avengers assemble! as a Marriott member for almost 20 years, the courtyard by Marriott brand is one of my favorites. this one No Doubt falls in line there and definitely is great! kinda feels like returning to a familiar shield base where you know everything just works. friendly service at the front desk and prompt. they honored my titanium late checkout as well, so kudos to them for asking upon check-in. they were super nice and handled everything with that captain america level of politeness tbh. the hotel is well maintained and up-to-date. the bistro is the usual solid courtyard offerings that are go to. and of course, the three round media boot are part of their signature in their bistro. it was a great spot to sit and power up in the morning like iron man before heading out for the day. parking is super easy as it's part of a very large strip mall and shares the shopping center with a large corporate building. didn't have to stress about parking a helicarrier or anything. there are a lot of offerings in the parking lot for multiple coffee shops to eateries that can be fast casual to a higher end place. and plenty of places to eat within 1 to 2 miles. very conveniently located. basically you have as many food options nearby as there are variants in the multiverse lol. i give this a five star review and it's what you expect from a courtyard by Marriott Brand. definitely a great stay! read more

We've stayed at this location a few times. This time we checked in and the bathroom had a strange unpleasant odor. They moved us to another room and that bathroom had the same unpleasant odor. Seems like it might be the shower curtains, after some sniffing around. Not to mention a lame 3rd party parking payment system. Shifting more work to the guest is nonsense. Marriott is now the worst. Totally ruined the stay and we won't be back. read more

I've stayed here many times and I look forward to it. Top floor to avoid the sound of footsteps. They have a nice breakfast made to order downstairs that was surprisingly good. The gym room is small but they have a sweet water machine, towels, and enough equipment to get a basic workout. Nice looking pool but haven't tried it. Was able to check in early I think around 2p. Quick easy check in. Paid self parking right out front. Lots of EV charger port parking outside as well. We stayed in the one bed room with pull out sofa. The pull out sofa was small, but my two kids were able to fit. There's a mini fridge. I had previously read noise was an issue and I agree. I could hear the footsteps above us. I would get top floor if you can. Bathroom has the shampoo, conditioner body wash dispensers. Was good enough for us. There's also a little mini store in the lobby as well as restaurant but we didn't eat there. Lots of places to eat in the same plaza. Starbucks and McDonald's a short drive away too. There are entrances on each side of the building as well. Don't have to enter thru main lobby but you'll need your key card or course. They probably offer bell service but my friend found a bell cart and they were able to push belongings upstairs themselves if you want to save on tip lol I put in request to be near elevator and our friends and thankfully they were able to honor it. read more

Area seems safe. You will be given a parking permit to place in your car upon checkin. Don't come in with your hands full only to go right back outside. Courtyard is always a rub for me. Most Marriott brands offer complimentary breakfast. It bothers me that they don't here and the cafe prices are not a great value for what you receive. Complimentary coffee in the lobby would go a long way. The room was clean, I did find a dirty, torn rag I think must have fallen out of the maintenance cart on my floor upon arrival, otherwise everything was great in the room. Mini fridge kept the wine cold and the AC worked perfectly. Location and proximity to parking was also excellent. Room is a bit dated, some older furnishings and side table that looked worn but everything was in working order. Mobile keys worked great here but once used, my regular room key stopped working. Door had a decent gap which I was able to partly remedy by placing a towel along the floor. Overall the experience was food, I just wish it were a bit closer to the major freeways. It's off the beaten path in a business/industrial area but was packed as the lobby was full of business travelers during the happiest hours of the day. read more

