The room comes with its own little AC/heater u can control super easily. The big open windows is MARVELOUS I spent many hours just staring at the scenery. They have housekeeping come by while ur gone to replace towels and tidy up. The shared bathrooms were awesome! They're literally 1 minute away (right directly across the cabins) and there's 3. Two of them are normal sized and one is bigger with a vanity. They give u towels in there too and shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Nice rain fall style shower head that's huge and aesthetic , and also a wand if u wanna handheld. Awesome! Theres also a laundry unit but they only take quarters so I sadly could not use. Still awesome that it's available though!! At will! The cafe was cute, delicious, and warm. The restaurant and was cozy and yummy. This whole place is so quaint and gorgeous just to walk around. This was easily one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had…read more Our group came in after a hike and was told a mandatory 20% gratuity would be added before we were even seated. We agreed to it. At the time, there were only two other tables in the restaurant. Then we sat for 20 minutes without anyone taking our order. No water, no greeting, nothing. When someone finally came over, they handed us a jug of water and walked away. When my friend politely mentioned that we'd been waiting 20 minutes, the waiter smiled and said "Can I take your order now?" No apology. No explanation. By the time our order was taken, the restaurant had started filling up. A large table seated after us was able to order almost immediately and received their food well before we did--even though they ordered some of the exact same items. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes for our food. When the food finally arrived, it wasn't worth the wait. The burgers were dry and the overall quality was mediocre at best. What made the experience even worse was the attitude from the staff. During and after our meal, staff members repeatedly side-eyed our table, exchanged looks, and snickered among themselves. It was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. Since we didn't understand the language they were speaking, we couldn't tell what was being said, but it certainly didn't feel welcoming. As I looked around the restaurant, I couldn't help but notice that our table was the only table full of Asians. I can't say for certain why we were treated so differently, but the combination of being ignored, watching other tables receive faster service, and the dismissive behavior from staff left a very bad impression. It was once the site of the park headquarters when Mount Rainier National Park was established in 1899. In this area is the Longmire Wilderness Information Center, National Park Inn, a gift shop and restrooms. Longmire is a nice area for a quick pit stop after entering the park. There is some Wi-Fi in the area, but it is a little spotty. The Longmire Museum building was built in 1916 and was the first location of the park's headquarters. Years later, it became a museum with exhibits and a mini bookstore. The Longmire Museum is a small building and opens daily all year round. The exhibits inside the museum tell the story of the early days of the park. There is also a park ranger on hand to answer any questions that you may have. I stopped here and appreciated the ranger giving me a few tips about the park. I then grabbed a few things from the gift store next door and headed to my next destination. Cougar Rock Campground and Christine Falls are a short drive away. There are a number of hiking trails in this area and some picnic tables if you want to hang out and relax here in Longmire.

A magical, soul-soothing escape…read more I can't say enough good things about my stay at Wellspring Spa. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I'd stepped into a hidden forest sanctuary. The land itself is breathtaking--towering trees, soft mossy trails, and peaceful stillness that invites you to breathe deeper and slow down. I spent hours wandering the hiking paths and felt like I was in another world. I stayed in the Tahoma cabin, and wow--it was cozy, peaceful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. (They must have updated them based on what I have read from previous posts!) Every detail in the space felt intentional and grounding. After a day of exploring, soaking in the outdoor hot tub with that stunning view of the trees was exactly what my body and mind needed. And the lofted sauna? Absolutely the coolest (and warmest!) little gem--such a unique and relaxing experience. What really made this place special, though, was the warmth and kindness of the staff. They were so welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about creating a healing experience for guests. Also: there's a sweet dog who wanders the grounds and melts your heart--truly the cherry on top. Wellspring isn't just a place to stay--it's a place to remember. I already can't wait to come back.

My friend and I drove out to pick some organic blueberries today at McFadden Family Farm, what a…read morenice place! The home, surrounding buildings/horse barn/chicken coop and fields were lovely. Flowers everywhere and everything neat as a pin! The nice man handed us buckets and sent us out to the part of the field that had not be picked over the weekend. The berries were big and sweet, we picked what we wanted as we moved from bush to bush. One of the nice things is the bushes are fairly tall and we did not have to stoop to pick them. The grass is well trimmed and easy to walk through. When we were done, he had assorted sized boxes to take our berries home in. $3.00lb. is a great price for U-pick organic blueberries! We will be back!

The communication from the hotel from booking to checkin was on point. We reached late in the evening and were able to find the room keys in an envelope with my name on it. It had all the information and instructions related to the room and hotel. The room was clean and was as described. Also, the room had more than enough supplies (towels, shampoo, blankets, pillows etc). The area around the hotel is also good. There is a fish pond near the rooms. One of the managers saw my kids watching the fish and generously offered some fish food for them to feed the fish. Will definitely stay here again if back in the area.

We stayed in the Raven Cabin and it was extremely clean and we felt very safe. Other than when we checked in, we didn't see any other guests the entire time we were there. The grounds are beautiful, the cabin was super cute and it was SO serene. The only suggestions I have are there wasn't any place really to unpack anything. Maybe put some drawers into the bed frame or find a place for a small dresser or even some shelves. The other suggestion is to update the microwave. It is super old and didn't have much power. These are just suggestions and they are minor, they would not deter us from coming back. Thank you for a much needed awesome anniversary getaway. We will definitely be back!
