Booked this hotel due to its proximity to an attended event and we dropped the ball by not reading reviews prior to travel. The intermittent nearly non functional internet did not kick in until well after midnight wich made working difficult and delayed our getting to sleep. In addition, lumpy pillows, empty shower amenities canisters, and less than gracious staff created an unwelcome vibe - not what one looks for in a hospitality venue as a Titanium level Bonvoy member. One benefit was the blackout curtains that completely covered the windows to block out 100% of the light. One hit for 5 at bats is not good enough for baseball or for us - we won't be back. read more

Not safe. Bad enough that the Lyft driver couldn't find it. That should have been our clue to just ... keep driving"... Checked in around 10:30pm. Told the gal at the desk that we would only be here a few hours due to flight cancellation and had to leave by 3:30am. Clearly we appeared tired and ready for our room. She didn't acknowledge it. That's fine. Honestly, I'm not looking for attention. But when she then proceeded to tell me about "breakfast is 6-9am, lobby snacks available, etc... " it was then that I realized she actually had zero interest in my patronage or my experience. At 12:30pm, the fire alarm goes off. I stay in hotels a lot... and when this has happened in the past, a quick phone call downstairs tells me whether or not to leave. No answer. So we do what we are supposed to and leave. Guests evacuated. We are all standing in the parking lot. No employees. Anywhere. No fire department. Anywhere. I go back inside to try to find someone. I walk behind the front desk. I go to the back offices. I'm walking through... yelling, "HELLO?!?!? IS ANYONE HERE? HELLO?" No response. No one. Sirens keep blarring. I go back outside. No hotel staff. No fire department. Everyone standing around... Was this a crime scene now? I call 911. Finally, fire department shows up (1 truck)... They go inside and do the same thing. Look around the office. Yell for someone... anyone... One of them comes back outside and gets on the phone. Then he goes back inside. Sirens still blasting. Marriott employees ... no where to be found. A few mins later the fire chief comes back outside and says we can all go back inside. A few people immediately get in line at the desk (probably forgot to take their keys). Now some employee has appeared. This is a different woman than the one who checked us in less than 2 hours ago. She has a huge smile on her face like she's greeting a parade crowd... No explanation. No concern. Absolutely no acknowledgement that anything had just happened as all guests file past her. What a horrible experience. I was here for 5 hours due to a flight cancellation. As a guest of the Marriott properties for decades - across the USA and Europe with a very high elite status, I know Marriott properties. I cannot understand how this one is allowed to carry the brand name. Where the hell was she? Was ANYONE? Why are there no employees ANYWHERE in the hotel in the middle of the night?? Not safe. Terrible experience here - please stay somewhere else! We checked into our room with our 3 year old and was informed at the front desk that our room was next to the restaurant and that they would be having loud, live music until 10pm. Our daughter goes to bed, like most toddlers, early (try 7) not 10pm. He said it was the only room available. It got worse from there. What wasn't disclosed is not only were we next to the restaurant, we shared a wall and our only window was also the restaurant window, which looked directly INTO the restaurant (and vice versa) . Also, it wasn't just a restaurant, it was a BAR, a particularly rowdy bar, with lots of woops & drunk girls yelling across it till 2am in the morning. When checking out the next morning (thank god) we told the lady at the front desk about our experience with the room and she just said and I quote "my manager is aware. She gets complaints about it all the time" And that was it. No "I'm sorry" NOTHING. Even went we pushed it a little further and said if that's the case, the room should definitely never be rented out, she just shrugged her shoulders. The real kicker, we paid over $300 to stay in this room for one night. Afterwards I found another review on here from 8 YEARS AGO with someone who rented this room and had our EXACT same experience. How do you rent a room for almost a decade knowing people have such a horrible experience? That tells me everything I need to know about this place and I will never be back. read more