The wife and I stay here several times per year. Not that it's close to any attractions (kind of situated in a business park), but it's one of the closest hotels to where my family lives, so for us, it happens to be convenient. I enjoy staying here during the weekdays as it's mostly business people and it's usually pretty quiet. But, on the weekend, it's a bit noisier as families bring their kids. Tip, be careful if you stay on the top floor, as the heavy machinery (air conditioning equipment, kitchen fans, etc.) is located on the roof and has kept me from getting a good night sleep due to a constant hum...even with earplugs/headphones, you can still feel the vibration from the equipment if it bounces off the room just right. If you stay on the side of the hotel near the freeway, you almost hear no traffic for two reasons: 1. It's a toll-road and isn't as traveled as much as the 5 or 405. 2. There are soundproof windows installed, in addition to the regular windows. We rarely ever get something from the bistro as everything is uber expensive and isn't that good ($10 for a crap cup of Starbucks coffee and a bagel)...there is a (real) standalone Starbucks in the same shopping center. The staff is always friendly and helpful and they know that my wife and I can be pretty demanding on room location and May and Sierra are always helpful and nice to chat with. Until recently, this was one of the only Marriott's that didn't charge for parking, but even though it's in a business park/strip mall, they will now get you for $7 a night to park. You don't get anything for that $7 and feels like a money grab. There are 2 levels of internet, free (slower speed [typical 10mbps down and 4mbps up]) and paid. I almost never use either speed internet as my cell AT&T coverage is always significantly faster. Staff does a good job keeping the lobby and public areas clean and inviting. Next to the check-in, is a well stocked area for snacks and drinks, as well as meds, sewing kit, comb, toothbrush, etc. Not the cheapest, but is convenient. All-in-all, we like staying here as it's kind of off the beaten path and is almost always a good and uneventful stay, and it just so happens to be located close to family. read more

AVOID. This place is terrible. $299 a night. The surprising $15 parking fee was waived. I'm suspicious that they do this every time. Not sure for what they're charging; I never saw a security officer and the spots are TINY. The entry door to the room doesn't block sound. You can hear the footfalls of people walking on the carpet with the "crunchy" padding that is in the room, as well; doors with the clunky hotel locks and handles opening and closing, and hallway conversations make it seem like the entry door isn't even there. I could hear my neighbors conversation while in the bathroom, making me rather self conscious of any sound I might make. It was clear a male and female were having a conversation. Although I am the only person renting the room, I was put in a room with an adjoining door (why would hospitality do that!?). They either rented the room or the residents came back. Seemed like there was a lady sitting by the adjoining door talking. Aspects of the room are rundown or broken. The upscale lobby is nice and makes you feel like you're in a hotel that charges $299/night, but you enter the room and it's about the same as a Motel 6 or Travel Lodge. I feel scammed. I worked a 7-hour day doing hard, manual labor. Thought I'd stay in the area rather than commute home, only to be back the next day. I should have no problem falling asleep, but it's loud here and I'm am so tired. It is a Friday, but still... Bed is very soft. Nice for those that sleep on their back, but, being a side and stomach sleeper, I felt like I was being folded. The stupidity of putting me next to an occupied room with an adjoining door has made me forget whatever pleasantries the front desk staff might have exuded. Neighbors just informed me of the Michigan women's basketball score through the door- it's tied at 80. Never mind just went to OT. Calling the front desk to move. read more

The staff at this hotel has been the best thing about the Courtyard by Marriott foothill Ranch. It's a nice property. The rooms are nice the gym is amazing you'll see that my pictures the gym is fabulous for hotel gym. I had a number of issues on this day. The phone message light wouldn't shut off, so I finally had to disconnect the phone. My door lock was not working properly that caused a little bit a challenge. There was some teeny tiny refrigerator in my room, and I always travel with my food so that was a bit of a challenge, but the staff make sure that everything was great and typically the staff here is pretty amazing and all the challenges of the reason I'm giving it four stars instead of my five which I would normally give it, but it's a great local place if you're doing business or visiting in the area. read more

I stayed here for 2 nights while visiting local family in Orange County. It was just my family in one room. The hotel management assigned us a room in the middle of a floor where all the rooms were taken up by teens on a sports team. The teens and their coaches were knocking on doors ( including my door ) all night long up until 2am. It happened both nights we were there. This place is very economical and extremely popular with high school sports teams. If you are expecting to sleep please NO NOT stay here. I complained to the front desk and they didn't do anything about it. So not impressed with how they handled the situation. I will never ever stay here again. Seems like a great place to stay if you have 50 teen kids on a sports trip that have no plans of sleeping at all and like to make a LOT of noise. Horrid. Could not wait to leave. read more

Needed a hotel for the night and chose this one based on brand and rewards. The hotel has plenty of parking and is close to highways. Tried getting checked in and a digital key online but for some reason the app wasn't updating. Staff was friendly and helpful and we got our key quickly. The hotel is clean and either new or newly renovated. Our room was clean and everything was in good shape. The bathroom was very clean and well maintained. Really the only thing was the mini fridge was sitting on the floor and not in the dresser compartment so you could hear it going on and off. If you don't want to pay for breakfast since there is no free breakfast provided there is a Starbucks and bagel shop on the other side of the parking lot. We stayed for 24 nights at the hotel while we had an issue with our apartment. Cierra & the ladies at the front desk were so welcoming, accommodating, thoughtful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The staff, including the kind Indian maintenance gentleman and the bartender/cook at the bistro, were all so friendly & helpful. (Apologize, I didn't catch everyone's name). The manager made cookies every Friday night and the front desk team would even call up to our room to let us know to come get them in the lobby! Overall, the staff consistently went above and beyond in every aspect, that alone would prompt me to return to this hotel whenever possible. read more

I recommend this hotel because the beds were super comfy and the hotels were spacious and nice. It was clean and had some nice decor.

