Neil was a great instructor and very friendly to boot. This is a lovely activity to mix up your time whilst in the Cotswolds.

Truly awful. I've had to shrink down my full rant - it doesn't fit on here…read more We spent £3,400 at Bowsports as part of a Club purchase and we drove from Glasgow to collect it to save on P&P which was over £300. I spoke to Robert (good guy) repeatedly in the weeks leading up to the day of collection. Told him what time (as soon as they opened) and had our order confirmed and paid for. We hired a van and myself and the Quartermaster drove down - it took a long time but it was saving money so it was worth it. I was assured our order would be ready. 1 - The order was NOT ready. Not in anyway, shape, or form. How do I know this? Well, they told me. It took TWO HOURS to get our order ready. TWO HOURS. It us another days van hire. 2 - Not ONCE did we get a "thank you for your custom" or "thanks for coming down to us". Not ONCE. I don't know - maybe they didn't want £3,400. We felt like we were just wasting their time. Apart from Robert, NO-ONE spoke to us from the firm. 3 - We had pre-ordered some other stuff with the intent to pay on arrival, (bosses, targets, etc) which I was assured was in stock. We got there and sure enough, out of five bosses, four were missing the bolts and screws. The owner had to jump out to a DIY shop and buy matching bolts / screws 4 - Truly AWFUL customer service. Robert was a nice lad, I don't blame him. It's clearly the owner who has issues. Never introduced himself to us, never came to speak to us, never thanked us for our business. When he vanished to get the bolts, he came back and just passed them over to us in the carpark without so much as an apology. 5 - We wanted to buy more stuff in the shop, but we wanted to use Paypal so we could use the Club account money. They wouldn't let us 'for security issues' and said they wouldn't process the order if I bought it online right then. I had to use my personal credit card to get the rest of the stuff. 6 - Stuff we'd ordered and paid for, wasn't actually in stock. A basic stock tracker - novel concept no? We had to re-jig the order to get what we needed, which is stressful to say the least. 7 - Staff are clearly terrified of the owner. They were passing out target frames to us through the front door of the shop (nah, lets not open the big warehouse shutter), and I held the door open to the warehouse so they could get the frames through without phaffing about. They GRABBED the door off me and slammed it shut saying they'd get into trouble. It's not a bloody bank! 8 - We'd bought and paid for an arrow straightener which lo, wasn't in stock on the day. So as we checked things off, I saw there was £10 attached to the arrow straightener cost. "What's that for?" "P&P". It's only because I could see Robert was a decent lad working in hellish conditions that I didn't start a riot in the shop. We've just driven half the country, spent a few thousand quid, been treated like dirt, and YOU'RE CHARGING ME £10 FOR DELIVERY ON AN ITEM I HAD PAID FOR AND YOU SAID WAS IN STOCK? 9 - Just a horrible place. The shop is lifeless, the stock is alright, but the customer service from the owner is just the single, worst experience I've ever had. I don't expect special treatment, but by christ, a handshake and a thank you would've been the mark of a true man - I don't expect to be pretty much ignored. What can I say? Bowsports seemed alright on the phone and email, but when it came to the crunch, they were truly the single worst archery suppliers I've ever encountered. They will not be getting a single penny further from our Club, and we have informed all our members of this debacle. They have missed out on several thousand pounds more for the second part of the grant. We'll stick to Clickers, who would it turns out, have actually opened their shop on a time and date to suit us. Now that's service - Bowsports, take note, you're a disgrace.

I have bought equipment from Bowsports on three occasions, ranging from a few pounds on a new tab…read moreto buying two full sets of equipment. On each occasion they could not have been more helpful and I was always made to feel a valued customer. I could not recommend them more highly!
