Office desk and television

Very clean hotel with a good location. Same useless pillows that all Marriotts seem to keep on hand, but they give you so many you can stack the pancake-pillows up until you have the right thickness. Cable lineup is missing AMC, so if you want to watch The Walking Dead you'll have to stream it on a device. Free WiFi was pretty good for Netflix. Exercise equipment consists of two treadmills, and elliptical, and some weights. There is a pool, but I didn't use it. Your room may come with the breakfast buffet, which is pretty good. Usually consisting of eggs, home fries, and either bacon or sausage. There are numerous cold options too and a waffle maker. The plumbing is a little quirky. Everything works but the toilet will sound like it's hiccuping with every flush. I've talked to others who have stayed here in different rooms and they've said the same thing. Not a big deal though.

Lamp in living area room 204

I stayed this hotel wall traveling on business on April 16, 2015. I was given room 204. The front desk clerk was friendly even though she talked way too fast, and unfortunately she did not understand me when I was asking her about the speeds of the Internet. When I finally did get her to understand she didn't know what the speeds were and didn't know whether or not the hotel offered a premium package for Internet or not only that it was "new". My room itself was quite nice walking up I could tell that parts of the hotel were little dated. They still have old-style locks to open the doors and the fixtures in the bathroom are little older but the room featured modern lamps and a newer TV. Speaking of the bathroom the real irritant there was the lighting and the noise from the vent. The lighting was just horrible it was, like old-style 60's's horror movie. It sort of blinked and was dim just not very appealing at all. And there's no way to turn off the loud vent, it's tied in with the light switch itself. The vanity area however has been redone with a new top and sink and the lighting is little better in this area. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable and it situated appropriately in the room. On the darkness scale with 10 being pitch black this places rated at about a nine. There are some curtain bleed and a little bit a door bleed, along with the typical alarm clock and microwave oven clock both of which you can cover with a towel. The TV is on a swivel mount directly over the desk and to compensate you not being able to watch TV at the desk they have a smaller desk that pulls out from underneath the other desk allowing you to extend yourself out enough to be able to view the TV. There are a couple of annoyances regarding this however, the mount itself is not a very good one and it doesn't allow for the TV is swing all the way out. This means that when you are laying in bed you are watching the TV on an angle. The desk chair however is quite comfortable. There's also an odd LED desk lamp which has a touch switch. I say odd mostly because I've never seen anything like it in any other hotel I've ever been to and it was so modern it didn't seem to fit with anything else in the room. The furniture that houses the microwave, coffeemaker and fridge is low to the ground. This of course means that the space for the refrigerator is quite small and as a result it's more like one of those little beverage fridges. You have to take the coffeemaker out of the shelf and place it up on the top shelf and ordered operated as well. The good news is that directly connected to it is a chest of drawers and the top of that can be used to unpack your suitcase which is quite nice. The bedside tables both have outlets and USB charging ports which is practically a requirement nowadays. I found the king-size bed to be extremely comfortable and they include five pillows of varying hardness which I like. This particular room also has a balcony, if you can call it that. You can't sit out there but you can certainly stand the view from room 204 is mostly parking lot with a couple of trees. On the day I was there it was sprinkling a little bit so was kind of nice but you will get wet if you stand out there and it's raining. This location is in close proximity to the college and several restaurants. A few of the restaurants you can get to by walking if need be. This place does not serve a free breakfast that they do have a bistro/bar with assorted offerings and a happy hour from 5 to 7 PM. I want to make special note of the housekeeping staff. It was raining the day I left and I had gotten out my rain jacket and placed it on the bed. In my haste of trying to get out of there and get to my business meeting, I had forgotten my jacket. When I leave a hotel room in order to signify that I have indeed left I always try to use the swingarm bar to hold the door open making it easier on the staff to get in and clean. This particular room is actually situated right down the hall from the housekeeping storage area and when I was leaving I said so to one of the staff. I walked out to my vehicle and was packing up my luggage when standing at the doorway was the housekeeper with my jacket in hand. Such nice service should be mentioned. As a side note room 204 is close to the stairwell and the left side parking area, however, you will need a key for entrance so plan accordingly. Now on to the best thing about this place, the wireless Internet. I was absolutely astonished to find out that the Internet speeds for the wireless at 6:10 PM tested at 43.2 X 37.38 Mb per second! That kind of speed is mind blowing for free Internet service.

Nice room. My mess.

Not the finest Courtyard around. These places usually offer 4-5 star treatment, but this one was lacking for some strange reason. No breakfast was provided and what they sold you was nothing to scream about. The rooms were the same as always. Prices seemed a little high for something far away from exciting Orlando.

So far so good. Clean, free WiFi, large flatscreen tv; nothing fancy, but a decent business travel hotel with a pleasant staff.

