Stopped by on our way back from Ocean City this past Tuesday. Parking was easy and kids under a certain age are free and so are grandparents, so we loved that for our group. Tons of things for the little ones to do from feeding goats, little playhouses, playgrounds, corn maze, picture set up areas, and much more! Wish we had the space for pumpkins in the back of our car, we would of grabbed a few.

Ice cream flavors!

My family and I dropped in driving to ocean city, it was our first time here. The farm Itself is pretty small but it has a good chunk of kids activities. It's $6.00 a person to get in with kids under two free and grandparents free. They say they close at 5:30 but that's a lie you pay and have to be out by 5:00.. now the reason for the two start is the rudeness from the older staff, the younger staff was amazing!! First my father and I went to get ice cream for him and we asked what time the ice cream closed the lady said 5:15 so when I went back to get ice cream for the rest of us the lady was so rude standing at the end of the line saying they are closed I explained to her we asked what time they closed....... After going back and forth she finally let us get in line... and lastly when your eating ur fast melting ice cream outside trying to enjoy yourself since you know we just paid 8 dollars per ice cream another lady is going around kicking people out the parking lot... like i get it you guys want to Go home but there's a different approach to take and I feel it should mention somewhere that you must leave the parking lot by this time... I would love to come back here again but not sure with the way the older staff was, but might do a quick stop for the ice cream cause that was delicious

Dropped by this cute, little farm from a trip to Ocean City. It was a nice way to greet the beginning of Fall with all the pumpkin decorations and display for sale. They have all kinds of pumpkins. I love their display! I love how they did it so organized, with labels and with prices. They also have a creamer and we went to try of course the Pumpkin Pie ice cream and it was to die for! We also ordered smores milk shake and it was also good. Farm fresh dairy and produce are truly the best! They have tables and chairs for people to dine out and the weather that day was awesome. They also had pumpkin patch and somewhat like a playground but that part you have to pay a fee to go in. But we saw a lot of kinds running around and having so much few so i think it is all worth the bucks! Ideal place for kids, and grown ups as well. If you're looking for pumpkins to take home and ice cream to enjoy for yourself before it gets really cold, drop by this place!

The growing crops are a beautiful display of shades of green.

Bottom Line: A working farm and agrarian utopia that sells fun and ice cream from June to October. Hooray! I finally made it to Councell Farms. I really didn't know anything about it other than on several occasions I longingly looked at it while passing by on US-50. Here's what I've learned: Councell Farms is a working farm selling produce, ice cream and fun from June to October. I am bizarrely fascinated by agriculture so just the thought of going to a farm is delightful for me but what probably excites most is either the homemade fresh ice cream or the fall time festivities. In full disclosure, I didn't try the ice cream since I was too full from my lunch but my experience with farm fresh ice cream is that there is nothing richer or creamier. One of these days I will make it back for ice cream. I did however enjoy some of the fall festivities. In the fall Councell Farms has a "Field of Fun" and Pumpkin Patch. The Field of Fun has various games, activities and photo ops for families. Even if you don't want to dig around in the pumpkin patch, you can roam the aisles of pumpkins, gourds and Indian corn. I loved looking at the variety of pumpkins and gourds. I'd love to check out Councell Farms in the summer too as I understand they have fresh produce like watermelons, peaches, corn and tomatoes - you know, all the yummy stuff that grows on the Eastern Sho'. I was a tad worried about having to pull onto US-50 after visiting the farm but it actually wasn't an issue. It was easy to get onto US-50 westbound and the two cars in front of s actually turned left to get east! I think there is a traffic light not too far away that helps meter out traffic. Councell Farms' website is painfully out of date but they are open for the 2018 season and you can find their latest updates on their Facebook page.

Randomly stopped here on our drive through Eastern Shore and had such a fun and cute experience. We went through their corn maze, had a rubber ducky race, and checked out there variety of pumpkins! Finally. We tried their delicious ice cream! Their portion size was huge! The medium scoop was the perfect amount to share for two!

Very family friendly! Kids have playground and swings to have some fun. You have a HUGE selection of all sorts of pumpkins. They have farms for fresh produce. My favorite,of course, is their ice cream!

2 scoops too big for the cone!

It's like a small town farmers market. It was like going to a better Trader Joe's. I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

A 16 minute hayride from Mr. Pepper is only $2 and the corn maze is $5 for 13 and older and cheaper/free for smaller children. They also sell other produce and snacks for cheap. Had such a fun time and definitely coming back next fall.

My husband and I came here with friends and their two four year old sons to pick out some pumpkins while enjoying our last day in Delaware. Parking was easy and they have tons of different pumpkins to choose from. I have to admit, we definitely found some nasty looking suckers, but there were also plenty of beauties to bring home. The kids loved hunting around for the best pumpkin, so it was a win regardless. You can walk through the patch to pick one you like, or they have some smaller pumpkins and super large ones already set aside in bins. Wheel barrows are there to use for your convenience. This was definitely a no frills pumpkin patch, but if pumpkins are what you're looking for than you've came to the right place! I was shocked at how inexpensive all the pumpkins were too. If you're bringing the kiddos along they also have a hay ride that runs every so many minutes. I want to say it cost somewhere between $2-5 to ride it. Definitely support local this fall and check out Mr. Pepper's!

Tons of fun! But, it was clear that we were not going anywhere without at least a pump for our tire, which we had just left at home (sure we wouldn't have needed it). We saw a few gentleman working hard on the upkeep of their beautiful farm, getting the land ready for some fall fun including a maze, slides, and so much more. When one of our troop went to find help, the most generous gentleman came to our rescue and offered to help immediately. He took on the car while offering us a stay with the many sweet animals of the farm: baby bunnies, loving pigs, and joyous chickens. He even brought in another gentleman, and another. They informed us that the car would need a change of tire, and completed the process for us. They stopped , what I'm sure was a grieving workday in the sun, to help us get safely back on the road, even giving us directions to the nearest tire shop to pick up some more tires. These men are who make humanity so great! So, if you're looking for some family fun this fall, I hope you choose Bowles Farm, and that you get to patronize the lovely people who made our day!
