Driving over twenty miles to get a particular brand of wine says something about my…read moredetermination--or just my insanity, but I made it. The Pembroke Pines location had a noticeably more lively atmosphere than the Boca Raton location. The place was bustling with a constant stream of people walking in. It appears I arrived during the store's scheduled tastings aka mini happy hour at Total Wine. There were a few tables set up with samples of rum, liqueur, and wine. I tried a sample of a Dominican rum called E. Leon Jimenes 1903. It had a smooth taste with a slightly sweet-spiced flavor, and it would definitely get you turnt real fast. I also sampled a chocolate liqueur, but it wasn't as good as Baileys, in my opinion. To avoid losing focus on why I was here, I walked toward the back of the store where the wines were displayed. I looked intently at each brand of Moscato. There it was on the top shelf--Jacob's Creek Moscato. I breathed a sigh of relief while grabbing a bottle, then proceeded to the checkout, but was stopped by an employee at the tasting area. She had me sample three different wines; one was peach-flavored. I didn't get the names of the wine samples, but I really like the first one as well as the second. The peach-flavored wine was lackluster. I was contemplating getting another bottle of wine...Brain to self: Okay girl, you came all the way here for ONE bottle of wine, and you got it. Don't get caught up in this sales tactic... Head to the checkout... NOW! The cashier was friendly as she scanned my item and signed me up for their free loyalty program. I'm not sure I'd spend enough to enjoy the perks of the program, but I'll see how it goes. As of right now, I'm gonna head home and chill this bottle for later.

For any celebration, Total Wines has the best and most aptly priced drinks for the occasion…read more Conveniently located close to home in the Pembroke Pines area, it is truly a joy to know that their selection of French wines and international drinks is never far way. As of late I've become a big fan of make my own Aperol Spritz, Negronis, as well as playing around with other concoctions and their supplies always come through. Another plus is the knowledge and expertise of the employees walking the floors. They are impressive and always willing to help. Highly recommend them!

You can find this Miramar location in Miramar Park Place next to Flanigan's and the Kebab Shop. I've been here once before and snagged the Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey, which is amazing with just club soda. We had it with Coke too as many people suggested but that was too sweet, good but too sweet. We started to tone the Screwball and Coke down with club soda and eventually eliminated the Coke altogether. Lol. Also got the 1800 Coconit tequila which is good with club soda too. They have the basics and it's super clean and organized. I've been looking for the Cazadores Paloma cans but nobody sells them. It's my favorite Paloma canned drink option, Big Daddy's didn't have it but I was checking out other options. I knew I needed a new bottle of Casamigos Mezcal, it's my favorite! They didn't have Casamigos on the regular shelves but I saw it on my way out. They keep it behind the counter. Unfortunately, they don't carry Casamigos Mezcal. But the nice gentleman working let me know Casamigos had some sort of issue in the news several months back about Casamigos and Don Julio. "The complaint alleges that Diageo knowingly mislabeled its Don Julio and Casamigos tequilas as 100% agave--when both brands are purportedly adulterated with industrial alcohol." Nice small liquor store to get what you need/want and conveniently located in Miramar center with other restaurants and retail options.

The store is nice and bright with a huge selection of drinks with Great prices!!…read moreThe cashier was patient and kind. He helped us without any issues!!

We ended up grabbing a bottle for the table, and it was the perfect companion throughout the meal. We kicked things off with bread service. I went with the classic pretzel bread while my wife opted for the gluten-free version, and both were a great start. For our mains, I ordered the Cilantro Ranch Chicken Sandwich -- Tillamook Cheddar, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Smashed Avocado, Cilantro Ranch, and Seasoned Mayo -- but asked to swap the chicken for grilled mahi. The kitchen handled the substitution without a hitch, and it was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered from the gluten-free menu and had the Soy Ginger Atlantic Salmon with Wasabi-Buttered Mashed Potatoes and Asian Slaw, which she raved about. What really stood out was how well Cooper's Hawk accommodates dietary needs without making it feel like an afterthought. The gluten-free options were just as thoughtful and flavorful as everything else on the menu. Great food, great wine, great atmosphere -- we'll definitely be back!

They also offer a really nice variety of menu options, so there's always something new to try. While they do accept walk-ins, I highly recommend making a reservation because it can get busy. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and always happy to help guide your selections. From the moment we were seated, we were warmly greeted and our server remained attentive throughout our entire visit. He took the time to thoroughly explain the evening's specials and was genuinely enthusiastic about highlighting the sushi featured on the specials menu. There wasn't a single item we ordered that we wouldn't get again. We also had the chance to come for their Valentine's Day special, which was a prix fixe menu, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything felt thoughtfully curated and beautifully executed. Overall, it's one of our favorite sushi spots in the area and we always look forward to coming back.