It's convenient to the Country Club next door which hosts events but the manager is so grumpy and the place filthy. The price went from $120 to $360/night for the weekend. What started out disappointing turned out to be a decent stay. I booked our room for my cousins wedding months before. I worked directly with an agent to understand the sleeping arrangements. It was booked is a queen suite so we could be in the building with the other wedding guests but would have 2 queen beds and a couch bed. When we arrived they said our room wasn't ready less than an hour before the wedding and they down graded us because they over sold the wedding rate. After being a Marriott rewards member since the program first started I was disgusted and very irate. I asked for the on-site manager. When they reviewed my book and saw how many months out I booked they immediately put me back into the room I had booked and it was amazingly it was ready. The room was lovely but the service was terrible. They helped me and screwed the people who checked in right before me, also wedding quests and the family after us too. Later that night a family came down for bedding for their pull out couch and the hotel gave them 1 sheet, 1 blanket and one pillow and told them that was the last pillow they had. All I can say is that the hotel was clean and quiet and attached to the venue so that was worth it. I can tell you I would only recommend this hotel if you had to attend an event at the Springfield Country club. Definitely not a relaxing vacation spot. read more

The room was very nice. The fitted sheet did not fit the large mattresses and kept popping loose. The website shows a very nice pool and some kind of whirlpool or hot tub. When we arrived we were informed that the hotel had gotten rid of them. In the mornings they offer food that a lot of national chains serve for free. But you are charged for everything you order. After that first day we never ate breakfast there for our entire stay. They do have single wrapped chocolate chip cookies. We took one apiece they were pretty had so we didn't take another. read more

We had our wedding at Springfield Country Club because of the Marriott hotel attached. Unfortunately, they were the most stressful part of the entire wedding process. I first dealt with Laura C. who ignored my emails and phone calls. It would take 2-3 emails or calls for her to respond. Then I found she was not releasing the blocks of rooms for my guests, which made them get other hotels and have to provide their own transportation. When I called for a manager, I got another sales rep Rainin. She releases the rooms and agreed how "unprofessional" and "egregious" Laura was. I asked for one night of our presidential suite to be comped. After going back and forth, she said one night is comped. I asked for the bridal discount for the second night and she said I misunderstood and the room was not comped, even though I had the email where she told me it was. Then, I dealt with Michael who seemed to be the only one in the hotel who should be working in hospitality. But Michael was not working the weekend of my wedding, when everything else went wrong. Michael promised me a discounted price for both nights and for our suite to be serviced when the men left for the church at 1. We were overcharged for the room and the room was not serviced. There were no clean towels for me after the wedding and the bed was not made. The front desk workers are extremely rude and unprofessional. When my guest tried to check in at 4:15, they were told the rooms were on a first come first served basis, even though check in is at 4 pm and when they tried to check in early hours earlier, they were promised it would be ready. Natalie , the "manager", has never responded to my emails or calls. Which makes sense why her employees feel it's okay to ignore and be disrespectful to guest. It took 3 days and 4+ emails for the money to be refunded. Absolutely disgraceful. read more

1 out of 5 stars doesn't do this location justice. David Gyza has been the most unprofessional person we've ever worked with. We are currently two days before our wedding and have just found out half of our wedding block (who have been booked for months) have just been moved to a separate Marriott hotel 20 minutes away. I understand this stuff happens, but the happening to a wedding block less than 48 hours before the wedding when transportation has already been provided? Since dealing with David, this is one of many instances that have been awful including not allowing us early check in for care for an infant and also being the most inaccessible person. We have tried calling David at every point of the day of every day of the week and it's impossible to get in touch with. Especially when learning half your rooms have been surprisingly relocated. We've dealt with other somewhat friendly associates trying to cover for David, but once again David refuses to get in touch with us or respond to any of our calls. Just stayed here over the weekend for a conference at Swarthmore College and the front desk folks were very kind and helpful. We had shuttle service to Swarthmore and the driver was so accommodating and super nice! Even offered to take us back to the hotel during our lunch break if we wanted to take a break. Thank you so much! You made our busy conference weekend so easy. Stayed on the third floor and had no issues. They're renovating the 3rd floor but there were no issues. However, my air conditioner was making some loud alarm noise in the morning which was a minor thing. read more

