This is a reminder for future Christina to specify the dressing. As always, I got the kale salad with blackened shrimp. The amount of candied nuts and cheese makes it delicious and not feeling like I'm depriving myself. This time they didn't ask me what dressing I wanted and brought blue cheese on the side. It was honestly a bit of a weird choice for a kale salad. It wasn't bad, and I'm sure I could have asked for a vinaigrette that would have tasted better, but I figured I'd just roll with it. Next time I should be proactive and ask them what dressings they gave so I can request one that's a vinaigrette. I thought the parking lot looked packed but it was only the first row closest to the street. I parked farther away for no reason so next time I should drive down another aisle. Had lunch here while traveling for business in Tampa. Was surprised by the range of options available on the menu for what looked like a sports bar to me. I had a poke bowl and some edamame. Service was good and efficient. My colleague had a Reuben and I didn't hear any complaints from him. We had a really nice experience today at the "Courtside Grill". First off we arrived to the "Courtside Grill", and there is plenty of parking. We walked in and was greeted so nicely by the hostess she seated us right away no wait. Love the atmosphere here really high ceilings and very spacious with beautiful architecture especially their chandelier. Also, there is plenty of TVs. They had football games on all over the place, and other sports games on. But I was handed the menu. I am definitely delighted to see how many different items they have on the menu. It is really impressive. I ordered the Italian sub. I do not add cheese to mine due to allergy situation. and I get to pick one side with that I got the broccoli. My husband got cheeseburger and frys, my niece got Caesar salad, and tuna poke bowl, And everybody ordered that at the table. My Italian sub was really really good! The bread tasted homemade was so fluffy and fresh and had a nice crispiness on the outside because it was toasted. Meat was really good and fresh. I definitely would order that again. My husband loved his burger. He said it was excellent really juicy burger cooked perfectly. The fries were very crispy. Everybody loved the Tuna Poke bowl. They loved the sauce that it had all over it they said it was really fresh and full of flavor not fishy at all. I was just there. The food was good, the service was great. But after I gave my credit card there was an extra fee on it for using the credit card. Which is bull because we have an extra fee of paying tips because the restaurant industry is too cheap to pay their staff a living wage. I will tell you that I won't be back because of the hidden fee. And any and all service fees I come across, I will be deducting it from the tip. Went to Courtside to watch the football game. It was very busy but still the service was quick and follow up was great! I love the side pasta and I order shrimp to add to it. So good! Went to this restaurant last year and had a grouper sandwich so good we went back three times during our vacation to have it again. It was fresh, light, and delicious - just like Florida grouper should be. Came back this year, husband and I both ordered the same and what came from the kitchen was garbage. It smelled bad: was brown in color, and worse yet, was some sort of fused fish parts patty. One bite and we were done. Server offered to comp and I'm totally kicking myself that we paid and left for a meal we didn't eat. Female staff with hostile and "know it all" attitudes and a manager named Arthur that have no clue about FL ADA restaurant laws. Arthur allows his staff to be extremely, repeatedly disrespectful to customers. Arthur A said he has been managing there for 20 years. Has he ever taken a Restaurant 101 course? Look up the laws, "Service vests are required for a dog to be a service animal." We were repeatedly told this by staff with a nasty attitude. Check out the laws before making your comments as though they are facts and calling someone with a disability a "liar" please. Courtside staff. Seriously. Educate yourselves before making (falsely) omnipotent and condescending statements to customers. Wow, those are some rude, ignorant workers and their "boss" with a lot to say that they aren't even accurate about. Vests and " service registry ID tags" that anyone can get online are not required on service animals. LOOK UP THE ACTUAL FEDERAL AND FL STATUTES RATHER THAN MAKING ASSUMPTIONS and calling your customer a liar. Got so hostile I got camera out and got much of it on video with audio. Will be considering filing a formal ADA / civil rights complaint with medical letter, training certificate, & videos of this manager and staff. Harassment and intimidation toward guest with a disability then trying to blame guest? Not cool. Not funny. Not legal. Period. ADDITIONALLY- Arthur's staff offered ZERO water at our table. We always have to ask for water (they typically start off asking us what drinks we'd like to start with from the bar without mentioning water) and have been there many, many times over years passing through and after purchasing a place in area. Servers are offering only alcohol. This may increase sales and their tips with more alcohol served, but also increases risk and LIABILITY if someone were to leave and be in a car accident. Checked this spot out finally. