Hello.
I had a bad experience at the Belfast Victoria Square Castle Lane city centre store.
First of all, I bought, or so I thought, a North Face McMurdo 2 parka. Staff member, Ally, told me it was a McMurdo 2 in black, which is what I wanted.
She was wrong. It was not. So, then, I get to return it. Ally apologized, I suppose a simple mistake.
That's life, we all make mistakes.
What I am absolutely furious about is:
I checked to see if North Face McMurdo in black was available on the Cotswold website. It of course was not.
Ally, and another very rude lady working the counter, I didn't get a name, but she has long blonde hair, in a ponytail, both made comments, always has a expression on her face of, if I smile, it will cost her money,
*if I didn't have odd or weird tastes, in black, I could find something there I liked.* Can you believe that?! That there is something wrong with me for liking to wear black color clothing.
Cotswold sells clothing in black color, so, what is the problem?
I responded with, you are both dressed in all black. They both replied, "well, if it was not for work, they wouldn't".
Lastly, I do not see it is any of their business what color I prefer, or, how I dress for that matter. That comment is very rude and insulting, and I have been steaming angry and furious since yesterday about this. I have NEVER, EVER been so insulted by a staff person, in any shop in the world, in my entire life! We had endured her rude, insulting comments over the last several years, laughing it off, or trying to ignore the comments. Enough is enough!
When I think of the literally thousands of pounds my wife and I have spent in this store over the last 3 years,, it literally makes me ill, furious and appalled! . And, apparently, by the lack of response by upper management, or area manager of Cotswold, our business is of no importance to them whatsoever. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. This rude behavior by a member of Cotswold staff is apparently acceptable. Nor any type of incentive to get us to return to one of their shops!
But, I can insure you, we will not be returning there!
I had to inform you of this, and I will see if anything is done about this. We will not hold our breath for that event.
