Fixed our Howard Miller wall clock on timely basis. A little more $ than I thought but all in all good service and quick turn around.

Excellent customer service and workmanship. How wonderful to have someone local who is qualified to work on Rolex, Fossil, etc.

We came in with the intention of purchasing diamond studs for my husband, and I was initially excited to see Nikki, whom I had previously raved about for her kindness. Hoping to give her the sale, I greeted her with a friendly "Hi friend!" as she sat behind the desk. To my shock, she didn't respond--she only glanced at me coldly over her glasses. I later realized she was on a call, but even so, a simple smile or warm acknowledgment would have been appreciated. Instead, she alternated between icy glares and avoiding eye contact altogether. It was one of the coldest receptions I've ever experienced in customer service. Things didn't get better from there. The associate assisting us with the studs gave off the same unhelpful energy. When I asked for her opinion on which size would look best on my husband, her response was an apathetic, "I don't know. I mean, it's up to you." I clarified that I was looking for her opinion, but she made no effort to engage or offer any real help. It felt as though she wasn't interested in assisting us at all. I'm not sure what's going on at this location, but this experience was both disappointing and uncomfortable. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was astonishing. We left without making a purchase and, frankly, will never waste our time or money at the Rockingham Kay Jewelers again. If you're looking for a warm, helpful, and professional shopping experience, I strongly recommend driving a little farther to the Florence, SC location, where Jacob and his team will remind you what great customer service should look like.

I took the opportunity to use them recently when I had some repairs to be done. I had broken the shank on my wedding band and brought it in to be repaired. They measured it, and sized it and informed me it would be $69 to repair it. They examined it and made sure it didn't need any other repairs before I paid them and expected my ring back nice and new again in a few days. Several days later I heard back from Kay saying that the price for the same repair had now changed. Instead of $69, it was going be an additional $98!!! I asked them how this could be, they tried to explain the work that needed to be done would cost more, but this is the same work that was estimated when I gave it to them. Seems to me they are just trying to get more money for the same job they already quoted. To top this off, my wife dropped off a pair of earrings to have the posts 'SHORTENED' because Kay had installed posts that were too long. They examined them and said it wouldn't be too much to fix. We got a call a few weeks later saying they wanted $150 to shorten the shanks!! I can see if they wanted to replace them but we only wanted them shortened. At the same time we had them examine another ring in the store. They found one of the prongs on one one of the diamonds needed to be replaced and they sent it away to be repaired. A few days later they called and said that ALL of the prongs needed to be re tipped!!! and it was going to be over $150 to do the repairs. Sounds to me like they are crooked mechanics finding problems that don't exist to get more money from their clients! Don't shop here, take the extra time to drive to Southern Pines.
