The best part about Ropero de Lilith is that when you walk in you don't automatically get the feeling you are in a used clothes store. Everything is nicely displayed and spread out so you don't have to dig around for "the good stuff". Because of this, you are not going to find super cheap options (although everything stays around the 10 mil mark). What is really great, is that you can "window shop" on their Deemelo page. They constantly update it with prices and photos of their newest finds. Once it has been sold they will update so you won't get your hopes up :) Plus, if you want something let them know and they will hold it for you. The thing that separates them apart from the rest, is the owner also has certain clothes she has taken and redesigned - to really offer unique options for her clientele. Besides her talent for picking out great outfits and design, her and her husband are also super nice and will help you find what you are looking for (if it is not there, let them know and they will hunt it down for you). There's a huge selection of restaurants to check out. We checked out different menus and actually sat in one spot and left when we realized it was vegetarian. There's music coming from different restaurants and the area is bustling. Definitely a regular area to eat, drink and chill when you're in the Santiago area.

Cueros Mata only works with leather (although you can add jean or other fabric as details) and makes shoes "a tu medida" meaning, you can come in with a design and they can help you recreate it. The price isn't much different than say, a pair of Steve Madden boots, in fact the majority of them range between 50 mil to 90 mil - which for good quality leather hand-made shoes is a bargain. If you live in a different region they even ship! I would pass by and take a look or give them a call to ask about recreating your perfect shoe.