Traveling for business, I always stay with Marriott. On top of being the level of comfort I seek, they are the preferred hotel for our corporation. I can't believe my experience, it's been terrible! First, I was informed the elevator was down and they had no clue when it would be repaired. Then I was informed my room would be on the second floor because they had already filled all the rooms on the first floor. Thinking the elevator would be fixed in 24 hours it was really no big deal. I went to swipe my credit card and was asked for a pin number. I asked the host if I just pressed enter to bypass and he said, "no, you need to call the number on the back of your card and get a pin number to use." I informed him that it was a corporate card and a pin was not available. Then I pressed enter and it went through just fine. His remark to me was "Oh, I guess you had a pin after all since it went through." Keep in mind the name plate on the desk said "Director of First Impressions." My room was not the cleanest, but tolerable. I was a little agitated that I was given a handicap room on top of everything else. Even more agitated when I discovered there was no pool, as advertised. When I returned to my room after the first day of my stay, I found that the housekeeper had rearranged my belongings that were in the room and my makeup in the bathroom. After the second day of stay, housekeeping had barely touched my room, and the elevator was still not repaired. I could've gotten the same level of service at a Red Roof Inn or Motel 6. read more

Courtyard is a mid-tier brand in the Marriott family and most of them are pretty consistent with the brand. It's focused for the business traveler rather than the family traveler, so there isn't a free breakfast and they do not have a concierge lounge. This is a nice property with lots of free parking. I was particularly pleased with the slow-closing doors into the hallway as one of my pet peeves is the inconsiderate people who slam their doors. Nice. As well, the exhaust fan in the (very nice) bathroom was quiet. Nice glassed-in shower with the usual Marriott accoutrements. Comfy fluffy towels, yay! Tip: Absolutely avoid the rooms that face out to the next door bar area. On warmer evenings, you can expect a lot of noise late into the night. Other than that restaurant, there is nothing within walking distance. read more

Really bad -- the staff here takes the position that there is no early check-in allowed. They will not permit anyone to check in prior to 3:30pm. In addition, we reached out to the staff multiple times for a do not disturb sign and luggage rack to be told we will get housekeeping to deliver and the items never came. Reading the other reviews, it seems this place has staffing issues that yield so many negative reviews The owners and Marriott really need to protect the investment here and change staff to a customer's first attitude. read more

They told us they had availability at a nearby hotel that was less than a mile away. So we booked that. It turns out the other hotel was over 2.5 miles away. Ok no big deal, we'll just cancel the room. They would not cancel the room for us and charged us full price. This was less than 24 hours later. read more

