Very upset new customer here, shopping for another bank now. I pened a new account with 2 federal…read moregovernment checks and they said they'd need to hold them for 1 week since I'm a new customer. Ok, no problem I guess. 1 week later, I'm told they're not releasing funds until the following day at 3pm (more than 8 days later), supposedly because yesterday was a bank holiday and "they couldn't do anything about it" despite their promise they'd be available today. Also, the "Current balance" is not the same as "Available balance" which isn't shown on their site or app. You need to dig into the details to see if there is a "hold amount". Not obvious at all and shady that it's buried in the details sub-tab page.