While I didn't take advantage of this, I observed many people ordering from this cafe/bar. Room: -Clean and spacious room/bathroom -Complimentary late checkout is available based on availability (you'd have to call the day of checkout to see if it's possible) -There was hardly any noise at night which was a very pleasant surprise considering the location Location: -This is located in a very central area, easy to access right off I-4 as well -The only thing to take note of is parking is $20/car per night. -My favorite part about my stay that is definitely worth mentioning: there is a complimentary shuttle (operates from 5p-11pm) that can take you anywhere downtown within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. Very handy when you want to stop by a cafe or restaurant that's nearby the hotel! I had such a great stay here, I would definitely consider returning for my next stay in Orlando and would highly recommend this for anyone looking to stay in the area!

The lobby also had a tiny cafe kiosk in the middle. This was a smart idea- all the food items came in from another place - so it didn't take up much space in the main area. My room was nice, if not a bit odd. The bed was comfy. But the room seemed lacking some basic furniture. There was a huge empty space across from the couch, with just a bare wall. And there was no drawers or anyplace to put our luggage on top of or to put our clothes into - especially not for a room with 2 queen beds in it. We literally dumped our suitcases on the ground in the empty space, across from the couch which looked at... nothing! The staff was very nice. Thank you!

To make the most of your time, it is ideal for one's hotel to be near the theme parks that can transform one's vacation from good to extraordinary. Conveniently located less than two miles from Universal Studios, shopping, dining, and adjacent to Interstate 4 Exit 74A in the Restaurant Row, my partner and I chose to stay at the Drury Inn & Suites on a busy West Sand Lake Road as first-timers and must say it will not be our last! Check-in was easy and stress-free. With 238 guestrooms and suites, our clean and spacious room was nice, and being at the very end of the hall on the upper floor, it was pretty quiet. Daily breakfast is offered to include scrambled eggs, sausage, make-your-own Belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, and more. They also have a 5:30 Kickback every evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to enjoy free dinnertime snacks and drinks; 3 alcoholic beverages are also included but optional. The staff were always nice and helpful. Please make sure to say hello to Miss Vickie in the mornings at the breakfast buffet. Free parking made getting around so much easier; other hotels charged. As a Universal Partner Hotel, they offer a free, scheduled shuttle to Universal Orlando Resort, which we used during our visit. Vacationers, if one's looking for an affordable accommodation with convenient amenities, look no further.

For the price, I would give it zero stars otherwise as rooms are in great need of updating in soundproofing. If anyone around you flushes a toilet or runs bathroom water you hear it and even in the living rooms you can hear all the traffic noise and the bedroom is closer than living room space. The bed and bathroom fixtures are updated and nice quick hot water. There is an area for coffee with microwave/refrigerator with a little countertop outside the bathroom to use which was nice. The air conditioner also works well. I wish they would modernize the couch sofa bed as it was awful feeling all the springs and made for a painful back/neck the next day. The breakfast is good but normal for free. Staff again in breakfast area was excellent. The parks are close so it's convenient but rest is imperative so if you're not a sound sleeper, I'd make a stay further out somewhere else for a good nights sleep.

The hotel is beautiful! Every detail is done with care. The rooms, restaurants, pool, lobby, etc are all gorgeous. The staff is friendly and attentive- other than the restaurants. The only issues I ever had were with the wait staff. The service was always very slow. Whether we were at breakfast, or having drinks at the bar late at night. It was consistently very slow service. Not once did the waitstaff ever come by to offer me more coffee at breakfast. So, for service I give 3 stars. However, the bartender at the pool was wonderful! She was very nice and attentive. The valets were all great! The front desk staff were all wonderful. It's really just the waitstaff in the restaurants that need to get better. We loved our room. We had a view of the pool. I did call downstairs to ask for a magnifying mirror and a weight scale. They said they didn't have either. Fortunately they called back and did in fact have a scale and brought it up to my room. I would hope a nice hotel like this would have magnified mirrors for the bathroom. The food and drinks in the restaurants were good. No complaints. The location is great. We walked to dinner and to the nearby lake Eola. There's plenty of things to do within walking distance. I would stay here again.

I visited for brunch. (It's been years) Most of the food is still good. There were only a handful of things that I didn't like. The breakfast potatoes were cold and just not good. They taste like fake food. I didn't like the breakfast link veggie sausages and the tomato bisque was too sweet. I'm sure those can be swapped for something way better. There was no utensil For the waffles. I forgot to ask for one but how come no one else noticed? The staff did replenish the food but not the serving spoons/tongs. They do still have an omelette bar and meat carving station and crepe station. I enjoyed all 3. Clean and organized. Not too crowded. I was a little concerned about the temperature of the oysters on the half shell. If this brunch is going to last, it could use some improvement. After all, It's not a cheap brunch.