This place is fine if you want to stay overnight for a wedding next door. But that's it. This hotel still owes me over $600 because they double charged me. Since then I have gotten a voicemail saying it was settled. It was not settled. Trying to get them on the phone is terrible. I was on hold for over 30 minutes after 3 disconnects and after listening to their repeated phone message about how each customer is important to them, the person Trinea picks up and goes "oh were you still on hold?" She takes my info and tells me to call back, after I explained no one answers the phone. She said she has no idea about my reservation and doesn't know how to look it up, and said she doesn't know when the manager is in but they'll call or email me the next day. I received no contact. As for the hotel, the first room we were in was awful. The air conditioner sounded like a school bus idling in the room. I had 2 reservations because I decided to come a day earlier. They assured me I could keep the same room. The next morning they're telling me I have to leave, even though everything was cleared at the front desk. They apologized, but do you really want to have someone banging on the door telling you to leave when you still have a few more nights? I took that opportunity to ask to change rooms, they said they had plenty. Then they said they had none. Then they said they have a lower quality room even though I already paid for the room I wanted in advance. They finally were able to switch rooms from the ground floor noisy air conditioning one to an actual room we can sleep in, but around 10pm. Because I paid in advance, they still charged me. I just called right now, there's no answer. This hotel will straight up charge you for things, tell you they didn't, tell you they'll refund you and here I am a month later and still can't get anyone to answer the phone there. Over $600. I stayed there in August and I'm still dealing with this. They said they had no record of me even staying there. I have the bills, the charges, everything, but they are just there to overcharge you and then deny it. Stay anywhere else. They straight up steal from you here. My employer has an account here and it is not my choice to stay here. I have been a Marriott customer for both business and personal travel for over 20 years and logged many, many stays at Marriott properties. This is by far the worst facility that I've ever encountered. I have found on my most recent stays diarrhea in the toilet upon checking in late at night, blood on the bathroom floor, dirty carpeted floors. This time around I encountered policy which requires guests to request room be cleaned or they will not clean for the length of your stay. I requested housekeeping services for the length of my 4 day stay. Of course it did not happen. Room only cleaned once. Guests were required to wear masks while outside of their rooms. No problem with that except housekeeping staff did not do so as well. Not in hallways, elevators. Food counter service was unattended. At one point I had to knock on kitchen door and open it to get staff out to help. Staff had headphones on and was streaming some entertainment. The guest tables were dirty, floor not clean. I guess these folks think COVID is completely over so no need to clean. If I had stayed at this property earlier in my career I never would have demonstrated the loyalty I've had to Marriott. This is the worst property I've ever encountered. I hate staying there and I hope to convince my employer to take their business elsewhere. read more

I'm not typically a fan of Marriott Courtyards, but when I needed a hotel at the last minute due to attending a funeral anything would do. I noticed this Courtyard happened to be attached to the country club where they were holding a celebration of life following mass...and so I booked it! $200/night seemed a bit expensive for a Courtyard in the Philly burbs, but you can't put a price on convenience. Overall, the hotel was fine. The staff was friendly enough, the room was comfortable enough and even spacious enough for 2 since my colleague and I opted to share a room. We weren't in the hotel very long, but got a bit of sleep, a quck workout in the adequate hotel gym and a coffee downstairs. There's a restaurant attached to the hotel as well, but we weren't there long enough for a meal. If visiting Philly for fun I"d opt to stay downtown. If I had to be in the Springfield area again I probalby would look for other options, but this was A-Ok for what I needed. read more

First room the television didn't work and the second room they gave me had a heating system that sounded like there was a lawn mower running in the room... I got married on November 4th and we had rooms booked months in advance. When I first booked our rooms i asked for 2 rooms joint together so I was able to have space for my hair/make up artists. When i checked in on friday i was not given that so I told them to drop the other room and I will use one. Morning of as my hair stylists were setting up in room 1009 we lost power so I asked if we could move into another room 1008. They put me in one. Hours passed and I received a call from a woman named "Takyria" who was working front desk and she demanded I needed to "get out of the room I am in" I told her "Sorry but I am getting married today and I am half way into my make up/hair I will not be leaving this room until I am done. She then proceeded to tell me to not speak to her that way and she will have me escorted out of the hotel room. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had people visiting that went to the front desk to ask where they are suppose to go and she was completely rude. I am disgusted to say the least. She is not an asset to your company, due to her unprofessionalism in dealing with guests. read more