The service was top notch. The best check-in experience I have ever had. I was speaking with the agent (didn't get her make but I assume she was the manager) and she was super welcoming for our late check-in. She offered multiple room options, and delivered a welcome bag to our room. Fantastic service all around. We will be back for sure. Thank you! read more

My husband just started back to business travel and since we've been together for over 395 consecutive days we decided we needed to be together a few more days before he jumped back into "full" pre -Covid travel. The staff let us check in really early ...like 10am. The 1st room was clean and tidy. Was advised we wouldn't have room service during our stay. After being in the room for several hours I noticed this " booming bass" sound coming from the a/c or heating unit. I tried to ignore it but it was driving me crazy. I even put on earplugs but didn't want to wear earplugs for 4 days. I called downstairs and they immediately moved me into a nice corner room with a balcony and gave us 5k points. I really appreciated it so much. While I was there the pool was closed for maintenance but I still sat outside the gates to eat my meals. There was still a limit on the "pool capacity" that required you to make an appointment at the top of the hour. You had to be walked to the pool by a staff member to get in. The workout room also required an appointment. I think it was limited to 2 people. The computer was also down for maintenance. Masks were required inside. One super annoying thing about both our rooms was the refrigerator door was hard to close and would get stuck on the cabinet door and required a high powered kick to close. I imagine an elderly or slight person may have difficulties . Parking was abundant and free. Lots of restaurants like Starbucks, Tai food, Wahoos, nail places , Orangetheory in walking distance. Also a really nice running and bike park was next to Wahoos. The restaurant did have a breakfast stand open in the morning, You could buy coffee and such. My husband wanted me to mention their little food pantry was outrageously priced. My little soda was $4. Why gauge ? Also no microwave in the rooms. The staff Sara ( dark hair, glasses , short ) was really attentive and remembered our names when we walked in and out. We also got a late check out which was super convenient . Pretty awful check-in experience and despite paying ahead of time they wanted me to pay in person and pay some fees such as parking which was $7 overnight. Something to note: This is a hotel where a lot of people bring their dogs for some reason. People will love it or hate it, I personally hate it. Front reception area is small and the line was as big as the small room. The receptionist was very incompetent. The bar was closed at 7 PM which was odd but didn't look very good anyway. A lot of strong smells in this hotel, despite looking clean and new it smelled like an old parking garage. Room was very standard and kind of boring. The window shades were paper thin and a lot of lights from across the parking lot were lighting up the room even with the shades closed. Typical crappy soap in the bathroom and hard, aggressive water from the sink and shower. Complimentary instant coffee in the room but nothing special and no filtered water available in the room! I had to go down to the lobby to get it. Overall this hotel feels cold and uninviting and I won't be coming back. read more

My husband passed away and I just needed a night or two for a good night sleep and just some quiet time to relax from all that has happened, so I decided to try this hotel again as it is close to my home in Dove. The sweet young lady that made my reservation and checked me in was friendly and kind. She asked if I will be staying longer than one night and I asked if I can tell her the next day. She said absolutely and checkout time is noon and to just let them know by noon. She said if I do decide to checkout and I happen to need a little more time to just let the front desk know. I ask WINSTON at the front desk at 0555 the next day if there is any coffee and he tells me in an cold way that there is no coffee. I ask him what the cost is for another night and he says $179. I said thank you Winston, I will let you know by 11:45 if I am staying another night. He says the hotel is near sold out status and if they sell my room even at 10:00 am or sooner that I will have to leave. I have never heard of this and I have stayed at numerous hotels all my life! And appalling that Bonvoy would tell someone they have to leave and cannot stay another night as they sold the room! I won't be back or have my family and friends stay. The prices though....everything is SOOOO EXPENSIVE. The hotel is conveniently located next to a few restaurants and a Walmart. We decided to stay at this location because we had a volleyball tournament. My husband is a Marriott member and using them several times a month. Upon check in, we were told their was no rooms available for early check in. As I watched others come in and have no problem getting a early check in, I went back to the counter and was told we were prioritized at the bottom of the list. Really?? Clearly one of the best Marriotts we've stayed in at this price point! The rooms are well kept and up to date. We consistently visit here once a year and unlike other Marriotts (Temecula/Muiretta, come to mind), this one is aging well. Each room has a sitting area (photo) for reading or watch cable TV. Since the hotel is located on a high point, you get a decent view of the Irvine/Spectrum area. The breakfast is good here, but we always find an excuse for exploring the brunch options nearby. Expect to pay between $100 to $140 for a King bed room, depending upon the season. Yes, we will be back. Enjoy! read more