We were able to go out and about without worrying about driving, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The hotel was easy to find, and parking is conveniently located right across the street with simple in-and-out access (though, of course, there is a parking fee -- which is never fun). Inside, the hotel is very clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff was accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was on the fifth floor, which I actually prefer when staying in a city -- the higher up, the better to avoid street noise. One of my favorite features of Embassy Suites is the room layout. The separation between the living room and bedroom is ideal, especially if someone wants to rest while others are still awake. The rooms have consistently been clean and feel very homey. Everything was great -- until Sunday morning. This is a dog-friendly hotel, which we love since we bring our dog and take her on walks so she's not stuck inside all weekend. However, checkout morning was pure chaos. One of the two elevators was out of service, it was peak checkout time, and there was also a princess pageant event happening, so the hotel was much busier than usual. Trying to get downstairs with my dog was extremely frustrating. I looked for stairs but wasn't sure if they were alarmed. When I asked an employee to confirm, she looked at me like I had five heads, which didn't help my already thin patience (I definitely did not have enough coffee for that situation). I eventually just went downstairs. Coming back up was even worse -- the line for the single working elevator was ridiculous. When I asked the front desk about the stairs, I was told they were accessible from outside. I didn't realize I needed my key card to re-enter through the outdoor stairwell (which makes total sense -- I was just aggravated at that point). After going back inside and trying again, I ended up walking up five flights of stairs with my dog. Thankfully, we had requested a late checkout, so we avoided the absolute peak of the chaos. Our friends on the third floor ended up carrying their luggage down the stairs because waiting for the elevator wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, being on the fifth floor with a lot of luggage, that wasn't really an option for us. Aside from that stressful morning, we really enjoyed our stay. The complimentary evening happy hour with drink tickets and small bites is always a highlight. We also had breakfast on Saturday morning -- and honestly, the breakfast is a major deciding factor whenever we choose to stay at a Hilton. Overall, a great stay with one very frustrating checkout experience.

Nice and firm for a get night rest or a nap after being at the pool side for a few hours. Walk in closet big bathroom ,living room was cool as well. The rooms give you that old 1960 vibes with a modern touch. The resort also featured some old vintage 1960 cars similar to the TWA hotel at jfk airport. The resort had some nice places to go to. Me and my wife enjoyed the bowling alley. We had a lot of fun. Don't forget about the shops with all your favorite carton characters t shirts hats slippers you name it Star Wars, the minions the Simpsons fun for kids all ages. We also enjoyed the cabana cafeteria . I had a spicy chicken sandwich with fries my wife had chicken teriyaki lomein full of nice pieces of chicken ,Which she enjoyed .I also had some chicken tenders and fries from the cafeteria on our stay. We also ordered food from door dash while we were in the main lobby. We ordered shake shack which was cheaper ordering from door dash then buying food on the resort, smash burgers well done with cheese fries, for a little vacation cheat because I'm on a diet. By the way the order came really fast. Don The pool was great especially at night the view was amazing. With the lights shining on the pool and the really nice fire pit they had so you can even roast some marshmallows by it. Also the pool features a water slide for kids and adults. The blow up rafts were $9to17. You also could bring your own as well. You also had an ice machine with cold water free. Plus you had the soft drinks and soda all you can drink for $30 . That was the drink packed. Cabana bay resort also had a restaurant right next the pool outside. Where they had some really good chicken quesadillas with fries. My wife enjoyed that. . I went with the chicken wrap with lettuce and some veggies, It was great to eat pool side with the beach chairs equipped with the big umbrella for shade . Then you also had the lazy river at the resort. That featured a bigger water slide and pool . Bigger than the pool outside the main lobby. The staff was courteous and friendly the stay was fun. Just remember it's kinda pricey . But don't forget about all the theme parks you get to visit for $80 each way .

Check in, took 30+ mins long and we checked in online, but the online check desk was closed, which seemed odd. There were tons of people that were from out of town that looked tired, especially after going through airport securities/travel from their states and looked like they just wanted to get their room and go to sleep, but it seemed that there was no urgency from staff. They didn't look short staffed, but I saw other staff standing around with no lines at their kiosk with multiple areas for them to step in at check in- Which tells me that there needs to be some cross training encouraged to help their processing. Fun Fact: I rode two rides at Universal with my fast pass faster than checking in to our room. Room was clean, view was nice. We stayed on the top floor with the view of one of the pools, which was nice but I had not so much of a good first night due to the AC in the room not working properly and I'm a hot sleeper so I did not sleep well. I did address the issue in the morning and let the staff know about my issue and that I was gonna be gone for the day and they did fix my issue right away. The food was surprisingly mediocre, and they have four different restaurants you can eat from and we went to three of them, which seems to be the same style of food just spread out. The first night I had a Smashburger it looked very delicious, but then I found myself putting on basic ingredients on my burger, salt and pepper. If I did not, it would have not had any seasoning. The second night I went to the Brazilian steak eatery and as far as a quick steak to get, it was very delicious and they serve it with mashed potatoes and gravy, which was really delicious. I would recommend eating your meals at least for dinner there if you're going to eat in the in the resort. If you're looking cocktails, they have them and they're very delicious. Prices are high, but you get a quality drink. I think I just had a bad experience. I don't feel that everybody encounters what I encountered when they visit, but I would have given a 3 star rating if it wasn't for how convenient it is to get to the park, there's a shuttle that picks you up every 10 minutes and drops you off and when you're done at the park, it picks you up and takes you right back to the hotel. Beats paying $50 a day for parking at the parks, but you still have to pay for parking with your room which is significantly less. All-In-all it was good, but not great for my experience, I will probably attend a different resort next time, but as a local in Florida, we have that choice.