BEDBUG ALERT. This place is disgusting and the experience I've had with management it even worst. I was there for business and stayed for one night Thursday 10/11/2017. I am an elite Marriott Rewards member and was upgraded to the hospitality suite. I was bitten by bedbugs over 30 times all over my body which is signs of a serious infestation not one or two bedbugs. The hotel manager has treated me incredibly poorly and even had the nerve to claim that they inspected the room and there's nothing wrong. On top of them having the bedbugs which I don't know how the hell that can go unnoticed specially in one of their more expensive Suites, they are lying covering it up and the suite is still available to be booked for their next victim. Not even in a Motel 6 would I expect to be treated the way that Marrioft is ignoring the situation. I called corporate and they are not being helpful at all and I just called the hotel and they claim they have no manager on duty to speak with me. What a gem. Avoid at all costs. Good place if you plan to crash here for a work trip. I stayed at this hotel for my last work trip. It was quite which was nice. My bed was comfortable. Laundry is available on the ground floor. There is a pool. I would recommend stocking water bottles in the fridge for guests, this way they won't have to go downstairs to the reception station in the middle of the night for some water. Woman who worked at the coffee shop (time 6:15 am) was very nice. When she saw my ride had arrived and I was in the middle of checking out she came out and handed me my coffee. She didn't have to do that but she did. That was very sweet. read more

Marriott are our "go to" hotel. NOT THIS ONE!!! We should have known when we arrived. There were 4 pilots trying to check in. One pilot told us "this is a cluster f.ck." We had booked a room with a king bed and a pull out bed. When we arrived we got a king bed. We went back downstairs to have the young lady at the desk tell us "when you book a room, you don't get to pick what's in it." What? We pay more so our child has a bed of her own, what a load of crap! As platinum members of Marriott, I think we know how to book a room, and the reservation clearly stated a king and pull out. She could not accommodate our requests, even though we'd payed for it. We asked for a cot. You think that would be easy, right? After requesting it and going down stairs to retrieve it ourselves. It finally arrived 1.30 mins after we checked in. Usually that's not an issue. It is when it's 12.30 am and your child is waiting to go to bed, it's an issue. In the Marriott book in our room, it clearly stated there was a shuttle to the airport starting at 6am. When we asked for the shuttle, we were told the shuttle does local areas 5-6 miles. But not the airport...7 miles. Okay, are you joking? Yes the web site did say they do not have a shuttle. Conflict in what you state does not help! Don't bother staying here. Next time we'll stay at another named hotel that may appreciate our business. read more

