Toiture JFD recently redid our Montreal-Ouest roof, a complex job with many dormers, ridges and…read morevalleys. They did an outstanding job, always kept us informed of what they were doing, and cleaned up the site daily. But what really impressed us was the advice they gave us on a second job on a chalet in the country whose roof had suddenly started to leak. I was sure we would need not only new shingles but major work on the roof deck. They drove up to have a look on the same day I told them about the leak and got back to me within hours. JFD told us the shingles and deck were in fine shape and the water was probably coming in from a loose or missing roofing nail. Even though the chalet is not where they normally take on work, they said they would fix the leak and change the ventilation grills to boot. All in all, a very satisfactory experience!

I had Ménage Total in last week to clean the main space of my apartment (no bedrooms) and the…read morebathroom, and clean inside my double oven. The pros: they were generally quite thorough, extremely friendly and polite, brought most of their own supplies. The cons: when I made the appointment, I was told they would arrive "around" 10am, and I was called by the cleaners the evening before to say they would be here at 10:30am, which was fine, but they arrived at nearly 11am. I asked them to clean both ovens (top and bottom) and the bottom one was still quite dirty. They missed an entire section of my counter top, in a corner, and I asked them to dust the cobwebs around the ceiling, but it seems like they only did the corners, as there were still webs around the light fixtures. They also took a couple of dirty dishes out of the sink and left them on the counter, rather than put them back in the sink. They told me I could pay by interac, but was informed once they were done that it would be e-interac, which can take some time for the app to send the transfer, so they waited around for their employer to give them the ok to leave, which seems inconvenient for the cleaners. All in all, I was happy with the job they did.

TERRIBLE AVOID!!!!!!! DO NOT BOOK…read more I hired this company for a move-in clean, expecting a fresh start in my new place--and instead was left with a mess. There was visible dirt on kitchen cabinet handles, grime in the sink, the bathroom shower was dirty, and the floors were so filthy my feet turned black after walking on them. They clearly did not clean the floors at all and skipped entire areas of the home. Even worse, they used the wrong cleaning products, which left surfaces looking dull and still dirty. When I asked them to come back and fix it, they showed up argumentative and defensive, claiming they had done everything properly. When I pointed out the dirt, they just shrugged. This company is unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely lacking in accountability. If you want your home actually clean--and to be treated with basic courtesy--DO NOT CALL THEM!
