We stayed for two nights and had a pleasant stay. The beds were comfy with a nice soft feel, and the TV and AC worked well. The staff here are great! The gentleman at the breakfast counter was really friendly serving us quickly and doing it with a big smile. The only problem we had was that the fan in the bathroom was super loud, rattling like crazy.

Always nice stay, very nice staff and interior. Just wish the place got detailed a bit more. It was dusty (furniture by the AC) and bathroom faucet wasn't checked.

Excellent food provided by Marriott's Head Chef. I would come here for dinner if it were an option.

EVENT REVIEW I recently attended a wedding event at this Courtyards location and I just had to share my experience. Once upon a time we exclusively used Courtyard by Marriott for all of our hotel travel needs. Although it's been years since we've done an overnight stay, I remember how much we always enjoyed breakfast. So it didn't surprise me that the food prepared for the wedding by the hotel chef was good. However, it did surprise me that it was so good I would easily be a regular here for dinner if they were a restaurant. GREAT VENUE If you are considering a venue for a wedding or corporate function and food taste/quality is important, this location should be high on your list. We were served a garden salad, rolls, amazing green bean w/almonds, delicious butter noodles, the best garlic mashed red potatoes I've ever tasted and really delicious sliced ham. If that were the entire meal I would have been completely happy, however the final item on the menu was chicken alfredo and it was Uuuh-Ma-Zing. It honestly makes no sense to me that this incredible chef creates meals like this in a chain hotel. I was blown away by his excellent cooking and I am pretty confident that I'm not over-hyping the food. I will admit I had fairly low expectations, but even if they were high they would have been exceeded. The wedding consisted of about 70 guests and ran smoothly (in my opinion) using the in-house events coordinator. There were a few discrepancies between the bride and the event coordinator concerning things promised, so my advice would be to get everything in writing prior to committing to this venue... which only makes sense. THE VERDICT Great location for small event planning. Yelp100[79]

Eh. The Hilton garden inn next door is better. The pool was mediocre. No towels. Room had trash cans but no liners. Cup lids with no cups.

They had water and a cookie tray out at check-in with the coffee makers out all day. The breakfast was also decent (standards like eggs, sausage, pancake maker, oatmeal, bagels, etc.) so you need not worry about spending money to go out for breakfast. Plenty of dinner options nearby in a short drive or walking distance. The price was also pretty reasonable and was centrally located to my needs. If I am back in the area, I would definitely return to this Holiday Inn.

She was wearing a pin that prompted me to ask. I had a King suite and the room was super clean and sizeable. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in. Likely due to the friendliness and smiling face and attention to detail of Maria, one of their housekeeping associates. I had the free breakfast on my check out date this morning and it was a pretty nice selection of fresh menu items from bagels, toast, yogurts, milk, meats, eggs, hashbrowns, fresh fruit, oatmeal, juices and coffees. I requested late check out the morning of, just needed an extra half hour to finish up a meeting, and Caleb at the front desk did not hesitate to accommodate me. He was friendly, personable and engaging when I checked out and that goes a long way, especially since I also come from a customer-service industry. On another note, tons of restaurants and shopping in the area, and if you're coming from out of the area, this is only 30 minutes from Clearwater and local beaches and a short 45 from St Pete/Madeira/Johns Pass/Treasure Island. Go have dinner at Mystic Fish. AMAZING seafood. I will definitely stay here again, and this particular IHG hotel will be my #1 choice when I return to the area.

They have an identity crisis. They want to be a premier resort and spa, but the facilities just don't support it. They could play up the historic side, but the renovations, remodels, and upgrades don't support that. The locations and grounds are great! On the water, beautifully maintained grounds. The main restaurant offers a typically hotel menu, but with so many restaurants in walking distance the competition is rough. There really is no organic, clean, vegetarian, healthy menu you find at most premier resort spas. The spa itself hasn't changed since my last visit, and when viewed through the nostalgic lens, feels much better. The spa treatments and techs are still amazing. Actually, I recognized several employees across the resort and spa from a couple years ago. The people you interact with are great and customer focused. It's the people you don't see or interact with that bring the place down. The repair men, the remodelers, building maintenance - they just do poor work. Every toilet I flushed would drip from the bottom of the tank when flushed. Poorly patched and painted wall damage, elevators with gouges and scratches all through the inside. Two side by side light switches, but the left one controls the right side of the bathroom, the right switch controls the left. The wall plate is crooked with an unpatched space under it. It's the little annoyances, the lack of attention to details that hold this place back. My updated balcony room was great overall and just what I hoped for. They still double charge for resort amenities and they still are the nicest resort and spa in Safety Harbor.