I am currently so furious with these numbskulls that I made a Yelp account just to yell about them. So, our situation was that we needed to have our floors redone after some water damage and needed to vacate for the duration. The insurance company covered everything, including the hotel stay. This was the only hotel nearby with availability for the entire time. They only had a suite left, which I was fine with since I little space between parents and children when you're stuck in a hotel room for a week is nice. The insurance agreed to cover it and we were off to the races. Unfortunately, the "suite" was the brain child of a design committee made up entirely of high school drop outs. But that isn't what I'm here to complain about. I'm here to complain about is actually pretty common, the travel accommodations people provided their credit card for the room and then I provided my card for incidentals on arrival. This is a very common practice I've done for one reason or another across the US and Europe and no one at any hotel has ever gotten themselves confused by it. In retrospect, I should have realized there was a problem when they took almost 30 minutes to check me out. Turns out, they were very carefully expunging the travel accommodations' card from their system so they could charge mine. They brought in three employees including a manager to do this, none of whom told me a thing or realized that this was an Olympics level act of stupidity for anyone in the hospitality industry. So: the room was not a suite, just billed that way, but was a single room with no divider and an asthmatic Keurig machine, and then they very carefully and with great fanfare billed the wrong card. So, the room sucked and the staff was actively incompetent. Followup: They apparently fixed the problem without talking to me, so I was only out my money for a week while the banks figured themselves out. I don't know whether all that nonsense was them fixing the problem and not bothering to tell me or if they realized their mistake later and fixed it then. On Saturday, 2 June, a friend and I drove from Virginia to visit friends of mine from Texas in Philly. The check-in here was pleasant and the front desk staff were very accommodating although we checked in at around 11pm. My issue was with check out. I requested a late check out and was informed that late check out was 11am. Okay, no problem. The following day, I rushed to meet my friends for breakfast in the city at 9:30am, leaving my friend in the room. I figured I could leave at 9 and have at least an hour for breakfast and be back in time for check out. Unfortunately things did not go as planned. My friends hot water was out in their air bnb, so they were not ready on time as they waited for the owner to come and fix it. We ended up not getting to breakfast until around 10:15, and I ended up ordering and taking my food to go. At around 10:45, my friend who stayed behind called me to tell me that the front desk was calling her to leave the room. When I called the front desk, I advised them that I would be there in no more than an hour. I was then told that the manager was at the room letting my friend know that she had to leave. I am already rushing back, having to make a 20-min walk back to my car because neither my uber or Lyft accounts would allow me to order a ride for some reason. Get to the garage of the air bnb and my friends gave me the wrong code and getting a hold of them took another few mins. Drive back to the hotel in a bit of traffic, arriving to the hotel shortly after noon to see my friend in the lobby with all of my things packed which she ended up throwing into my suitcase due to the rush. As we were about to leave, she told me that the manager came to the door and told her she needed to wait for me in the lobby to which my friend replied she needed a few minutes. She told me that the manager told her that she had 2 mins and held the door open the entire time while she packed our things. I have never been treated so badly at a hotel and experienced such rude customer service. When I called to advise the front desk that I would arrive in less than an hour and offered to pay for another day I was told that the hotel was completely booked and that they could not allow me to extend. That was not true, I was able to go online to see that there were rooms available that I could have booked, however, I was not willing to stay at this establishment for one more night. My friend works for Marriott and he advised me to find out if the this establishment was marriott or franchise owned. I learned that this establishment is a franchise, and my friend replied that makes sense because a marriott-owned hotel would not have treated their guests this way. He also told me that there are no managers on the weekends and to go bavk inside to speak with the operations manager, as I was told that is who kicked my friend out of the room. When I went back inside, the "operations manager" was in the back office on a business call. I waited for 20 mins and she never came out to speak with me, I never met her, I do not even have her name. I grabbed all of the cards for the key personnel and intend on writing corporate in reference to this situation. I was not asking for a freebie, or an extension of more time without paying. My friend and I were treated as if we were problem guests and that was not the case. We arrived from out of town late, and my friend told me that she was sleeping when the knock came on the door for her to leave. A little common courtesy and professionalism would have been nice, seeing that a string of unplanned events caused my late return to this establishment. I did not understand the circumstances surrounding the extreme manner the staff went through to remove my friend and I from this room, as if we were there for a much longer period of time and it was getting extremely close to check in. I have stayed in many Marriott hotels and have never been treated this way. I do not want to use the race card here, but I can't help but wonder if that had something to do with it. I caution anyone that intends on staying here to maybe look elsewhere (I should have taken the other 1-star reviews into consideration). Being kicked out, having a manager hold the door open while you pack you and your friend's belongings, is just not a pleasant way to end a trip. UPDATE 8 JUN: I received no response to my e-mail from the key personnel at this location and after 5 business days I still have not received my security deposit. I contacted the corporate office who advised that the e-mail that was sent to the facility should have been forwarded to the main office but it had not been sent there. I ended up sending the e-mail directly to corporate and should be receiving a phone call in 3-5 business days. read more

Stayed here for business travel. It's close to work, and there is no fee for parking - which is nice this close to Philadelphia. It's 3 stories, well, 2 floors of rooms, with one elevator. I feel like it attracts regular business travelers who prefer to not stay in downtown Philly - and to perhaps avoid the $50 a night parking fees that come with those hotels. The front desk staff was friendly, and there's a busy restaurant next door that has live music most nights, and lots of patio seating. It seems to attract quite a regular crowd. I'd probably stay again, but have booked something in the city for my next trip, because why not mix it up? read more