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and the baked spinach and artichoke dip to start. The dip was shredded asiago cheese topping, scallion and tomato garnish and served with toast points. Very good and cheesy! I ordered The Franchise, which is smoked salmon, scallion, cream cheese, tempura fried topped with eel sauce, and spicy mayo. It's always a pleasure coming back to Courtside Grill as they never fail to disappoint! I visited with two friends, and our waiter was incredibly sweet and attentive. The service was quick, and the food was delicious. We started with the must-have cheesy baguette as an appetizer, which was fantastic. We sat in a booth which was perfect. Perfect place for March Madness! For our main courses, I had the mahi-mahi sandwich, one friend had the chicken bowl, and the other tried the buffalo mac and cheese--everyone agreed that their dishes were amazing. We ended our meal by sharing a cookie with ice cream for dessert, which was the perfect indulgence. Today I tried the burger again and despite asking the bartender for condiments, they never arrived. I waited patiently but she forgot and got busy with other customers. We started with a nice portion of a capresi salad, then went with Poke Bowl with Tuna for me and a French dip for my friend. My friend and I live in north St Pete and wanted to meet up for sushi. We were racking our brains on where to go when I remembered that Courtside has sushi nightly (not at lunch). My friend does not do seaweed, they offer soy or rice papers on almost all their rolls as an alternative for a small upcharge. Most sushi places have beer and sake, another bene to Courtside is a great wine list and full bar. Super easy to get to and it is pretty big so usually not a wait. We have added this to our rotation. We noticed our server at 5 tables before visiting us. Once we got all our food, we didn't see our server again until we were done and waiting to leave. In town for meetings we were staying near but came first night and got a plethora of food from fish dishes to steaks to sushi - which was mostly rolls but very tasty and my fav spicy tuna I think I got 3 in 2 days I had a grouper Piccata that was quite tasty( heavy on cream - picatta shouldn't be too rich) but good either way. The salmon looked really good as well as the mahi-mahi and the blue cheese wedge salad but they seem to have everything here from great burgers and steaks to edamame to snack on . The outside eating area has access to the bar several TVs as well as the inside and the service all around and atmosphere was perfect this week. Courtside Grille is different. In all the right ways. Tonight we were wanting to go out to dinner; nothing too fancy, but nothing too casual. What intrigued us was how large the menu was! Talk about variety. He wanted to try it a little bit of everything: my boyfriend got the whiskey flight and I got a cosmo. Then for food we tried their spinach and artichoke PIZZA! And a few different sushi rolls. The pizza was delicious, nice and crispy the way we like it. The spinach and artichoke was a little weird, but I ended up really enjoying the combination. Our server recommended next time we try the actual spinach and artichoke appetizer and she raved about how delicious that was! She was very friendly and helped us navigate the huge selection. The sushi was fine, not bad, but as expected from a sports bar environment. The rolls could've been packed a little more, they felt small and left us hungry. For the price though, you can't beat it. Been here quite a few times now and can't believe I haven't done a review of here yet. Long overdue, but here it goes... Lots of great choices on the menu. I recently tried the fish spread (with the added capers, red onion, and pickles) and I'm a huge fan! Highly recommend this! The sushi is also quite good and they have a great selection and plenty of variety. Homemade pizzas are also really good. Personal sized 10 inches of deliciousness all a-round (see what I did there?) I happen to like the Yorkside special (minus the peppers) and the Piggy pizza. Really great vibe here, whether you want to catch a sporting event on one of the many TVs, or hang out with friends and get drinks, or come here for social hour after work. I've done all of the above and will keep coming back here for more. Service is primarily OK, but there have been times where it's been a miss as well. It's more of the exception than the rule though, and this could be attributed to the same challenges that the rest of the service industry is facing as well. read more

My husband and I come here about twice a month on Saturday nights and order about 6 rolls to split between us. Our favorite rolls are Shaggy Dog, Joe vs. Volcano, and Hawaii Five-Oh. Also, don't forget a side of the eel sauce and spicy mayo! Every Friday and Saturday nights after 8PM, they have HALF OFF sushi and appetizers. And sometimes you have to wait a while for sushi, the longest we waited once was 45 minutes but the manager came by to inform us of the wait.