It needs a total facelift. First, I am only reviewing the spa not the hotel rooms. A fresh coat of paint doesn't rid the facility of the damp smell. The ladies locker room had a lingering sewage smell that persists more than any other part of the spa. Great attention HAS been paid to the caulk and tile, things were spotless, but the smell...puzzling. The towels are thin and old, they need to be replaced. Pretty sure we're using really old robes too, they are dingy and not white anymore. The furniture in the ladies lounge is 40 year old wicker, unchanged since I first visited in the early 90's. This place is falling apart. A spa lounge should be sanctuary-like. These have a doctors office feel with upright wood frame chairs with old upholstery. Some soft chaise lounges, soft music, and eucalyptus diffusers would go a long way to enhance the environment. The surfaces of the co-ed hot tubs are so sharp it is painful to step and sit inside. Folks, call one of the 100 Tampa Bay pool companies and resurface these ancient relics. Also, they boast spring fed pools however, they are using so much chlorine in the indoor spa and pools that it burns the throat and the eyes. I had a rough Swedish style massage from Maurice whom I would not choose again. My daughter had a wonderful massage by a female therapist. The food at the pool Tiki Bar was the best part of the day. Fresh salads and grilled chicken and burgers were to everyone's liking. The chef at the poolside was on point! Great bar staff also, Winston was friendly and kind. This location, the historic main hotel and the property make this a special place, maybe Wyndham is just getting started here?

Whether it's pricing, cleanliness, customer service or location, I have nothing but good things to say. Consistency is key with anything & I can confidently say I've had nothing but good experiences in all the times I've stayed here. Most importantly, this hotel is clean. Whether it's the lobby, hallways, rooms or any of the common areas, it always seems tidy. House keeping does a great job at tending to the rooms, making sure the place is kept spotless. Of course, there's been times where I've had to wipe a countertop off that got overlooked, but generally speaking, they're on it here. They're also in a great location when it comes to visiting from out of town. They're less than 5 minutes from Honeymoon Island State Park, 10 minutes from downtown Dunedin & they're surrounded by delicious restaurants. In fact, they practically share a parking lot with one of the best seafood joints in all of Clearwater. You get free parking here, there's a nice pool, the gym is solid (but currently being renovated) & they have a pretty good complimentary breakfast. Coffee & hot tea is offered in the lobby 24/7. Honors members also get 2 bottles of water upon check-in which is always one of my favorite freebies. Overall, this hotel makes visiting a treat every time. The incredibly comfortable beds, quiet surroundings & nice staff are all you could ask for when traveling.

We won't stay here again…read more The photos look nice and, in general, it's okay. Here's what you should know: There is still musty carpet in the rooms. The A/C takes hours to cool the room down. There was a loud leak behind the walls in our bathroom. The toilet was not sealed to the ground so it rocked if you sat on it. The A/C had a loud constant rattle when it was on. The bathroom had no fan so anyone in the room can hear you using the bathroom. It also had no dimmable or soft light options so if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night you only have a bright light to turn on. If you look over the balcony you can see the rectangular pool, but when you sit on the chairs you only see townhouses across the street. If you can overlook those things, then here are the positives: The bed was comfortable. There was a mini fridge. The parking garage was small, but well-lit & you must use your room key to use the elevator, which is a nice safety feature. The room doors have a peep hole, but you also get a peephole cover so no one can look into your room. Once the room was cooled, it was nice to rest on their comfy bed. They have breakfast & a little shopette. Here is why we won't stay here again: The manager never called me about our terrible last night's stay. The last night of our stay, the next room over had a screaming kid & baby. All.night.long. I mean nonstop & it was impossible to sleep. By 3:30am we called the front desk & they said they would check on them. At 4am we called again because it didn't stop. I called & spoke with Kylie. She wasn't helpful & instead of apologizing or offering to move us, she only said "alright" before hanging up when I let her know that I would call back if it continues. When we shared our experience at the front desk the next day, the lady apologized, but that was it. I asked if they could do something for us, so she retrieved an older lady. That lady said that she can't offer anything but the general manager would be in on Monday & would call me then. Never received a call.