My wife and I stayed 2 nights. Although this was clean and new the experience and service was terrible. I gave numerous opportunities to correct (2-days' worth) but they were not taken nor did the staff ever really listen. We had a very noisy room sounded like I was near the engine room of a big ship; you could hear the noise through the pillow and it made a trap door in the bathroom vibrate. I told staff & they did nothing nor offered any remedy. The Bistro looked nice. Service was terrible. 20 minutes to order & add'l 10 to get 2 coffees & choco chip muffin. I was given blueberry instead... that was stale. If I want overpriced at least it could be something other than microwave sandwiches and Starbuck's. I mean, come on people! If this place hired one person who could cook to replace the three morons they would be classy and have some quality food. But instead they use a microwave and prepackaged food that reminded me of the 7-11. GROSS! Then there is the billing nightmare... I was overcharged on the bill $360. When I called to correct I was charged add'l $185. I was assured that this was corrected & that they called card company to make sure credit went through. When I received no notification from my card company I called to find there was no credit issued nor contact from the hotel. This place has the worst possible customer service around! Lies, Bad Service, & Unauthorized Charges days after I left. If you do stay here check you credit card statement carefully. I would have given a half star but Yelp doesn't let you go that low. read more

I just stayed over one night for pleasure while attending a concert. Beautiful grounds. Very helpful staff. Would def stay here again. They do not offer breakfast but the rooms have a fridge and you can brew your own coffee/tea. Large bathroom and shower big enough for two. There's a restaurant attached for your convenience and you can charge it to your room. The hotel is also equipped with an indoor pool and a small cardio room. BTW: they also gave a extra perk by providing the staying guests a free shuttle to the Tower Theatre, not sure if they offer this all the time, but it was a great convenience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing to stay in the area. read more

At check in, was not greeted while standing 6' from Front Desk and ignored for nearly 2 minutes by both women (Rainin and Nia). Staff conversed with a male employee at length, then talked about the food in the refrigerator, then Rainin began slamming items on bookshelves behind desk to dust...all while I'm attempting to say hello, give my name and check in. Rainin then sprayed a 'fogger machine' all around us in the lobby -for COVID-19 mitigation, and even walked ahead of us and opened elevator to spray unknown fog mist into elevator (she blocked elevator passage from us as we were attempting to enter the elevator). Room was dirty, evidence of no cleaning on some surfaces. Items such as USB charger had fallen on floor between bed & nightstand which was dirty. Desk surface was dirty. Room 210 bed has bedbugs! We both woke up to multiple bites. Prior to check out asked for a 1 hour late check out to go to Easter Mass & return to change clothes as a Silver Elite member and was instantly given a very rude 'no, can't be done', by desk clerk lady who said room had to be cleaned, yet parking lot was 2/3rds empty from guests that had checked out and would allow for room cleaning to begin. Upon check out Rainin SCREAMED 6' from me as I was directly passing Front Desk, presumably to a woman clear across the lobby who was attempting to get a beverage at food concession area. I asked he if she was talking to me and she just screamed again very loudly at the woman clear across a 50' lobby area. Nia was professional enough upon check out to listen to our concerns, and provided a 1-800 number for us to share our concerns with corporate customer service at Marriott. I understand that this is a franchised-owned Marriott, and that this location has a large venue adjacent to bring hotel bookings, but nonetheless Marriott should be sensitive to the damage done to the 'Marriott brand' by such rude, obnoxious, uncaring and unprofessional franchise staff. read more

The hotel is new, clean and welcoming. The front desk staff when I checked in was fabulous. My stay is for 5 nights and after my first two nights I am looking forward to a great night sleep over the next 3 nights. The morning café staff was amazing, their service was quick and they were very professional. The only complaint I have is the evening café staff. I had to wait several minutes for someone to even come out from the back and greet me. After she noticed me standing in front of the register, she told me she would be with me in a few minutes. I finally walked away after I spent several minutes watching her enter her "tips" into the computer rather than take my order. The front desk staff was great at providing me with take out menus to order from instead. The front desk staff was great at correcting the problem. read more

