no answer. Unacceptable. Wish I had read the reviews before I came. read more

I was also charged $10 when the screen said the final charge was $5.50. I will never use a car wash like this again since I've had the same thing happen at another location using the same kind of card reader. It doesn't matter if you push the stop button and the screen clears back after telling you your total... you will get charged $10!!! The only reason I used my card is because the water stopped after only 1 minute when I used quarters (you're supposed to get 2 minutes 20 seconds when paying $2.50) so my car was only half washed and I didn't have another $3 in quarters. It is a total scam and since the phone number associated with the car wash just rings with no answer, there really isn't any other option than to fight with the bank to get your money back. I'm personally going to file a complaint and hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Easy access, great price and if the puddle is the ONLY carwash in Boulder, this is a great alternative as long as you're willing to do it yourself. One change machine was not working. Come with quarters! read more

Lately the credit card readers are not working and other patrons need to tell you to use the coin machine. Last Saturday, I inserted my credit card but there was no information registering on the card reader so I did get $5.00 worth of coins. Today, my bank statement shows that my card was charged $10!!!!!! The owners of this Coyote Car Wash on 28th need to revamp their payment system. This is not the first time I have had fraudulent charges on my credit card. And the wash this time was short enough to have cost $3.00 (as usual) NOT $5.00! I don't think I will be coming back to this particular place. read more

There are signs up that claim that they charge your CC $10, but then it is supposed to eventually charge the price you are charged in a couple of days (Like when you buy gas and they do a $1 test charge). BUT it never happened and I got charged the $10. I called my CC company and filed a dispute. I got my money back. Coyote never disputed it. I also made a complaint on the BBB website and they made calls and sent a letter to the address and called me back to say they business was closed....even though it is clearly not. I would ONLY PAY CASH if I came here again. Which is unlikely. read more

I've been a customer for years, not because of good service, but because of convenience. Today I was told I could come back when it wasn't busy to have my car washed because I have a larger suv (same one I've always had) and it wasn't "convenient" for them to wash my car. I recommend going elsewhere and will be spreading the word. Customers should be priority, and we don't run on your watch. read more

I was over charged $10 for a $2.63 charge on CC. I will do a charge back with CC company and have reported them to the Boulder City Attorney. If there is a minimum $10 charge it's certainly not posted clear enough. I'm calling the Boulder Camera to let them know what slimeballs these people are. read more

Beware - I was charged $10 for my carwash here and it was $7 and change when I stopped it. The reason it was more than $5 in the first place is I had to wait about 2 minutes before water would even come out of the sprayer in the first place (it was just dripping out). This isn't the first time I was charged $10 either, I just wasn't sure the first time that I hadn't taken a lot longer than I thought. I checked this time to be sure, and $10 read more