The hotel claimed they had called me to inform me of this in advance, but I have no missed calls or emails from them. When I spoke with the manager, Kelly, she stated that there was a note on the hotel website advising guests that the elevator was out of service--this was also not true. The hotel showed no concern that they left an 80-year-old and an 85-year-old couple, both with mobility limitations, without accommodations on New Year's Eve. They repeatedly said there was nothing they could do. To make matters worse, the manager, Kelly, was extremely unhelpful and even laughed during our conversation as I tried to find a solution for my grandparents, who also face a language barrier. Basically a mini suite with a kitchen complete with microwave, dishwasher, 2 burner induction stove top, coffee maker, refrigerator and stocked with utensils, plates, glasses, and pots and pans. It was very clean and offered so much more than we needed. King size bed was comfy and the desk was perfect to use for some work while there. The room doors are quite heavy, so you can hear when other people are entering or leaving their rooms if they allow the door to close on it's own. They also have a pool, gym, and convenience store on the first floor. In addition to the hotel being great, there are shopping plaza's all around with so many food choices. I'm gonna dive right into this review by saying that there are two main reasons that I chose to stay at Hilton hotels when I travel. 1) Great customer service. 2) Clean comfortable rooms that are modern and contemporary. Well, the Hilton Garden Inn in Oldsmar was lacking in both areas and I'm going to explain to you all why right now. Now my flight arrived in Tampa on the morning of the 25th at around eight thirty in the morning. So after picking up my rental car I drove straight over to the hotel where I was hoping to be able to do an early check in. By the time I reached the hotel it was already after ten. I didn't think I'd be able to check in that early being that check in time was not until three. So I took a nap in the car, which was very difficult to do being how hot it was very hot outside. Finally at around one I called the front desk to request an early check in. Please keep in mind that I have requested early check in's at Hilton hotels I've stayed at in the past and I have never been denied an early check in. Actually, Hilton staff have gone out of their way to accommodate me. But this was not the case at the Hilton Garden Inn in Oldsmar. So at about one o'clock I call the front desk and request an early check in. I politely explain that I have an important meeting that I need to attend therefore my need to check in early. The lady that answered the phone didn't seem to care one bit. There was no "I'm so sorry sir but...." Instead it was simply that they couldn't and I could call back later if I wanted. So I waited about a half an hour and tried calling again. Same kind of a response. At a little after two I get out of my rental car and walk into the front lobby. Standing behind the desk is a younger African-American woman with a look on her face that wanted to say, "what the f*** do you want?" Real welcoming right? No smiles or "how are you today sir?" Nothing like that at all. Being that she was not wearing a proper name tag, I'll just refer to her in this review as Ms. Personality. So I tell Ms. Personality that I needed to request an early check in and explained my situation to her. The only response I got was that there were no rooms ready at this time and to check back later. As I previously mentioned, I have requested early check in's in the past and Hilton staff have always gone out of their way to accommodate me. For example, when I stayed at the Hampton Inn over in Largo, the nice lady at the front desk wasted no time in calling house keeping to inform them that there was a guest(me) that needed to check in right now and for them to get my room ready ASAP. Why couldn't Ms. Personality at the Hilton Garden Inn in Oldsmar of done that? Finally I am able to check into my room. By this point it was almost three and I knew I was going to be late for my meeting. I just accepted it for what it was and went up to my room. The room itself was clean. However, it was a bit smaller than what I've come to expect. But it was just me so no biggie there. However, there was no complementary bottles of water. This irritated me as I was thirsty. I guess I could've asked Ms. Personality down at the front desk for some water. But at the same time I guess I could also ask, why didn't she offer me any bottled water like staff normally do when you check into a Hilton hotel? Plus there were no USB outlets in the room. Now you all may be wondering why I am even bringing this up. Well, like I mentioned earlier, one of the things that I really like about Hilton hotels is their rooms are modern and contemporary. I would not call a room with no USB outlets modern or contemporary. I wouldn't call it ghetto. But it is a bit behind the times. Come on hotel management. Update your rooms. Upon my arrival I would learn that the hotel's bar was only open Monday thru Wednesday from five to nine in the evening. I found this to be quite disappointing being that part of the reason that I chose this hotel was because they had a full bar on site. What kind of a bar only stays open Monday thru Wednesday? Is there a shortage of bartenders in the Tampa-St. Petersburg metro area? So I think I am going to wrap this review up by saying that because of the lack of good service at this hotel, I had to sleep in a hot car causing me to sweat my rear off, and be late for a very important meeting. I hope that if management at the Hilton Garden Inn in Oldsmar is reading this that they take this information that I have provided and make an honest effort to implement some positive changes so that guests will not have to experience the lack of good service that I have come to expect from Hilton. Thank you for your time in reading this. Until next time may the hotel staff be friendly and the rooms have USB outlets. Happy trails. NASTY NATHANIAL