This Courtyard rocks! I called ahead of time and told them it was our anniversary and that I'm a long time Marriott rewards member and they were able to provide me an upgrade based on their availability! I am so grateful and it pays to be a member. For the Bistro: For how simple the menu is and the fact that it's a small bistro in a hotel, it's pretty impressive! We were greeted by James who had a lovely and positive attitude and he was able to answer our questions and provide options. We were handed a number to place on our table so they can bring the food to our table. There was plenty of seating during the time we arrived so we chose a nice round booth with a TV. Our food came out and it tasted delicious! The cheese in the 2 egg omelette was so gooey that it must have been good quality. The bacon ratio was just right and I loved the grilled onions to give it a little bit of savory sweetness. My husband loved his egg white frittata. And then the avocado toast. Mmmmmm. They had a great balance of salt and pepper and some sour onions and roasted tomato to add if wanted. I loved this avocado toast because it wasn't just mashed up avocado but it had flavor and the toast was good quality and held it's crunch and shape. They have a limited amount of Starbucks coffee choices since they aren't a full fledged Starbucks but it's just enough and it's all the basics. I had a blonde roast coffee that I was able to serve myself and put the right amount of cream. This is my second time eating at a Courtyard Bistro and it yet again proves why I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and will continue to choose Marriott. read more

We stayed here overnight for a wedding celebration located at the Rancho Las Lomos Wildlife Foundation. It is a welcoming and clean location, the staff is friendly and accommodating. We arrived before check in time as the wedding was at 4 and they were able to find clean rooms for us. We had a cozy room with a view of the pool area on the 4th floor, Room 455. The room was clean and inviting with a comfy bed, comfy sofa, a desk, tv, coffee nook, nice bathroom and closet. I wish we had time to check out the pool, whirlpool and fitness room. They all looked inviting, maybe next trip. It was rather a quick trip and very convenient with free parking. And the parents of the groom gave us a free breakfast coupon to use on check out morning. The lobby is very inviting and there is also a computer to print out your boarding pass with computers nearby for you to use. We did take advantage of the delicious breakfast that we ordered in the dining area. It was fabulous and nice hot Starbucks coffee to boot. The only downside was even though the bed was comfortable, the headboard was made of foam and the comforter and bedspread were a bit thin so we had to get an extra blanket from the closet. Other than that, our stay was perfect but too short to enjoy all the amenities. There is a small strip mall a few steps away from the hotel that has Bowl of Heaven that we enjoyed, as well as Thai restaurant, Round Table Pizza and a UPS store. read more

My new favorite Marriott near Mission Viejo when we stay the weekend for our son Annual Clubfoot picnic. This location is an area with surrounding eateries & businesses so it's not overly crowded nor in the middle of no where. I felt very safe at this location & was even happier to know they had a Starbucks inside the main lobby. The rooms where clean , spacious & comfortable for a family of 3. Through their online app BonVoy I was able to pre request extra towels & bed linens for the twin pullout for my 4 year old to sleep in. I usually don't feel comfortable with him sleeping in pull outs because he's a active sleeper & there's those huge gaps between the mattress & couch, but the couch alone he could had slept on without pulling it out, but since we did the pillows where so big I was able to insert them in the gap & know he wouldn't bang his head on the spring or be awoken from semi sliding in. We had every intention to use their pool on our arrival night, we could hear the laughter and children enjoying themselves but also was quite by 10pm , definitely next time. They also had a closet size mini market, with microwave open all night in the lobby as well. I know there was a bar somewhere but it was more catered to families that I never saw anyone enjoying a cocktail, definitely something I will enjoy on our next stay. To top it off parking was free & plenty, it was such a nice safe area we left his bike on the car roof knowing it would still be there in the morning. Nothing particularly good or bad about this Courtyard hotel. Room was clean with sofa & desk. Bed had plugs to charge your devices on the nightstand, and bathroom was OK. Parking was free, and there was a Starbucks both downstairs and across the street. Conveniently located near Target in case you forget any toiletries. Even though you are right next to the freeway, you won't notice any noise. It's a toll road so the traffic is very light. This Courtyard is also close to a few restaurants if you're looking for dinner. Check-in staff were friendly and spacious lounge area on the first floor. read more