Terrible!!!! Stayed here September 2016, they have a restaurant with blaring music and people dining LITERALLY 2 feet from our room!!! We called front desk at 11:00pm, who said the music would be turned off at 11:30. We waited until 12:15 and the manager said she would go speak to them to turn it off. They DJ didn't turn it off. We contacted the front desk again who said she couldn't disturb the owner at this time. She explained that the owner owns the country club next door and that she doesn't know why he would have a restaurant 2 feet from paying guests. She explained that this has happened before and that usually the owner just tells the DJ to turn it down! Unbelievable!!! read more

Beautiful hotel. It recently opened but by far the nicest Courtyard that I stayed at. All furniture is modernized and the staff was accommodating and friendly. Great placement, as there is a restaurant, gold course, skating rink next door and mall down the street. Great hotel for the area. The closest ones are located in the city. read more

My Marriott profile states that I want a room on a high floor, away from the elevator. Our room was on the second floor (not much they could do this is only a 3 story building) BUT it was between the elevator and the ice machine room. This hotel was accommodating a wedding party and guests the first night of our stay. They all had to be somewhere at the same time. The elevator fits about 8 people tops. We used the stairs but the ruckus outside the elevator all night was unpleasant. We ordered breakfast sandwiches at the Bistro on the second morning. The healthy breakfast sandwich was fine but the sandwich my husband ordered was fixed in the back. When we got to the room and he opened it the bread wasn't toasted, the cheese wasn't melted and it was overall just cold and bad. The bistro said we needed to pay at registration because their computer wasn't booted, the registration desk said we couldn't pay there. I didn't want to get charged twice. The manager did handle that situation well by comping it (luckily since that one sandwich was so bad). I reviewed my bill closely upon checking out because items are charged to rooms by just giving a room number with no name. I heard the wedding guests all charging a lot of beer, etc and didn't want to have erroneous charges (which I didn't). read more

My wife, myself, and our one year old daughter just moved to Philadelphia only to be badly let down by the company we were renting an apartment from. A stranger suggested this hotel as there is limited choice of decent places around this area. Having used the Marriott many times before we find them average, but choose them because of their no smoking policy. But this hotel stood head and shoulders above our other experiences. The rooms and public spaces were immaculate, granted its only a year old, but still it was fresh and well kept. The local is generally very quiet being situated next to a golf course. There is an Italian/American restaurant attached which was average to fair, pricey, but had an excellent outdoor bar. The facilities in the hotel are standard, the coffee (starbucks) was decent. The staff were excellent, we had to constantly extend our stay and they did their very best to accommodate us. Shanita (Sp?) could not have done more to help, offering to have my daughters bottles washed, asking if we needed milk for her. The driver took my wife to the train station each day for work. Everyone we met seemed to go that extra mile to make our stay as comfortable as it could be. Downsides? Well it does attract wedding parties and as the hotels small it can get busy at weekends. Even then Id highly recommend it, transports easy to the city, the airports less than 10miles away, and for the money its very good value compared to some of the run down joints youll find in the city. read more

My husband and I stayed here for a night after getting a flat tire on our way home from Philly to NYC. The night before, we stayed at a "4" star hotel in the city. I preferred the marriot much better. Even under the stress I felt relieved walking into a clean homey room with pleasing colors. Everything was spotless and the bathroom was well lit. I've stayed in this hotel before but never left a review. Courtyard is a pretty standard Marriott hotel so there isn't much variation between locations. The hotel gym is pretty average for Courtyard, but it at least faces the afternoon sun which is nice - they could always use more equipment. The Bistro in the morning can be hit or miss. The staff seems new and somewhat untrained - making the start of your day less than great when your breakfast is served incorrectly. All in all, I still plan to return when in need of a hotel in the area. read more

Great hotel! We traveled with our 2 years old grandson. They were very accommodating. Helpful, welcoming and friendly staff! I was worried because the previous reviews stated this hotel is more for business travel. The parking lot is free. We had a beautiful view of the golf course. Disappointed they no longer had the pool. We will definitely be back. Perfect location. The restaurant next door was very convenient. read more
