    Norma's arrival day.

If you're looking for that special dog to add to your life, you must look into Countryside Kennels in Madison, SD. They have several breeds from which to choose. We chose a 10 month old AKC Springer Spaniel named Norma, and she is a delight! She is sweet, soft, beautiful, and smart. Is SD too far for you? Not a problem! They deliver! Call Dorothy and Gary Sanborn so you may also find the dog(s) to fill your heart.

We got our Carin Terrier Fiona last January from Countryside. They were a great help to us because of the distance that we live. Just wanted to say Fiona has become part of the family she is so smart and loving to are 6 grandchildren. So happy that we were able to get her from them.

My mom and I have gotten 3 Springers from Countryside. Our girls are so special and are part of the family. Gary and Dorothy really care about these pups and know them well. We will continue to go to them to get our pups. We are so happy with our girls.

We adore our gorgeous sweetheart, Boone, from Countryside Kennel!!

Gary and Dorothy are wonderful! Upon the first few minutes of chatting, is was evident how much they love their pups and care about their breeding program. The process of selecting and receiving Boone far exceeded my expectations. I was hesitant to go with an out of area breeder due to not being able to make the trip to visit the Sanborn's and their dogs but every step of the way made me feel more and more comfortable. From the moment we met our little Boone, we knew we'd made the right choice. He is the epitome of a gorgeous, healthy and SWEETEST ESS and has brought such LOVE and JOY to our family. THANK YOU Countryside Kennels! We will be back.

Now that we have had our dog for a little over 3 months, we don't feel Jill was entirely honest with us. I reached out to her with my concerns, particularly about the health of our dog, and she has stopped responding. Our vet found dental calculus and gingivitis. She also found gingival recessions and periodontal disease on several teeth. This will cost us well over $1,000 to treat and it's definitely not a health issue that arises quickly. His oral hygiene was not adequately cared for. We continue to work with our dog on socialization, but he does not understand how to play with other dogs- only how to breed with them and he is very fearful of strangers. I would not recommend Poodles 2 Doodles to anyone after our experience.

Jill was very friendly and professional. We elected to make the 16 hour round trip to pick up our puppy, and Jill was very accommodating as our plans changed due to weather. On our second day home she checked in to see how things were going and assured us she is available should questions arise. I was very impressed with the beautiful kennels and greeting area at Poodles2Doodles. This is definitely a family business run with great care.

It said everything was within normal limits physically. But when we took the pup to our vet, she said that the dog had a serious underbite and we should have been told before we bought her. We had hoped to breed her for at least one litter of pups but would not breed her now and pass on that flaw to them. They told us that she was kennel trained that she goes through a dog door to go out side. That was not true she had no idea what a dog door was. She was so afraid of people she would run and flinch anytime someone tried to touch her. We have had her for 3 months now and she is still so scared of people, we are the only people that can get near her. If we hand her to someone else she shakes and tried to get away. Makes you wonder what her experience with people was, she was 6 months old when we got her so she had been with them all that time. Her puppy shots were given too early so they had to be redone by our vet. We called the vet in Iowa that signed off on them and he told me the breeder does the shots herself. They had no paperwork for us except the physical for a litter of pups. With the shot record on the back. Nothing individualized for our pup. It concerns me when someone raised 52 dogs at a time in a building. That is what they said they had in the pole building we were in to see her. We did not see the back where all the other dogs were we just heard all the barking and growling. We were very disappointed in the experience with this breeder.

Tons of testing, and nearly $1000 later, it was determined that she had liver disease. The type they diagnosed her with is genetic, so I reached out to Mulder Puppies and informed them of this genetic illness. Unlike all previous contacts made, I was completely ignored. No careful breeder should continue breeding dogs knowing they have a genetic disorder in their genes. Luckily, our pup is very loved and we will spend what is needed if and when this disease begins to alter her life (more than it has already affected her), but not everyone can say the same. This is unfair to the owners, and the pups. Very unprofessional, in my opinion.

We live 1 1/2 miles north of Lake Benton, MN on a small farm. Our adults are well cared for and are given attention every day. They all have names and are happy when they get their haircuts and nails trimmed. They receive their vaccinations as needed. Our puppies are socialized and most breeds are good with adults and children. Most of the Shih-Tzu mixes are good snugglers, although the other breeds can be as well. The pups have all of their first vaccinations, have been dewormed twice and had their first puppy check before they leave our place.