We were evacuated because of a fire in our canyon. The Marriott was there for us, and had been in the past by accepting us at 130a and giving us a room that was secure and safe at a low price! We were so very thankful! Also we just realized in all the craziness and stress of that evacuation that we left our security box with all our important papers behind when we checked out! (Just so much stress during that traumatic event and Covid). Wish they would have called to let us know, but we realized it was missing, called, and they had saved it in a secure area! Hello, just a little irritated. I stayed here with my husband , we tried using his card but the card reader was not working with the one that we booked with. We were asked to use a different card just for the room hold that the hotels usually do when you stay and will be released back after a few days after check out... which was fine but they promised us that card would not get charged. This was not the case. The original card on the reservation was never charged and they used the "placeholder" one for the roomcharge. It's very irritating and there is no point in calling the hotel to fix this issue , we are no longer in the area and It would take even more business days to switch things around. It's just a huge inconvenience and obviously not the card intended to be used for the charge of the hotel. So we are basically SOL at this point. Only making this review to let other hotel guests know to not put trust into what is said that will be happening. It's been awhile now and no changes on the charge. The card that we said we wanted to used and was told would be charged never got charged at all. We gave It awhile to see if this would change and It never did. The room was nice though. This is mainly the issue with them charging the wrong card and us being told otherwise which has caused a setback for us that we were not expecting, and waiting on having to deal with even longer of a "release"/ change over of the charge on the wrong card which i don't want to have to deal with at all which is why It was specified not to use that card and we were assured that It was not going to be used for the room charge which obviously was not the case. read more

We left very early on checkout day, January 29 left our room neat and did not go to the front desk for checkout because most hotels say you do not need to and we did end up with 2x $3.50 charges at the front desk Market Place which we never visited, other than this our stay was perfect. read more

It was ever so pleasant to be greeted and handed a bottle of water on check in. The staff were super pleasant each time we spoke with them. The room was impeccably clean, and beautifully appointed. A comfy couch, a desk with chair, a refrigerator, ample space for clothing and a lovely bathroom. We asked for extra towels each day and there was never a complaint or anything but a pleasant smile. Not a bad place to stay during COVID at all. Our room looked nice and cleaned with care. I have no horror story to tell here. It does look like it's been remodeled in the past couple of years, so that was nice. Do believe that the walls are incredibly, and I mean incredibly, thin. And yes, the AC is quite akin to a lawnmower. Would I have given this place 1 less star in pre-COVID times? Yes, but cleanliness is my top priority right now, and this fits the bill for sure. (PS, they didn't charge us a parking fee but be aware that it may be a thing once the economy starts to reopen). read more

Jury is still out on this hotel. I stayed here because it was a Marriott and I was a frequent traveler for work. But this hotel is out of the way from everything. I'm not a big fan of South Orange county either. The room is tiny for 3 people and there is no counter space in the bathroom. Will probably think twice about this hotel and room the next time I travel. Great for a 1 person business trip but not a weeks vacation. Leah was able to get our party of four in a restraunt down the street with a 15m notice and Sarah let me check in an hour early. Both of them could have not been more accommidating! Worst hotel ever, the front desk lady Sarah is the worst, we talked on 11:45am, May 3/2023. Everyone be aware, please don't come here and NEVER come here. I book reservations from May1-May7. Because the highway is extremely noisy and the window is not blocking any noise, I wanted to check out early on May3. Sarah said it's prepaid so they can not refund the rest. THEY CAN NOT REFUND THE REST UNUSED NIGHTS?????? Sarah said it's because it's "prepaid", but then I asked Priceline, Priceline said they already transfer the money to hotel, so hotel is the one that already get the money, but they still don't refund any UNUSED nights!!! extremely ridiculous!!! by the way, there are plenty rooms available, not even occupied. This hotel is just ridiculous and greedy, don't come here, or you will regret for sure. read more
