Great people that do a great job…read more I went and saw "The Drunkard". This was my first visit and was welcomed with open arms. The volunteers and staff were very easy to talk with and very warm. It is a very different experience from the big theatre companies of Dallas, Houston, Vegas, Sacramento and such. It is a small house and all of the thespians are more than friendly. This is not a small time production company just because it is in a smaller venue. At the end of the show all of the cast and crew were easily accessible for autographs and general dialogue. Parking is a first come first serve and so is seating. In saying that, neither are an issue.

You can call ahead to reserve tickets, purchase in advance, or purchase at the door. There are light refreshments for purchase such as sodas, coffee, chips, and candy. The seats are spacious with ample leg room, the view is great no matter where your seat is, and the staff is very courteous and accommodating. I highly recommend this stop to everyone!

I believe most of its usage is usually musical artists and small intimate concerts, but I was here to see a play. Specifically, I was watching "A Christmas Carol", a work I have always been fond of for my entire life. This was a special one hour adaptation of the play, written by Dr Andrew Harris. We did not come to McKinney specifically to see the play, but while we were there we were looking for a particular bookstore. Tiny Tim was outside the Performing Arts Center drumming up people to come in and watch the play when my wife asked him (really her) where we would find the bookstore. When we got to the bookstore, wouldn't you know, there was Dr Harris, doing an Author/Writer visit. How could we not take that as a sign and attend the play! Glad we did, it was a great experience!

After appearing on and doing well on the 14 Season of American idol, she's worked hard getting her musical career up to speed.
