Since the mayor moved the seat of London governmental power further east along the river to new premises, County Hall is now home to multiple forms of entertainment for all the family.
Located across the river from the Houses of Parliament, you can find it easily at the base of the giant London Eye ferris wheel. It's home to the London Aquarium, Movieum and the Namco Arcade for entertainment.
There are various eating options from vendors selling noodles from carts to the posh Ozu and Zen restaurants offering Japanese and Chinese food respectively. These restaurants are not cheap but then the view across the river to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben are amazing.
You can actually continue walking east along the south bank all the way to Tower Bridge - this is one of the best walks in London, taking you past the Royal Festival Hall, Globe Theatre, Tate Modern and HMS Belfast amongst others
